After waking up crying and falling back asleep three times, Lloyd finally woke up all the way, not remembering the three times he'd woken up in tears. All the Ninja after that sat in Lloyd's blanket fort and read comics, until dark. All the Ninja began to head to bed, all of them but Lloyd.

Garmadon walked past the blanket fort, which was still up, and he just barely noticed a bowl of grapes being dragged into the fort "Shouldn't you be in bed?" He chuckled as he poked his head into the fort and saw Lloyd reading

"I should be a lot of things, but I live to disappoint." Lloyd joked as he shoved a grape in his mouth, and went back to his book

"What're you reading son?"

"Oh uh, Jack the Rabbit... Uncle Wu read it to me the first day I lived on the Bounty..."

"Oh really?" Garmadon sat next to Lloyd and looked at the book, the faded illistraions of a yellow rabbit and a purple snake filled the pages

"Yeah, he read it to me to teach me about how gullible I was." He blinked a few times. "I guess I'm still pretty gullible..."

"Lloyd, you're not gullible. You're... You were trusting."

"No I'm gullible. I've been tricked, so many times." Lloyd closed the book "And I've fallen for the tricks. Every. Single. Time."

"Lloyd. Look at me." Garmadon frowned "You're a good boy, no, you're a great man. You've grown up, so fast. Too fast. I didn't get to see any of it."

"Lloyd is NOT going anywhere alone!" Garmadon yelled as the Bounty hovered above Ninjago City

"Brother calm down, the other Ninja are going with him." Wu tried to get Garmadon to calm down

"No! He's not going."

"Daaaaad." Lloyd complained "All the Oni have disappeared, no one has seen one in weeks."

"Yeah, plus all of us were asked to attend a ceremony of thanks for saving Ninjago." Jay said

"But we don't know if the Oni are actually gone! They could be hiding and waiting until we let our guard down so they can-" Garmadon began to rant

"Dad! Calm down. We'll be back in an hour." Lloyd said "Just, read a book or something until we get back."

"If you get kidnapped you're grounded, do you understand me young man?"

"Yeah Dad. I understand." Lloyd laughed as the Bounty landed

Garmadon, and Wu watched the ceremony on the TV. Lloyd and the other Ninja stood on a stage as the police chief thanked them for their service to Ninjago. But then he started talking about a vote the citizens of Niniago had taken a day or two before. A vote on who they believed should be emperor, now that they had the time to vote. "It was a unanimous vote. Everyone agreed on who should be emperor now." The chief said "We all think, you should be emperor, Green Ninja."

Lloyd blinked a few times then exclaimed "Wait, WHAT!?"

The Ninja stepped onto the Bounty. "Think of it this way Lloyd, we'll be there with you, also, Ninjago needs someone." Nya said to the green teen

"Oh come on Nya, up until a few months ago, we didn't even know, at least I didn't, we had an emperor! I thought Cyrus Borg was in charge of Ninjago!" Kai exclaimed

Garmadon laughed as the group fought. "You saw it didn't you?" Lloyd asked "Please tell me we all just imagined that happened."

"No, it was on the news, as was you yelling 'Wait, What?'." Wu chuckled as he walked over to the group. "

"I just..." Lloyd began "I don't get why they want me to be emperor." He looked to his uncle "I mean, I was a terrible kid. I freed the serpentine."

"We cannot change the past."

"We can only look towards the future. I know."

"So, are you going to accept?" Garmadon asked "You certainly deserve the honor."

"I... I don't know.... Being the Green Ninja is hard enough some times, but being emperor at the same time."

"You'd succeed."

"Fine. Okay, I'll... I'll try."
