This world... Is confusing, to say the least. Or at the very least, the one that's taking care of me, is very confusing.
It's been a few weeks since I've arrived here. And that bonehead, he really expected me to just be able to hunt my own food, to sleep outside, and to survive the menagerie of beast lurking from all around the woods.
Luckily, the one-eyed, battle-scarred bear understands that I'm just a damn baby. Every now and then, it would bring back batches of berries as well as jars of milk for me to eat and drink. It would even cuddle up with me in the shed every night.
Should this little, weeks-old body consumes solid food? Who knows? I've never planned to be a parent before, nor have I held a real baby before.
But regardless, the bear is by far a better parent than that skull-headed guy.
Weirdly enough, every day, unimaginable horrors that shouldn't ever be seen by any conscious beings would suddenly barge through the cabin's door to run away into the forest. But that skull-headed guy would always subdue it a second or two after they began running.
One time it was a dragon with its neck opening like a venus-flytrap, the other day it was an amalgamation of deers, horses, and sheep's fused into a big pile of fleshy ball, while the most recent was a giant floating jellyfish that has an eye as its bell.
Call me suspicious cuz I'm smelling something fishy happening within that cabin.
But, again, how would a baby deal with that?
So now, I'm just gonna go live as a baby. Eating, pooping, crying, sleeping, repeat.
This morning though, something else came up. When I woke up, I realized that Teddy (the bear that I creatively named) woke up early. So I crawl my way out of the shed to see where it is, only to see that a guest is paying a visit.
On the cabin's porch, talking to the skull-headed man with Teddy sitting alongside him, is a big knight in all black armor.
They seem be discussing something important, so I try to crawl closer to hear what they're saying. That's when the big knight notice me.
Immediately, he appear in front of me within a blink of an eye. With that, a gust of wind hit my face. Compared to him, I only stand (sit) at his mere ankle, so to look up to him, my head almost fall backwards.
"You. Speak your name, before I carve it out of you."
Despite the threatening words of his solemn, deep voice. I only feel absolute flabbergast as there's no way this guy thinks I'll be able to answer him.
The skull-headed guy soon join by the Knight's side, so I try to call for his backup— But his stare... It's so... There's no way he's also expecting me to answer too, right?
Luckily, Teddy soon would come to my rescue. It nudges at the Knight before it then licks my cheeks.
"I don't care that you're fond of it. It shall meet its final breath if it refuses to speak."
Really, you would call me an 'it'? Seriously, am I not adorable? But, I do find newborn babies to look weird though... Also, I haven't seen my face at all throughout this new life of mine. So maybe, he's aware of something I'm not...
But now... I really need to find an exit to this whole situation. These people lacks common sense and I deserve better parents.
But before I know it, the edge of the Knight's sword is already right above me, lunging down, creating a torpedo of sharp wind that I could feel.
Yup, I chose the wrong place to stay.
Is what I would say if I ended up dead.
The sword did pierce through me. But somehow, I'm not dead, nor am I bloody.
I don't feel any pain whatsoever, only the sensation of being tickled coming from the center of my head as well as from within my body itself. My body feels as if I'm being tickled from under my skin.
That's when my body suddenly explode, or more like... disperse, into tenths of purple butterflies. It all feels surreal, as if I'm in a dream. I can see different angles at the same time. How Teddy's eye seems shocked, yet its other is unexpressive with its blindness. How the knight flinch at the sight, how his body is now slightly trembling.
As bits of me fly all around them, I feel a sudden pull catching all of me. Suddenly my body reformed back right beside the knight's sword, now lodged deep into the ground.
"Interesting," The skull-headed man remarks.
With curious eyes, now I face the Knight, him flinching back the moment I do so.
Before anything else could happen, the skull-head man slaps a dead spider onto the knight's face, thus he suddenly breaks into a cartoonish run, back where he came from.
Clapping his gloved hands, the skull-headed man then stands before me, before picking me up like I'm a cat, "With that out of the way, now I have a reason to keep you."
For some reason, I feel irked.
