"And the winners are Angelica Li and Yanli Yin" the MC announced as the crowd broke into an applause, clapping and cheering as the two ladies stepped out to receive their prices. They gave there speeches and left the stage.

As they went to there dressing room, Angel talked on animatedly to Snowfall, she was so happy and joyous. "Oh Snow this is a dream come true, when I first got here and saw the number of people participating I was almost sure that we were going to lose, when we walked unto the stage I thought I was going to pee with nervousness but then Mr Smith called me beautiful and I felt all my confidence come back to me, did you see the way he looked at me, I think he liked my dancing very much" Angel said as she blushed deeply.

Snowfall who had been listening quietly suddenly frowned and asked "I hope you haven't started having feelings for that producer, cuz remember that I'm reserving you for Maxwell".

At the mention of Snowfall's cousin, Angel scowled darkly and said "if you think that there's ever going to be a thing between me and that bucket-headed cousin of yours, then you'd better shove that thought down your ...."

"Down my what" Snowfall asked excitedly "come on say it, say the bad word".

Angel hesitated and the smiled confidently and said "down the drain".

"Urgh A you're such a spoilsports" Snowfall grumbled as she turned and tapped on her cell phone.

"Hey aren't you going to change" Angel asked.

"Nope" Snowfall replied.

"Why not" Angel complained.

"I wanna take pictures with it at Uncle's store" Snowfall said.

"Why can't you take pics here" Angel asked.

"Because this place doesn't have the ancient background that I need, I want to take the pictures along side with those old antique items, just think of what my Instagram followers would say when they see me" Snowfall explained.

"That you're a crazy person who would walk around Beijing City in five layers of ancient clothing just to take pictures" Angel commented dryly.

Snowfall frowned and replied "you know my followers aren't ungrateful critics like you".

Angel simply rolled her eyes before warning her "well you'd better remove your jewelry, we don't need you inviting thieves and robbers with all those Jewelry on you".

"Yeah, yeah, whatever" Snowfall muttered as she removed the numerous hairpins, Bangles and bracelets and placed them into her purse.

Glancing at her phone she exclaimed "Angel look, it's so late I wanted us to be at Uncle's please by 10:30pm, look it's already 10:25pm. We'd better hurry. I'll send our stuff back to our room".

"Ok but don't send the jewelry along I don't think I can trust anyone with this much amount of gold" Angel agreed.

"Alright we'll take the jewelry with us, now come on let's go already".

Coming out, they happened to come across the producer Michael Smith. "Ah there's the lady I was looking for, Miss Li I'm I correct"

"Yes Mr Smith, how may I help you" Angel asked smiling.

"About your costumes you said you designed them yourself"

"Yes sir, I designed these ones and I have many other designs"

"Well that's nice, I was planning a new TV show in traditional settings, it's supposed to the set in the qin dynasty. I was wondering if you'd be interested in working with me"

"Why sir that would be an honor" Angel beamed brightly.

"Very good, well here's my business card, I'll contact you in a few months to introduce you to the team and tell you when to start work" Michael said handing her the card while he winked at her and walked away.

"Snowfall, not only did I just win a one million Yuan (¥), there's a big possibility that I might sign a contract with a famous producer. I think I'm dreaming, pinch me"

"With pleasure" Snowfall said reaching out but Angel slapped her hands away saying "back off, with those hands of yours I'll have a bruise for a week"

"Whatever can we go now, I'm tired of you yammering about Mr Smith"  Snowfall said as she and Angel began walking again.

"Hey what's your problem with him" Angel asked surprised at Snowfall's resentment.

"I don't have a problem apart from the fact that you two seem to flirting each time you see each other" Snowfall stated.

"No we weren't and besides even if we were what's wrong with him, he's one of the youngest producers and he's handsome and still has hair on he's head. Not to mention he's also part American. Or do you want me to remain single for the rest of my life" Angel asked.

"Of course not, I want you to get married and live a happy life that's why I'm reserving you for Max" Snowfall said.

"You and your pig-headed cousin again, I'm never gonna marry him even if he was the last man on Earth" Angel sneered her face turning sour.

"Why not?" Snowfall asked as she began to envision there future "you guys would look so cute together, just imagine you guys getting married, you guys will have a traditional wedding with a wedding dress you designed. Then you'll give birth to twins, two fat chubby boys"

"Why boys" Angel asked.

"Shut up I'm visualizing, yes you'll have two chubby boys and there names will be yin and yang just like my dad and Uncle, one will have brown hair and the other will have black hair"

"Wait why can't one have blond hair then the other has bla... Wait why are we even talking about me having children with your cousin" Angel exclaimed.

"I thought you wanted to" Snowfall said innocently.

"I.... Let's just go already" Angel said. By now they were outside so they flagged down a taxi.

They arrived at Uncle Yin's house not long after the Snowfall went to ring the doorbell. In a few seconds a woman opened the door. She scowled when she saw who was at it.

"Oh it's the gold princess and her American friend" she sneered.

"A pleasure to see you too Elizabeth" Snowfall replied icily as she and Angel made there way in and sat down on the couch.

The relationship between Elizabeth and Snowfall's family had always been cold ever since Wang Yin gave up the family inheritance to he's younger brother. He said he has never had interesting for that kind of life and he just wanted to live a normal life with he's wife and kids but he's dear wife didn't take the news so well.

"Where's Uncle Yin"

"At work" Elizabeth replied shortly

"What's he doing there"

"Nothing that concerns you"

"And Maxwell?"

"He just left to pick him up"

"Alright then we'll be going..." Snowfall was interrupted by a little voice.

"Cousin Snowfall, is that you" a girl of about 12 years old asked as she came downstairs.

"Oh my little Annalise, come over here" Snowfall said joyfully as she opened her hand to let the girl hug her.

Annalise was the third child of Uncle Yin. Annalise's birth circumstances where... special. Twelve years ago, Elizabeth found out that she had been with child for the third time which was against the Chinese constipation. After finding out that she wouldn't be able to terminate the child without ending her own life, they decided to register Annalise as an adopted child, after several process of destroying evidence, bribing officials and filling different documents, they were finally able to keep there last child without any problem.

"Oh my dear it's been so long, why are you still up" Snowfall asked Annalise who sat on her laps.

"Mom let me stay passed my bed time today to watch the fireworks display by midnight, hey Angel" Annalise greeted.

"Hey darling, how are you doing"  Angel replied smiling.

"I'm great, I love your costume" Annalise commented.

"Thank you" Angel replied.

"Hey why didn't you compliment my costume, why only hers" Snowfall as pouting her lips.

"Of course your costume is beautiful cousin, besides it's Angel that made it so it's no big deal if I compliment her"

"How are you sure I'm not the one who made it"

"How can you make it, you have no skills in sewing and your scared of needles, it's impossible for you to make" Annalise exclaimed as everyone in the room began to laugh while Snowfall scowled.

"Look at you you're favouring Angel over me and you even embarrassed me in front of everyone, I really should stop pampering you" Snowfall said flicking her head with her fingers.

"Ow! But shouldn't I favor Angel over you, after you told me that she's going to become my sister in-law very soon" Annalise exclaimed as she rubbed her forehead.

"Snowfall you better stop filling your Anna's head up with rubbish, it's not good for her studies" Angel said at the mention to Maxwell... Again.

"Whatever by the way Anna, how was school this year" Snowfall asked.

"Same as always, although this year I joined the computer club, it's really nice I've already begun to learn how to code. Soon I'm gonna make my own video game so that we can play together" Anna explain enthusiastically.

"That's sweet darling but did you make any new friends" Snowfall asked again.

"Not really but there this girl I talk to often, her name is Mary. she's in computer club although we aren't in the same homeroom. She's also in my gym class and she runs quite fast, we are always competing not to mention she always defends me when Mingzhu and her group of meanies make fun of my glasses" Annalise said.

"What glasses?" Angel asked.

"Oh I got a pair of reading glasses recently, although I didn't like wearing it because everyone made fun of me but then Mary told me that I look great with it and she helped me pick out a new frame, it's midnight blue and matches my hair dye and now everyone else thinks it's cool" Annalise explain happily.

"And you still don't consider Mary as you friend" Snowfall said raising her eyebrows and smiling slightly.

"Well I guess I can say she is, she's been so good to me. She the one person who's treated me this good in school and I don't have trouble sharing things with her. I probably should consider her as a friend" Annalise said more to herself than others.

"It's nice to see that you finally have someone to call a friend, it won't be nice to spend the rest of your school days alone, it's good that you're socializing more often" Snowfall said as she smiled to the adorable girl sitting on her laps.

"Alright Anna you've had your fun, you can go upstairs now besides you cousin was just leaving, right Snowfall" Elizabeth said as she stared pointedly at Snowfall while the latter stuck her tongue out at her.

"It's alright Anna, we'll see again soon" Snowfall assured her.

"Pinky promise" Annalise said holding out her pinky.

"Pinky promise" Snowfall said crossing her pinky with Annalise's and meeting their thumbs together "until we meet again, now goodnight before your mom kills we with her laser eyes" Snowfall said to Anna as the girl giggled and ran upstairs.

No sooner had Snowfall and Angel stepped out of the house did her aunt slam the door at there backs.

"Well someone certainly has a problem" Angel commented.

"You think, it's almost hard to believe that she use to be friendly" Snowfall said.

"Yeah although I'm happy to see that Anna has a friend now, I can't believe why people will treat such an amazing girl so badly" Angel said.

"Haters Angel, besides as she grows she'll meet people who'll value her" Snowfall said. "Uncle's store isn't too far from here, if we walk fast enough we'll be there in 30 minutes"

"Sure why not, after all it would be nice to enjoy the scenery, everywhere is so festive" Angel agreed.

When they arrived at the store they met Uncle Yin outside about locking up while Maxwell leaned on he's car.

"Uncle! Max! Over here!!" Snowfall called out as she lifted her skirts and ran towards them. She collided with Uncle Yin making him stumble over.

"Snowfall my girl look at you, you're getting prettier everyday" Uncle Yin exclaimed. Then Maxwell draw her into a hug and spun her around

"Hey babygirl!" Maxwell cheered as he twirled her in the air and she giggled. Setting her gently on the ground he turned around to see the scowling Angel.

"Ice queen, I see that you've gotten even frostier, want a hug" Maxwell said smirking down at the pretty lady scowling up at him.

"Quite the small talk Max, I'm not interested" Angel replied frostily.

"Hmm how would you be, no matter how small my words are they'll still be taller than you" Max retorted.

Angel flushed and pointed a finger at he's nose as she was about to retort when Uncle Yin quickly interrupted. "Hey enough you two I'm trying to have a peaceful reunion with my beloved niece here, and Max behave". Angel glared at Max before giving him her back.

Snowfall and her Uncle chatted for a while before she stated her business.

"No" Uncle Yin stated firmly.

"Please uncle, I'm begging you, I need to see it tonight or I'll never be happy again. You really don't want my birthday to be a disaster now please Uncle Yin" Snowfall whined and begged.

"Then why didn't you come at Normal visiting hours" Uncle Yin asked.

"You're not her at normal visiting hours" Snowfall pointed out.

"I own the place" he said matter of fact.

"But as your niece doesn't that give me part ownership to it" Snowfall reasoned innocently.

"Girl even your cousins don't have any rights to this place" Uncle Yin stated.

"Uncle please I'm begging you, look at me I came all dress up. Do you seriously want your beautiful looking niece to go back home looking devastated after dressing up so gorgeously just to come see your wonderful antique store. Look Angel is dressed too. Please Uncle just let me in, I promise not to break anything" Snowfall tried to reason with him.

"You wouldn't even be touching anything talk less about breaking it" Uncle Yin said.

"Alright I won't touch anything, now can I go in" She said trying her luck again.

"Nope" he refused once more.

"Oh come on Uncle, even if you don't trust me you have to trust Angel, she responsible and level-headed even my parents use her as my baby sitter, she won't let me touch anything or Break anything, she won't leave the doors unlocked and most of all she won't lose your keys. Please Uncle reconsider, for you one and only beloved niece. For my love for history, and mostly as new year present for me" Snowfall begged again.

Uncle Yin furrowed he's eyebrows thinking then turned to Angel "you promise to watch over her?"

"I'll try my best sir" Angel promised.

He signed then removed the bunch of keys from he's pocket and handed then to Angel "make sure you two lock-up and try not to touch anything. I took out my office keys so that you two don't go in there, And Snowfall for the love of God please don't try to pick it".

"We promise" both girls said simultaneously.

"Alright then goodnight" Uncle Yin said as he and Maxwell entered the car. Maxwell started the ignition and waved at both girls saying "goodnight ice queen, you too baby girl" before speeding off.

"It seems my cousins pay more attention to you than me, I'm getting jealous" Snowfall said crossing her arms.

"Don't be, it's not a wanted attention" Angel said as she unlocked the store. "Come on let's go in".

Hello my dearest Phoenix readers. Sorry for not updating for so long. I've been having a little writing challenges, I don't think I can call it writer's block, but I'll be more constant in updating now.  Enjoy the chapter.
