In a luxury and expensive office in a huge building sat the founder of ARD and the big boss himself in the form Arnav Singh Raizada aka ASR.

The name that struck fear in every businessman and woman and his aura alone sends shivers down the spine of everyone.

He feared nothing and doesn't tolerate nonsense from anyone.

He always thought he was invincible but for the past eight months, things in his life hasn't been going as he wanted since a hazel-eyed woman fell into his arms.

He has always been proud of the fact that he was able to regulate and control everything in his life but that has been falling apart since he met her.

For the first time in his life, someone defied him and it came in a form of Khushi Kumari Gupta.

He punished her by tarnishing her image when he had the video of her gate crashing his fashion show and made sure it was misinterpreted as another woman trying to get with him.

He believed he had gotten rid of her but she ended up crashing into her scooter and as if that wasn't enough, she ended up at his office to work and kept on challenging him and always ended up winning.

Deep down he was mesmerized by her courage and her challenging nature made him more attracted to her.

As time went on he felt sorry for what he did to her and started treating her better but there come his sister and grandmother nagging him to get married and he turned to Lavanya and hired her to be his fictitious girlfriend.

He hated how Lavanya maltreated Khushi and even though he never defended Khushi in front of her, he made sure to drive fear in Lavanya not to bother her.

It was out of his envious resentment that he proposed to Lavanya after finding out she was engaged and that was when he realised he was in love with her.

But her getting engaged hurt his ego and he started hurting her again but soon realised he was wrong and stopped and that also lead to him breaking up with Lavanya because he no longer wanted to deceive himself.

Then came the alliance between his young cousin and elder sister of Khushi and they all started getting along again and he loved it.

And the cherry on top was finding out Khushi's engagement broke and he was overjoyed hearing it but never asked why since it was a sensitive topic to Khushi so he never pushed.

All was going well until three weeks to Akash and Payal's wedding, all of a sudden, Khushi has avoided him like a plague and not only him but his family as well especially his Di who argued about how Khushi was no longer engaging like she was before.

She always show a look of disgust in her eyes directed at Anjali when no one was looking but Arnav saw it all and it baffled him.

Even though she was closer to Aman, their closeness has increased tremendously and it scared him because he saw how freely she smiled at Aman but it turned into a scowl immediately he came into the scene.

This sent him on a tirade of confusion because they have been getting along really well and he was panicking thinking Khushi was in love with Aman because Aman has also become more protective of Khushi than he was before and is always around her and more frustrating was Aman's mother's likeness for Khushi.

He wanted so much to send Aman far away for eyeing his woman but that stopped when a week before Akash and Payal's wedding, Khushi tied a Rakhi around Aman's wrist declaring him her brother.

That night, he fell asleep smiling like a fool and decided to finally muster up the courage to ask for forgiveness from Khushi and propose to her but she was always busy which pissed him off but he understood since it was the wedding of her sister.

He decided to speak to her after the wedding but what happened after the wedding shook him to his core.

Flashback.

The wedding was finally over and Nani asked the Guptas to stay at RM since it was late and Arnav was jumping for joy when Buaji accepted.

He stood upstairs watching Khushi sitting with Aman and his mother who has also been invited to stay and they were laughing freely at something Khushi was saying.

Arnav saw the Gupta women  looking displeased with their closeness but Shashi had a huge smile on his face seeing Khushi laughing but it turned into a scowl when his eyes met Shyam and Arnav was taken aback especially when the same happened to the Gupta women that is buaji and Garima.

"What the hell is going on?...... What did he do to get such a hateful look from them? " Arnav thought looking at them but the voice of Aman yelling broke his reverie.

He turned to find Aman standing with his hand fisted and fuming in anger and Khushi glaring at Anjali and Suhani, the mother of Aman having a disappointed look on her face directed at Anjali who looked like she was on the verge of crying.

Nani looking disappointed at Anjali and Mami on the other hand was glaring at Aman.

"You are sick to suggest something like that to my mother when you saw her tying a rakhi on my wrist not long ago." Aman scolded a crying Anjali.

"Hello hi bye bye..... She was just suggesting you marry Khushi not murder her. " Mami retorted while consoling Anjali.

"Devyaniji...... I can't believe these are the people you have in your house...... Your granddaughter just made the sickest statement about joining a brother and sister and your daughter in law sees no wrong with that and yet you are silent." Suhani exclaimed in disappointment and Nani looked remorseful and Suhani turned to Mami with disgust. "Aman is like a brother to Khushi and family is not about blood because even blood will betray you when outsiders will stand up for you just like her own family are standing there listening to this dumb suggestion but what do I expect from a family who slaves the adopted daughter while their blood stays home doing nothing. " Suhani taunted looking at the Gupta women who looked away pretending to be ashamed when deep down they were fuming and cursing Khushi which everyone knew.

"I know you mean well for me Anjaliji. " Khushi spoke up and from the tone, in her voice, she was pissed but looked physically calm. "But my marriage is a concern for my father and my father only because I don't trust my so-called aunt and mother who only wanted to get rid of me and give me away to a stranger and a sadistic one just to be free of me who is their only source of income...... No background check was so ever made on that man and they blackmailed me to get engaged to a criminal so from now on, I trust no one to choose the man I want to marry than my babuji....... He is the only one with that right. "

Everyone excluding Suhani and Aman was shocked to hear her.

The Guptas felt trapped being exposed like that.

"Khushi beta..... What do you mean that man was a criminal? " Nani asked wanting to know the whole truth about her cancelled engagement once and for all.

"She found out the man she was supposed to be engaged to was already married. " Aman replied in an angry tone and the Raizadas gasped in shock while the Guptas women looked ashamed at being exposed like this. " She found out the man was already a married man and that's why the engagement broke........If not because of Khushi stopping me from finding out who he is, he would have been a dead man by now. "

"Hello hi bye bye...... You wanted to ruin your own daughter's life by making her a mistress. " Mami exclaimed in shock looking at the Gupta women in disgust.

Akash gave a disappointed look to Payal who looked down ashamed.

"I am disappointed and ashamed at what had just happened and was revealed here today and it has ruined the joy of this union and you Anjali are to be blamed. " Nani accused looking at Anjali who looked shocked and run off to her room crying with Shyam behind her.

"Nani you shouldn't have said that..... She is hormonal because of her pregnancy. " Arnav said defending Anjali as he walked up to them and Khushi threw a disgusted look at him and he was taken aback by it especially seeing Aman and his mother do the same.

This shut him up and he was wondering what he said wrong to cause sure a reaction.

"Pregnancy and not, she is wrong for suggesting Aman marry Khushi when she knows they are like you and her and it's not her place to decide who Khushi marries and I also have other reasons for being mad at her for what she said. " Nani retorted looking at Arnav and she then turned to Suhani. "Suhani dear, I didn't say anything because I was shocked not because I didn't care and please pardon Anjali and Manu for their audacious and insensitive words...... It's late so please let us all rest, tomorrow we will talk about this. " Nani suggested and Suhani nodded.

"Arnav? " Shyam's voice boomed in the hallway and they all turned to find an angry Shyam walking up to Arnav. "You have to fire Aman immediately...... Your sister is inconsolable because of him..... If you love your sister then prove it by firing Aman now. "

Arnav was pissed hearing his words and was about to speak when Aman beat him to it.

"Don't bother because I already quit..... I will hand in my resignation letter tomorrow morning..... I won't put up with being disrespected for correcting an entitled brat like your wife and an equal entitled son in law. "

Aman's words shocked everyone and Nani stood up and glared at Shyam who was taken aback by the look of anger and disgust on the faces of Nani and Arnav.

"You have no right to say what you said and Aman is not going to be fired because of this...... Now leave from here and stop escalating things. "

Shyam's shock turned to anger and he walked away from there.

Aman angrily ordered his mother to leave with him immediately and he turned a deaf ear to Nani's begging for them to stay.

Suhani denied staying and even wanted to take Khushi with them.

Aman not wanting anyone to blackmail her dragged Khushi along out of RM much to the shock of the family and the dismay of Arnav.

Nani then sent all of them to bed. "

Flashback ends.

"Whatever is causing the hate for Di and me will surely be answered by Aman and I won't take no for an answer. " Arnav said in a determined tone as he stood up and walked out of his office into Aman's office.

But unfortunately for him, it was empty and he knew Aman was also avoiding him just like Khushi.

He was about to move out when he saw an envelope on the desk of Aman and written on it was a report of Shyam Manohar Jha.

"Why will Aman have a report on Shyam? " He thought and moved to his desk and sat down.

He then opened the report and started reading.

Shyam Manohar Jha.

Criminal and corrupt lawyer.

Suspended by the law board for the past eleven months for bribery and extortion and currently under investigation.

"What the? " Arnav exclaimed in shock. "Shyam has been suspended from practice so where has he been disappearing to all these months? "

Married to Anjali Singh Raizada sister of ASR but has numerous affairs with multiple women in Lucknow and Delhi.
A gambling addict.

Arnav was shaking reading everything but he was in for a major shock when he continued.

Was engaged to Khushi Kumari Gupta but was called off for an unknown reason and he has been found on multiple occasions stalking and harassing Miss Gupta.

Arnav was hyperventilating reading everything, especially what was written on Anjali's part.
