P.O.V. Third

King was suddenly awoke to the sound of a rather loud bell. King out of instinct reached to his side to turn off the small alarm however to his surprise he didn't find it. After a few seconds has passed King slowly opened his eyes and looked to the side. He was initially confused not recognizing his surroundings, however this confusion quickly faded as he remembered where he was. 

King then looked around and saw the headmaster holding an alarm that he was using to wake the others. As they all slowly came to he stopped the alarm and looked around the room. King slowly stood up hearing this and looked at the male in front of him. "If you would all please get ready, we can begin the entrance exam for Beacon," Ozpin said as he looked at the several figures in front of him. 

Hearing this several of the figures began to prepare themselves for whatever the headmaster had planned for them, King included. After it seemed like the majority of them had gotten ready Ozpin turned around and began to walk out of the room. As he did several others began to follow him down the halls. After a few minutes they eventually exited the building and began walking towards a large stadium. 

King assumed this is where special events such as tournaments or other similar actives would be held. As he looked around the stadium he noticed several things that seemed to help it stand out such as a screen that was currently on for whatever reason. However the one thing that seemed to help at the moment were the several large metal creates that were around the arena. They didn't seem to belong and King could hear some noise coming from them. 

There was a large number of them, so much so that many of the crates actually needed to be stacked on top of each other. He watched as Ozpin walked to the center of the arena where there was a small microphone. "Please take a seat and wait for further instruction," The male said as he looked at the several figures in front of him. When he said this they all did as instructed and found a place to sit with King once again isolating himself sitting a bit away from the others. 

After several minutes had passed Glynda walked into the room with the potential female students walking behind her. When they did she walked to the microphone and like Ozpin told them to take a seat. King watched as they did however he unexpectedly received a visitor, a familiar blonde and white haired female taking a seat beside him. "Heya!" She said with a smile as she looked at King. 

"Oh, hi Fia," King said nervously as he looked at the female in front of him. The female smiled brightly hearing this and her ears twitched excitedly at the thought of him having remembered her name. 

"So what do you think we're going to be doing?" Fia asked as she looked at the male in front of her. 

"I don't know, hopefully we're not fighting each other. I know everyone is probably eager to show off their skills, but I don't think trying to hurt each other on the first day is a good idea," King said as he looked at the female in front of him. "Although," King said as he spotted a few guys that seemed to be bullying another Faunus. "I will admit there are some that I probably wouldn't mind fighting," King said as he looked at the female in front of him. 

Hearing this Fia turned to look at where he was gazing and grimaced seeing the sight in front of her. She had thought Beacon would be safe from the discrimination that she faced everywhere else, however it seemed like not even a place where huntsmen to be gathered to become defenders of humanity. She sighed seeing this and looked at the sight in front of her. However some static seemed to break the tension. 

"All of you sit down now, before I personally escort you off Beacon property," Glynda threatened as she looked at the several figures in front of her. King smiled slightly hearing this and watched as Glynda moved away from the microphone to allow Ozpin to speak. The elderly male walked in front of the small device and cleared his throat. 

"Attention everyone, I'm sure you're all curious as to why I brought you to the Beacon stadium. Well the answer is rather simple, this years entrance exam is going to be a field test," Ozpin said as he looked at the several figures in front of him. As soon as he said this there were several whispers, however they quickly subsided as Ozpin continued to speak. 

"This stadium is equipped with state of the art Atlesian technology and it has been programed to simulate nearly every type of environment from lush and tropical forests, to the fiery heat of volcanoes," Ozpin began as he looked at the students in front of him. "I'm sure you've all noticed the several metal creates we have here. In these crates there are several different types of grimm," Ozpin said as he looked at the students in front of him. 

"The test will work in a fairly simple fashion," Ozpin said as he used his cane to point to the monitor that King had noticed earlier. "When it is your turn to fight, we will match you with a random grimm in an random environment. Your job will be easy, defeat the grimm that you've been assigned in the allotted time. If you succeed then please report to me for further instruction. If you fail then please report to professor Goodwitch so that she may help you off the premise," Ozpin said as he looked at the crowd in front of him. 

"Are there any questions?" Ozpin asked as he looked at the crowd and while he received several whispers however it seemed like Fia was the only one brave enough to actually raise their hand. "Yes?" Ozpin asked as he looked at the female in front of him. 

"How will this help decide our teams?" Fia asked as she looked at the male in front of her. Ozpin smiled hearing this and nodded. 

"An excellent question, I as well as two others will be watching you from the spectating room. We will be taking several notes, and scoring you on several different accepts. Then we shall pair you with your partner accordingly and move onto pairing you with your team. The process will take some time but will be decided before the day has come to a close," Ozpin said as he looked at her. "Now then, are there any more questions?" Ozpin asked as he looked at the several figures in front of him. 

The crowd seemed to be quiet hearing this and he smiled. "Very well, now then if you'll excuse me. The process will began in just a moment," Ozpin said as he began to walk off stage. As he did Glynda picked up the mic that he had been speaking into and took it off stage. However unlike Ozpin she didn't exit the area instead standing to the side. King was confused by this but decided not to question it. 

King looked at the screen waiting for the first name to appear. When it did he noticed that it was one of the bullies that King had seen and from what the screen was showing it seemed like he was going to be fighting a small swarm of three lancers. I watched as the male slowly made his way to the stage and I soon realized why Glynda hadn't left yet. She used her riding crop to project her semblance and create a giant purple dome over the area. Most likely so the grimm couldn't escape and start attacking the other students.

King watched as the male struggled to attack the Lancers that were around him. He kept hiding behind several different items. "Sooo," Fia said as she turned to look at the male in front of her causing King to turn and look at her. "What kind of grimm do you think they have?" Fia asked as she looked at the male in front of her. 

"I don't know, probably a bunch. I remember reading some things about Beacon before I came here. I don't remember seeing anything about Lancers in the Emerald Forest," King said as he looked at the female next to him. Fia smiled and nodded hearing this the two continued to talk about several thing for nearly an hour before it was finally Fia's turn to fight. King watched as the screen showed that she'd be fighting a Beringel in a hot, and lush territory. 

"Good luck," King said as he watched Fia slowly make her way to the arena. King was hoping that she would pass since she seemed to be a nice person. King watched as Glynda once again created a dome around them and the Beringel was released letting out a loud roar as it did. King didn't know much about them since they weren't common where he lived but he did know that they were supposed to be one of the more dangerous grimm as well as a bit more aggressive than most others. 

King watched Fia readied herself with a staff. When she raised it towards the creature fire began gathering at the tip and she watched as the creature ran towards her. Fia skilled spun as it ran towards her avoiding the attack, as she did she slammed her staff in the Beringels back causing the fire that had been gather at the tip to explode and send the Beringel away from her. Fia then pressed a small button on her staff and her staff began to transform into a small hand cannon where more fire began to gather. 

The Beringel turned around letting out another loud roar as it began charging at the female. However before it could get close the fire that had been gathering was shot forward disorienting the create as it came into contact with it and exploded. Fia once again pushed a small button on her weapon causing it to turn into a small staff. While the Beringel was still disoriented she ran towards it and struck the grimm with the tip of her staff. 

It seemed to have little to no effect on the grimm however this was planned as Fia only wanted to get close to the creature pushing another button causing the tip of her weapon to spread open and wrap around the Beringels neck The Beringel then reached for her and Fia quickly pushed another button closing her eyes as she prepared for the impact of the creatures attack. However to her surprise it never came as it let out a loud screech of pain. 

The creature of grimm the turned to dust revealing that in the small collar that had wrapped around the Beringels neck now had several spikes in it that lead to the center. She sighed seeing this and her weapon transformed again into its inactive state. When she did several of the others began clapping for her and she waved clearly confident about her victory. 

Fia placed her weapon on her hip and turned to see that the dome had been let down. When it was Glynda walked up to the female. "Go to professor Ozpin, he's in the observation room," Glynda said as she looked at the male. Fia nodded hearing this and began to make her way up the stairs to the area

As she did she turned to glance at King and smiled as she waved to him before continuing to the room that Glynda had pointed at. King sighed as he watched her walk into the room and turned to watch the next fight waiting patiently for his turn. After several minutes King saw his name appear on the screen. He smiled and stood up, he didn't see the point in waiting to see what he was going to be up against and began to make his way towards the arena. 

As he did he looked at the screen and saw that he would be fighting a Manticore in a dry and sandy environment. King had mixed feeling about this and eventually made his way onto the arena and within a few seconds the purple dome was once again around them. King grabbed his weapon as the crate was slowly opened, and the Manticore came flying out letting out a loud roaring screech as it did. 

King began to spin his scythe seeing this and looked up at the creature as it continued to fly around him. King watched as it did so and eventually let go of his scythe, and as he did the weapon continued to float and spin in the air beside him. The creature then spit several fireballs at him and King sent his scythe forward with it spinning at an incredible speed. It collided with each of the fireballs causing a ring of fire to form around the weapon. 

The Manticore moved to the side causing the blade to miss as it went by the creature. When it did the Manticore began to fly towards King and his scythe turned and began to chase after it. The crowd became a bit concerned seeing that King wasn't doing anything and Glynda was close to stopping the match however seeing how calm King was decided against it. A few seconds later she saw why he was so calm, as the creature came to a stop about a foot from King and was sent in the opposite direction with nearly twice as much force as it had been traveling. 

This sent the Manticore towards King's scythe and while it seemed like King was going to kill it for a moment, however the creature managed to redirect itself at the last moment avoiding it's doom. But the creature didn't escape unharmed as King's scythe had completely cut off one of its wings. This sent the creature crashing into the ground letting out a loud screech as it did, the manticore before to flail wilding for a moment as King scythe once again returned to his side. 

King watched as the creature continued to flail before he reached for his scythe and pressed one of the many buttons on it. When he did the scythe began to change into several saw blades that were shaped like gears. Like his scythe they all began rotating at an incredible speed and were sent towards the creature. King followed behind them however at a notably slower rate, showing that he was incredibly confident about the situation. 

As the blades rotated around the manticore it used it's massive hands and tail to swipe the blades away. As one of the blades came towards it the Manticore shot a fireball at it sending it towards King. When it did King suddenly dashed forward jumped off the saw as all the blades suddenly changed directions and gather around King forming a scythe. As it landed in King hands he began to spin his blade hitting the manticore and beheading it. 

When he did he heard some slight clapping and felt a bit embarrassed, as King slowed walked off the stage Glynda walked up to him. "Go speak to the headmaster, he's in the observation room," Glynda said as she looked at the male. King nodded hearing this and began to walk up the small large set of stairs turning to see who the next student to fight would be. He didn't take to much interest in the person fighting since they didn't seem to stand out much. 

As he walked into the room he saw Ozpin and two others staring down at the student in front of them. As they did Ozpin turned to look at King and smiled. "King Kresnik, I'd like to be the first to welcome you to Beacon Academy. You have already been scored and your partner will be chosen after all the others have competed as well," Ozpin said as he turned to gesture to a small door that seemed to lead out of the stadium. 

"You can leave through that door, feel free to roam the campus if you want. However I must request that you report to the area you gathered yesterday when the test is complete," Ozpin said as he looked at the male in front of him. King nodded hearing this and began to walk towards the door. When he left he saw Fia leaning against the wall waiting for him. 

"Oh hey, you're finally here," Fia said her fox tail start to wag slightly showing her excitement. 

"Did you wait here for me?" King asked as he looked at the female in front of him. 

"Mhm!" Fia chimed happily as she looked at the male in front of her. King smiled slightly as he looked at the female. He had to admit he was a bit flattered by the gesture especially since the only people that had ever waited for him before had been his sisters. 

"So, what do you want to do?" King asked as he looked at the female. 

"Well, I was thinking that we could head up there," Fia said as she pointed to the top of the stadium. "From what I saw before we left it circles around the entire stadium and the only way to get up there is from the outside. So we can watch the rest of the matches and we most likely won't be mistaken for students that haven't fought yet," Fia said as she looked at the male. King nodded hearing this and began to follow Fia to a small set of stairs. 

When the two reached the top they saw that path like Fia had said led around the entirety of the arena, with some rails to keep anyone who happened to be on top safe. King smiled as he looked at the area and walked over to the railing. It seemed like the next match had just started so to try and get a good a look as possible King began leaning over the railing. 

Fia smiled seeing that King appeared to be enjoying himself and walked up beside him. Fia was about to start watching the match like King however ended up finding what she thought was a far more interesting view. Fia began to look the male over eventually stopping and beginning to stare at his rear. She continued to do this for several minutes before she eventually, and unintentionally spoke her mind. "I'd totally tap that," Fia said as she continued staring at King. When she said this King turned to look at her surprised his face slowly turning red as he did. 

Fia realizing her mistake looked at him a bit flustered. She looked like she was about to speak but before she could King managed to speak what he thought about what she had said. "Th-that was quite the compliment," King said as he looked at the female. 

"S-sorry," Fia said as he ears dropped down showing that she did feel at least a bit sorry for what she had said. King still flustered and red faced turned to look down at the arena beneath them. 

"It's fine," King said as he looked down, as much as he wanted to say this to Fia directly he didn't think he'd have the courage to do so. "No girl's ever flirted with me before, so it feels kind of nice. Y-you know . . . to feel . . . attractive," King said clearly embarrassed with what he was saying as he continued looking down. Fia smiled hearing this and walked to his side and began to watch the fight with him. 

The two continued watching the fights until nearly all had finished. When there were only around three left Fia turned to look at the male beside her. "We should probably go, don't want to be late after all," Fia said as she looked at the male in front of her. King nodded hearing this and began to follow her as she walked away. It took them a few minutes to reach the area from yesterday and like the day before it was extremely crowded. 

The two waited for several minutes and after almost an hour had passed Ozpin walked onto the stage and cleared his throat. "I would like to thank all of you for participating in this year's entrance exams. If you are standing in this room then it means you have passed and are now full fledged members of Beacon Academy," Ozpin said as he looked at the crowd causing several of the students to begin clapping. 

Ozpin waited patiently for the room to settle down and when it did he looked up at the crowd and smiled. "When your name is called please come onto the stage to meet not only your new partner but your teammates and team leader as well," Ozpin said as he looked at the figures in front of him. When he did he looked down at the piece of paper he was holding and began to call out several names.
