Carolyn POV

A/N: In order to make this chapter longer, I'm switching between POVs. Let me know if its confusing and I'll stop :)

Is it strange that I've always loved trees? Is it? I'm just glad I'm not the only one-Hermione's always loved them, too.

I moved along the branches of the Sky Oak like a cat-really, no surprise. I'd always had catlike instincts, and a little something more... But I wasn't going to shift into my cat form, not yet. I had other things to do...

The leaved covered me, concealing me from everyone else's sight. I could do it here.

Palm up, I lifted my hand to the sky, and a swirl of water shot out. I smiled, creating more swirls. I made the water dance in the air, moving by my command.

Whoops! I didn't tell you guys that I can control water? Well, now you know.

I don't know how I discovered or got it, it just...happened. Water shoots from my hands, and I can lift it out of oceans and rivers, and guide it by my willing.

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

Legolas POV

It wasn't surprising that I was in the Sky Oak. I went here whenever I visited Rivendell. I'd created my own path that I followed up, found a perfect place to do...pretty much whatever I felt like doing. Today, I was just sitting there, lost in thought...

Until a drop of water fell on my arm.

Rain? I thought, looking at the sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight, yet I felt another droplet hit me.

I climbed higher, trying to find the source. I soon heard a mixture of water splashing, leaves rustling, and...a girl laughing?

Carolyn POV

Water. A giant tree. What could make this day better? I couldn't help laughing. However, I unexpectedly met with resistance when I moved the water through the air.

I turned to see a now slightly wet elf staring at me through the leaves. The first thing I noticed was his eyes, two sky-river-ice blue crystal orbs. Wow, I get a bit poetic sometimes, don't I!

"You-" he started, but I barely heard him. I instinctively froze, having not expected anyone to come up here.

He climbed up to where I was. "Sorry if I scared you, but...what were you doing with the water?" he asked.

"I...I can control water" I said, the words rushing out of my mouth faster than expected. I blushed.

He smiled at me, before asking, "So...how do you do it?

I shrugged. "It just kinda happens. I don't know why" A question suddenly came to mind. "The people here are elves, right?"

"Most of them" he replied, before studying me closely.

Legolas POV

How in the world was this girl not an elf? She seemed almost exactly like one, it was hard to believe that she was a human. I looked at her, for I wouldn't believe it unless I saw.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

Now it was my turn to blush. "Just...something I needed to do..." I murmured.

She laughed. Her laugh was like soft raindrops hitting a river-fitting for a girl who controlled water.

"Carolyn, we have to go!" called a voice from the base of the tree.

"Coming!" she called back.

"Carolyn?" I asked her as she began her descent. She nodded.

"I'm Legolas" I told her, smiling. She smiled back, climbing back down.

It was only when she turned her head that I noticed that one of her ears was vaguely pointed.

@Minecraftian1213 Here's your longer chapter! Lolz
