Chapter 5. Fleeting.

Madara's POV.

This guy was even more sneaky than I thought. Not only was he using the man in the bandages as a medium, but he was also doing other things like reincarnating 'old friends'. The moment she was summoned back into this world, I sensed her chakra. It was undoubtedly hers.

I didn't know if I should be looking forward to our meeting or not. I left her alone after my 'death' and never let her hear something from me again. She must be angry with me for leaving her out of my plans. After all those years of loyalty, I deceived her.

I chuckled. I should be looking forward to seeing her again after all.

''My guess was right.'' I heard him say as I looked down at one of the divisions of the Allied Shinobi Forces. ''What comes naturally after the Sharingan, is the Rinnegan.''

I turned my head to look at him. ''I awakened the Rinnegan just prior to my death.'' I spoke. ''You said your name was Kabuto? What did you do to this body?''

''Like I told you.'' he muttered. ''I made you better than you were at your peak.''

My eyes narrowed into a glare. ''You bastard...'' I grunted. ''You know the secrets of my body? You can't even read the Uchiha Stone Tablet, but you still managed to decipher it!?''

I couldn't see his expression when he was using this guy as a puppet, but wherever he really was, I knew he was smirking. ''I just tested some hypotheses drawn from years of data from experiments Lord Orochimaru and I conducted.'' Kabuto explained. ''And now, you are verifying my hypotheses. You are able to achieve a piece of that God's power; the power of the Sage of the Six Paths, thanks to the power I built into you.''

''Do not misunderstand.'' I said monotonously as I looked back to the crowd in front of me.  ''This is not power of your creation!''

Suzume's POV.

I almost fell over when the ground began to shake violently. Grunting, I held onto a big rock and stared into the distance.

It wasn't hard to tell what was causing the tremors.

A huge cloud of smoke was covering the land not too far away from where I stood. A jutsu so powerful as this one could only be performed by someone with a lot of chakra. This enormous amount of chakra could only belong to Madara. I smirked and pushed myself away from the rock when the shaking stopped.

''That son of a bitch.'' I breathed. ''I'd have liked to see that from up close.''

I decided not to postpone meeting up with Madara any longer. I wanted to see him. Even though my life became tougher after his disappearance, in other words 'death', I still longed to see him. I can't believe I passed away before him while I thought he was dead all the time.

After all those years of supporting him, he turned his back to me. I felt like I was stabbed in the back now, but I couldn't bring myself to turn my back against him. Too much had happened for me to do that. Even though those fleeting memories didn't mean anything to Madara, they did mean a lot to me.

So, I wasn't planning on betraying him. I wanted to forgive him, but I also wanted something in return.

Third Person.

''I'll fight him!" Onoki grunted.

''That's crazy!'' Temari exclaimed. ''You're in no shape to do it!"

Onoki was stubborn about giving up, but even he knew he couldn't beat the Uchiha the way he was now. Blood came from his eye and his body hurt all over.

''I'd like to try out some more jutsu...'' Madara muttered as he looked down at Onoki and a few of his allies. ''But I don't think you can dance anymore, Onoki.''

''Looks like you're having fun, Madara-sama.''

All heads turned into the direction the feminine voice came from. Onoki's eyes widened once he saw another person he was also very familiar with.

''It's been a few years, Onoki!'' She grinned. ''You've gotten old.''

''Who is she, Gramps Tsuchikage?'' Naruto asked, confused, just as clueless as the others.

''Uchiha Suzume.''

Madara closed his eyes and hummed. ''I am having fun, so I'd appreciate it if you'd just be a spectator during this fight, Suzume.''

''You'd appreciate it?'' she mocked as she jumped down to the same level as Naruto and the others, looking up to Madara. ''If you want me to do as you say, I want you to answer a few questions first.''

Madara chuckled. ''You aren't so obedient anymore, are you?''

Suzume glared at him. Of course she was glad to see him doing so well, even under these circumstances, but before she could forgive him, she needed answers.

''I'm serious here, Madara.'' she said. ''Tell me what I want to know.''

Madara grunted. ''Fine.'' he agreed. ''But only after this fight.''

Suzume gritted her teeth. ''Fine.''
