INT. BROADCASTING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER

Justine, Ariella, Caleb, and Mae enter. Justine gestures toward a desk on the set.

JUSTINE

Take a seat.

Ariella sits, nervous. Justine counts her in on her fingers and shoots her the cue. The show begins. Ariella stares bug-eyed at the camera. Justine motions for her to say something.

JUSTINE (CONT'D)

(whispering) We're live.

Ariella grins and giggles awkwardly.

ARIELLA

One second.

She jumps out of her seat and hurries over to Justine.

ARIELLA (CONT'D)

I can't do this. What do I say?

JUSTINE

You have to think of something. We're losing them.

The crew members are dozing off. Justine shoos her back to the set.

Ariella slides back into her seat, smiling uncomfortably at the camera.

ARIELLA

Uh...So, today...I'm Ariella Clarke.

MAE

This is torture.

CALEB

I can't watch.

He covers his eyes with his hand then spreads his fingers to peek through them.

Justine looks around the room. She sees the girl behind Camera 1 wearing glasses with eyelashes. She takes them and tosses them to Ariella.

Ariella is intrigued.

ARIELLA

(to the camera girl) May I?

Camera 1 Girl shrugs. Ariella slips on the glasses and smiles at the camera. Now she's in her zone.

ARIELLA (CONT'D)

I'm Ariella Clarke, and welcome to my new show where I review the latest DIYs. Today's DIY comes from someone who knows how to work a lens. I will definitely be trying this at home.(batting her lashes) Bat to you, Henry.

Camera 2 starts rolling on Henry at a second desk. Ariella gets up and joins Justine, Caleb, and Mae.

JUSTINE

You're a natural. Even I stayed awake this time.

CALEB

That could have been my big break.

Mae consoles him with a shoulder pat.

MAE

No. It couldn't have.

Camera 1 Girl walks over and clears her throat. She holds out her hand.

ARIELLA

Oh. Sorry.

She takes off the glasses and hands them back. Then she walks Camera 1 Girl back to the camera.

ARIELLA (CONT'D)

We should talk business.
