spewed at you like fire

you know it shouldn't matter
but you can't seem to ignore it

her words
echoing through you

"you have no life"
"you have no brain"
"you have no mind"

"you're pathetic"
"you're an idiot"
"you're a failure"

"no one likes you"
"all your friends like me better than they like you"
"no one cares"

you never learn to ignore
and so all you do is accept

your self-esteem gone
and your world destroyed
