Let me tell you-it's pretty hard to focus when you're thinking of theories, clues, and explanations. But I still managed to pick up on what Elrond was saying.

Basically, he answered a few of our questions about Rivendell, but I honestly don't think anyone can explain the looks of recognition. So we didn't ask.

I soon found myself in the Sky Oak again, writing down everything that had happened since we came. I could study it later.

Suddenly, I heard a voice behind me. "Somehow, I expected to find you up here." I turned around to see Legolas, who I hadn't heard approaching.

I hurriedly closed my journal, blushing. I don't like anyone seeing the stories I write in there.

"What brings you here today?" He asked.

"Is 'everything' an answer?" I replied. It would have been slightly awkward explaining without spending over-obsessed with a bird. Thinking about it made me realize how strange it sounded.

"Why, yes, I do believe that is an acceptable answer." He said, laughing. But I must ask, where do you come from?"

Another question I wasn't quite sure how to respond to. "I'll just say from the land of my books, for that's where I am most of the time."

Legolas smiled. "Is that one of them?" He asked, motioning to my journal.

"One I'm writing, actually" I replied, completely forgetting about trying to keep that secret.

I heard leaves rustling, and looked down to see Hermione climbing up.

"Carolyn!" She called. " You wouldn't believe what just happened!" She then noticed Legolas, and waved. "I'm Hermione, Carolyn's sister. You must be Legolas. She mentioned you in her sleep last night."

I was convinced that my cheeks were going to be permanently pink by the time this was over.

"I have to go" Legolas said, starting to climb down. "Meet you here tomorrow?"

"Alright!" I replied, watching him until he disappeared from sight.

Hermione gave me a smile that I knew all too well. "SOMEONE'S obviously in love!"

Do I even need to say that I blushed?

"Didn't you say that you had something to tell me?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Oh, yes" she replied. "I found another human"
