INT. CLARKE LIVING ROOM – LATER

Ariella stands with her arms crossed displaying her costume without the head for Ren, Dave, and Karen. Ren jumps off the sofa and hugs her.

REN

It smells like my dreams.

ARIELLA

If there wasn't a height requirement, we could switch places.

DAVE

What's not to like? You'll be a celebrity.

ARIELLA

A celebrity no one can see. I've tried the furry creature look before. It didn't end so well.

KAREN

You made a commitment and you have to stick with it. It's only fair. Or should I say...fur.

She cracks up. There's a knock on the door. Ariella answers it. Caleb stands in the doorway, his shirt dripping in ice cream.

ARIELLA

What happened to you?

Caleb marches inside.

CALEB

I was out doing deliveries when the mush I refuse to call ice cream ate through Marvin's recycled cups. Just as I suspected, rice paper is not a reliable receptacle. I don't know how long I can put up with him. His ideas are ruining the Swirly's reputation.

DAVE

Bingo! (on their looks) You said five or more words that begin with R. No one else plays that game?

KAREN

I think it's a good thing that you're selling healthy alternatives.

CALEB

I would agree if they actually qualified as food.

ARIELLA

You have to speak up. Lance's business is at stake. Besides, as long as that menu is up, I'm out.

CALEB

I am going to speak up. Right after I scrape the tofu from my Swirly cart's freezer.

He sniffs his shirt and gags.

CALEB (CONT'D)

And change my uniform.

He covers his mouth and bolts out the door.

ARIELLA

That's it. I'll pretend I'm sick. Then they'll have to find someone to replace me. (calling after Caleb) Save me some tofu. Extra chunky!
