like i've read enough homophobic and sexist and racist things, but the most anti-genderqueer things i've read were in the comment sections of wikipedia for polygender and that wasn't even that bad. but this....

also, it's time for a rant about colombus day!

in fifth grade, we had to read a part of christopher colombus' journal. he gave them trivial things such as beads that held no value to them whatsoever in return for their items of great value. anyone else have a problem with this?

and he didn't even step a foot into american mainland. he discovered the caribbean islands and thought it was india. like really? did he really discover america then?

thanks for teaching me lies, elementary school teachers. in first grade, we were taught that christopher colombus was the one who proved the world was flat and discovered america and that he was a hero and should be celebrated.

in california, they've changed colombus day to indigenous people's day to celebrate the native americans of north america. there was a lot of controversy with that.

also, a couple weeks ago, america reached twenty trillion in debt, us dollars. in australian dollars, that is 25,716,000,000,000 as of now.

the state i live in is over 141 us dollars (181,297,800,000 australian dollars), in debt. yeah, i'm sure the public education here is great.
