Chapter 9
Blaza rushed back to his room and jumped in bed.
He landed on his arm, but ignored the pain and tried to sleep. If he could have meaningful dreams, then maybe he could stop the creature before anyone else got hurt.
(—— Bruh POV ——)
Bruh laid with his back facing Tbh. He remembered everything. He knew what Tb was.
But he also remembered what he'd heard. And, by the sound of it, one of the creatures had protected him. Based on the conversation he'd heard beforehand, he assumed it was the one disguised as Tb.
Tb was also definitely hurt. Sure, he was a shapeshifting alien, but the injury looked pretty ligit, and the other impostor wouldn't hurt someone they thought to be on their good side. Right? Maybe?
He hadn't told anyone about Tb because, well, he was confused. After hearing all he heard, he'd begun to wonder if these aliens could be good people.
He knew the thoughts were ridiculous, but...
He didn't want to rat Tb out. He seemed so... ligit. Like he was actually Tb. Even though Bruh knew it wasn't the case, if he told on Tb, he felt like he'd be hurting the real one.
He turned over a bit to glance at Tb.
He was facing Bruh, looking like he wanted to ask him something.
He ignored the expression and turned back over. Just because he wasn't going to snitch didn't mean he couldn't be salty.
"Why?" He heard Tbh whisper behind him. Bruh shifted. "I don't know. You're lucky I'm just confused right now, or you'd be in space." Bruh replied sternly.
He knew it probably wasn't that good of an answer, but honestly, it was all he could think of.
(It's totally because Bruh is bad at comebacks or something and not because the author blanked there :p)
"Well... I- Thanks. I really thought that..." Tb trailed off. Bruh knew what he meant. He shared similar fears.
"Just know this doesn't make us friends. Give me one reason to think you're killing people and I'll tell everyone."
He retorted.
"I was expecting nothing more."
He could hear Tb turn over on the other bed.
They hadn't been allowed to leave medbay yet, even though they were both doing alright. everyone just wanted them to get some rest. Honestly, Bruh could use some. There were more then a few things he needed to sleep on.
(—— Oof POV ——)
Oof sat down outside of medbay, confused on the conversation he'd just overheard.
Why would there be tension between Tbh and Bruh? Wouldn't they trust each other more if they were both attacked?
Oof took a deep breath and stood up to check on them. It's what he'd come to do anyway, so there was no reason not to.
"Hey! You guys alright?" Oof said, walking in.
"Yeah." Bruh said, facing away from Tbh.
"How about you Tb?" Oof continued.
"I-I'm ok. Thanks for asking." Tb stammered.
"Okay then. Imma go, erm, finish my tasks." Oof said awkwardly.
He left the room facepalming the second he was out.
That was the dumbest excuse he'd ever made. He didn't even have any tasks yet!
He decided to head back to his room. He wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do, and for now he decided to think about some stuff for awhile.
Everything had been so confusing since all this started...
——————————
I'm angry at myself. I literally can't think of another word to put. Honestly, maybe I should have actually gotten some sleep instead of staying up until 1am and then writing first thing in the morning, but it's FINEEE
I'm finally going to to a flashback episode, because yes
