Beep, beep, beep

"Ugh!! Would someone turn off that stinking alarm clock" a voice whined from beneath the rumble covers of the huge king-sized bed.

As the beeping continued, a white dainty hand emerged from within the covers and slapped recklessly in an attempt to turn off the alarm clock.

After numerous failed attempts she finally sat up and pushed away the cover. A beautiful porcelain white figure appear clad in pink ice cream pyjamas, with a mop of dark inky jet black hair cover her face. She pushed away the hair from her face as a pale beautiful damsel was born. She had a straight pointed nose, soft pink rose-petal shaped lips, and when she opened her eyes it revealed pitch black dark orbs that shined in the sun. She had dark long eye lashes that got longer towards the edge.

Finally turning off the alarm, she leaned her back against the headboard of the bed and stared at her bedroom. It was a absolute chicklit bedroom with a purple and white theme colour. It had posters of famous celebrities and popular animes above her bed wall. On her bedside table there was a picture of she, her mom and dad on her one year old birthday. There was a reading table by the left side of her bed with shelves above it filled with books that struggled to stay on it.
She had a vanity by the right side of the room. There were bean bags on the floor face the large screen TV that was on the middle wall, beside it was a walk-in closet. There was a glass ball cushion chair hanging from the ceiling. By the right side of the door there was a double glass door which led to the balcony where there were two chairs and a table.

Rubbing her eyes, she yawned loudly then stretched pouting childishly for being woken up. "Who turned on that stupid alarm clock anyway,it rang like five times already and it's a Sunday and I'm not even going to college anymore. Besides it's not like I have anything important to d........ Something important oh my God how could I forget, it's not only my birthday it's the beginning of my week long getaway". She said to herself finally realizing why she was supposed to be awake.

"I'm gonna be late, I'm gonna be late, I'm gonna be late" she muttered as she jumped out of her bed and ran to the adjoining bathroom by the left. She came out five minutes later after taking a quick shower and brushing her teeth. She stepped into her closet and came out a few minutes later wearing a pale blue jeans, a dark blue frozen sweater that said 'let it go', a sapphire coloured scarf, a pair of fashionable black boots with fur at the end of it and a pair of earmuffs.

She grabbed her traveling bag from the floor of her bed and ran out of room, not before turning around and blowing it a goodbye kiss for the week that she'd be gone. She ran out of the hallway appearing at the Grand two way staircases. Threw down her bag without even looking while she slid down the bannister only to meet an angry looking mom at the end.

Smiling nervously, dimpling cutely at one cheek, she greeted "good morning Mom".

"Good morning too you too, now explain why you tried to kill Mr Clarke with your traveling bag just now" her Mom, Liliana asked holding up her bag.

"Um...no time to explain, see ya" she said snatching her bag from her mother's arm before she could react and racing off to the dining table, as she grabbed some waffles and flooded them with syrup before quickly munching it all.

Not waiting for any distractions she rushed to the front door only to meet her dad looking down sternly at her. "Where do you think your going young lady".

She swallowed before trying to answer but was interrupted by a joyous voice from her dad.

"Without letting me wish you happy birthday, happy birthday my little snowflake, come give your old man a hug".

"Aww dad" she cried out happily running into he's arms and being encased in a huge bear hug.

"Oh Hardy, you told her happy birthday without me, that's so unfair" said Liliana pouting childishly while holding a chocolate cake with strawberry toppings.

"Sorry honey but she was making a run for it" said Hardy apologetically but he's smile said otherwise.

"Hmph" she huffed angrily "anyway come here Ah li, happy birthday my dearest, darling favorite child" said Liliana.

"Mom I'm your only child" she said with a laugh as she gave her mom a hug with one arm careful not to hit the cake.

Withdrawing from the hug, she said "Thanks Mom and Dad, I almost forget that today was my birthday".

"Probably because your mom and I didn't come to wake you up with a cake and a 'happy birthday' while parading around your room this morning" said Hardy coming to stand by he's wife.

"Yeah probably, by the way why didn't you guys come parading around my room this morning" Snowfall asked.

"Well because your mother was crying again about you leaving us for the week, so being the handsome and good husband that I am I went to console her then we forgot about the cake and it got burnt so we couldn't come to your room before the next cake was ready, luckily for us your so lazy to get out of bed so we had enough time to get the cake ready" explained Hardy with a smug smile.

"Why didn't you make the cake last night like you always do" asked Snowfall confused.

"Oh we tried but you mother got teary again on the first one so it burnt and we both fell asleep on the second one so it also burnt so we decided to go and sleep so that we don't even up burning the house" Hardy explained again.

"Mom you really miss me that much" said Snowfall smiling sadly.

"Of course I do, your my Snowfall after all" said Liliana looking away.

"Mom it's just a week I won't be gone forever" explained Snowfall.

"How would I know, you might go out that door and decide that you don't want this rich life anymore and never come back" said Liliana pouting once again as tears misted in her eyes.

"Oh momma" Snowfall cried out will pulling her mother into a hug "you know I'd never do that, even though I initially had resentment with Dad inheriting the company, I would never run away again, after all it's my responsibility and I'm not a reckless child anymore. Besides how can I abandon the world's most amazing mom"

"(Coughs) sorry something in my throat" says Hardy intentionally interrupting them.

Snowfall grins as she continues" and world's most amazing dad" while Hardy smiled in satisfaction. "You see Mom I'm always gonna be your little Snowflake, and your baby Yanli" she completed with a smile.

"Oh my baby ah li" cried Liliana pulling Snowfall into a tight hug.

"Group hug!" Hardy said loudly as he encased them both in a huge bear hug.

When they all stopped hugging, Liliana wiped her tears and said "alright enough mushy feelings, let's go sing our baby a birthday song while she cuts her cake".

So they sang her the birthday song while she blew out the candles. "What did you wish for" Liliana asked excitedly.

"It's a secret" said Snowfall mysterious.

"It's probably to be able to run away without me being able to find you" Liliana muttered with a frown.

"Moooom, I thought we were done with this" whined Snowfall.

"Alright, alright I'm just kidding, now open wide" said Liliana as she fed Snowfall some cake, the her father fed her next afterwards she fed both her parents. Then she packed two pieces of cake for she and her best friend, Angel who she was going on her weeklong getaway with.

"I better get going before Angel decides to come here, I've already seen six of her missed call..." Snowfall was saying before she was interrupted by Mr Clarke, their Butler.

"Mr and Mrs Wang, miss Li is here to see miss Wang" he announced.

"Speak of the devil" muttered Snowfall.

"So I'm the devil now snow" said a voice as a pretty girl arrived from the hallway.

"Whaaat, no of course your not a Devil, remember your Angel" said Snowfall laughing nervously.

Angel rolled her eyes and turned to greet Mr and Mrs Wang "Good morning Uncle and auntie"

"Angel darling good morning" said Liliana beaming.

"How have you been my dear child" Asked Hardy with a smile.

"I've been great thanks for asking" said Angel smiling.

Angel was an orphan since the age of ten, although she had been adopted by her childless Uncle and Aunt, the Wang and become a second family to her. She was part American, Even though she looked Chinese she had bewitching forest green eyes which she usually hide behind brown contact lenses and she had golden brown hair which she usually dyed black. She was curvier than the average Chinese. Snowfall often told her to leave the natural color of her hair and eyes but she said it made her stick out like a sour tomb and that she wanted to look Chinese.

Currently her hair was style in straight long Bob just at shoulder's length. She was wearing a peach colour midi dress with a huge maroon woolen sweater over it, with some black leggings and maroon ankle boots and a woolen cap.

She turned to Snowfall and scowled. "What took you so long, I've been waiting since forever, do you want us to miss our train" she asked.

"Um....I have cake" Snowfall said smiling and showing her the little lunch box while wiggling her eyebrows at her.

Angel tried to keep the scowl on her face but a smile was twitching at her lips. "Come on just smile, I know you want to" said Snowfall giggling.

"Your sick" stated angel smiling anyways "let's go already we don't wanna miss our train unless you're planning on staying at home" said Angel walking towards the door.

"Alright bye Mom bye dad, I'll miss you too, and mom I'll be back before you know it" she kissing them both on the cheek and giving them one last hug before running off to catch up with Angel. Before she could reach the door Liliana called out "Snow wait, you forgot to carry a purse, remember the lady's code, always carry a purse". She handed her a black purse before letting her run off. But then she pursed and came back to the door and said "I'm sorry for nearly killing you with my traveling bag Mr Clarke".

The old butler clearly shocked that she still remember the incidence and was apologising for such a small mishap since he had already even forgotten it just replied "uhm it's ok miss Wang nothing to apologise for".

As she and Angel walked down the gravel path towards the gate, Liliana kept calling out instructions like, "be careful, always have your phone with you, don't take things from strangers, remember to go to bed early, look both ways before crossing the road, always look at the traffic lights before cro....."

"It's ok Lily, I'm sure they learnt traffic rules in kindergarten" said Hardy laughingly.

"Don't sass me I'm just worried about my little girl" said Liliana.

"And your not worried about Angel" he questioned.

"Of course I'm worried about Angel you idiot, it's just that I keep having this feeling that something's going to have to Snowfall" she said worriedly.

"Something like what" asked Hardy.

"Like... like.... like she's not coming back to us" said Liliana looking up at her husband, her eyes full of fear.

"Don't be paranoid Lily, Snowfall isn't going anywhere, besides she has Angel with her she'll stop her from doing anything stupid, and if you're scared that she'll run away from us like she did when she was ten then remember that she was just a kid and she made a promise that she'll never run away again and you know Snowfall doesn't break her promises, and even if she does there's no where in this world that she can possibly run that I can't find her, and she'll probably come running back after a week without your wonderful waffles" explained Hardy.

"You were teasing me in that last part weren't you" she said looking at him pointedly.

"Maybe I was, besides you can't deny that your waffles are the best" he said smiling down at her.

"Hmm you make a good point there, but now what I'm I suppose to do in this huge empty house devoid of people" she wondered.

"Hey I'm still here, we could watch a movie together or go to the beach or make more children for you to worry about" he said wiggling he's eyebrows suggestively while Liliana glared at him.

"Ok now your just being mean, I'm going back to bed" she said as she walked upstairs.

"Oh C'mon honey, alright I'll join you upstairs then we can 'sleep'  together" said Hardy while Liliana gave him the middle finger without looking back.

As he began walking to the stairs he took a glance back at the door which Snowfall had just walked out off, even though he had disagreed with Liliana he still had nagging feeling that she was right.

Walking down the street with Snowfall, Angel commented "those two really can't live without you".

"They'll learn, after all I'm not gonna be with them forever, I'm gonna get married someday move out and live with my husband" said Snowfall dreamily.

"With those two, yeah right your never getting married" said Angel dryly.

"Yeah they'll probably hired men to go intimidate the first that tries to make a move, or chase the first man that comes to ask for my hand with there deadly glares" Snowfall joked.

"Who knows they might actually give you your freedom so that you can spend the night out with friends go on dates and get a boyfriend and finally marry someday" Angel suggested. Both girls stopped and looked at each other and bursted out laughing.

When they were done laughing there hearts out, Angel said "c'mon were gonna be really late if we don't flag down a taxi".

"Alright, onwards then to the adventure of a lifetime" Snowfall exclaimed dramatically.

Angel shakes her head saying "you make it sound like we're on some adventure to find a lost treasure or traveling through time".

"You never know it might happen" says Snowfall mystically.

"You're sick, I'm out" she says as she punches her arm and walks ahead.

"Ouch!!....hey wait up" she calls out running up to her.

Finally done with the first chapter of the rewrite, I decided to add more descriptions and more conversations and made more research. I even made some research while writing, I hope you enjoy it.
