it was the day of the coronation for my friend and for me i was being crowned the official protector of the four of them. i had barley talked to Ed and the fact he was being pestered about the coronation helped. it all made since after reading that one passage i finished all the others and sent them back except to the fourth which i was still holding onto.

i was being helped into a gold dress which matched my wings i was strapless and left my top half bare it was a good job Narnia was warm. i then had my hair curled while my clippers were put on my feet. the next was jewellery and make up. i had never warn make up before mum said i was too pretty to hide.

after i was finished i thanked everyone and made my way out seeing the Pevensies all talking to one another i cleared my throat, they turned and their jaw dropped i was starting to get uncomfortable.

"okay would you stop staring it freaking me out" i grabbed my arms they all looked very royal.

"you look pretty Genie" Lucy comes and hugs me

"thanks Lu" Susan hugs me where the other boys are still in awe then we see Aslan. i was to follow behind the five through the room then stand between Peter and Susan. the doors opened and we entered trumpets announced our arrive and we walked down centaurs were dressed in armour and holding up their swards we stopped and Aslan stepped aside as i went and stood between Peter and Susan.

"to the glistening Eastern sea. i give you Queen Lucy... The Valiant" Mr Tumnus is followed my Beaver and Bea hold in cushions he takes a silver Circlet and places it on her head she  stand and grins.

"to the great western wood. King Edmund the Just" Mr Tumnus place a sliver crown on Edmund's head.

"to the radiant southern sun Queen Susan the Gentle." Tumnus crows Susan.

"and to the clear northern Sky i give you King Peter magnificent" Peter is then crowned

"now for their protector. i give you Lady Genevieve, the Brave and Protector of the Kings and Queens " a silver circlet is placed on my head. i stand my friends sit on their thrones.

"once a King or Queen of Narnia. always a King or Queen may your wisdom grace us until the stars reign down from the heavens. Long Live King Peter, Long Live King Edmund, Long Live Queen Susan, Long Live Queen Lucy and Long Live Lady Genevieve" everyone clapped after the repeated Aslan

that's when the celebration began.

i was congratulates as were the others there was a big feast and the five of us sat at the head table.

"this is very weird." i mumble taking some soup

"how is it weird." Ed asked from beside me.

"I'm sitting with the Kings and Queens when i'm only the protector" i replied

"your our best friend as well anyway if anything happens you should be close" i shrugged and we continued easting after we were finished there was a bit of rest. everything was cleared before everyone was dancing.  being the party pooper i am i wasn't smiling i kept think about what i had learned and how awkward things would be. i made my way out to the balcony overlooking the beach.

"what's wrong you've had a sour look all evening." i looked back to see Edmund with a teasing smile.

"not now Edmund" i look back out at the beach, he being Ed decides not to listen. coming closer he take my shoulder.

"what is it and don't say nothing" i sigh

"ignorance is bliss Ed i suggest you keep it." still not giving away anything. i wanted things to be the same for him me was a different story.

"not when i make you less fun i mean we should be causing devious havoc around here, but you are here with a Mrs Grumpy face." i never answered

"tell me come on2 he pulled this adorable face which had me melting. but i had to stick to it

"no if i tell you it will make things extremely awkward and i don't want that so just leave it Ed or I'll set Peter on you." i made my way down to another floor away from the part. Ed followed.

"Genevieve Alexia Callahan tell me right now. come on I'm you best friend" he went on listing random thing before i snapped.

"your my one true love okay" i shouted we were far enough so no one heard.

"what?" he questioned, i dropped my dress.

"heart's desire, kindred sprit...soul mate. my kind are said to be gifted with having one person that will love them forever and vice versa. it said then when the two meet the will be connected forever and always. what happens to one usually happens to the other its that strong but develops over time. your mine and I'm yours Aslan confirmed it when i saw him. you happy now." i rant. he just stared

"see! its awkward isn't it. i bet you only see me as the best friend and Protector... i knew this would happen i..." i was cut off with his lips on mine, i was shocked completely and utterly shocked but i found my eyes closing and kissing back. should 11 year olds be doing this? i don't know but right now i really didn't care.

he pulled away and i was left dazed.

"would you be quite for one minute and stop think you know why goes through my head" he laughed i recovered.

"what?" i cleared my throat when i came out high.

"I've had a crush on you since i saw you clutching on to your parents hand and i think I've been in love with you for a while." he confessed a smile broke out across.

"really?"

"really" he smiled as he took my hand and led me back up to the reception another song started to play, Edmund held out his hand.

"may have this dance fair lady" he bowed i took and laughed.

"yes you may"  we begin to dance and as we draw closer he kisses me.
