EXT. SWIRLY GO ROUND – DAY

Caleb enters the Swirly truck where Marvin Milton has his back turned.

CALEB

Hey, Lance.

Milton turns around.

CALEB (CONT'D)

You're not Lance.

MARVIN

I'm Lance's younger brother Marvin. Lance had to take off for a family emergency and left me in charge for the week. You must be Caleb. I've heard a lot about you.

CALEB

Oh yeah? Like what?

Marvin eyes him suspiciously.

MARVIN

Things.

CALEB

Well, just let me know if you need any help. 

MARVIN

That won't be necessary. I am in charge after all. I've got this.

He taps his upside down Manager nametag.

CALEB

Already off to a great start.

Outside of the truck, Ariella and Mae join Danny at a table. Danny holds a bag of Chipper Chocolate Chip cookies.

DANNY

Go ahead. Try a bite.

Mae helps herself to the cookies.

DANNY

Hey! I was rehearsing for a commercial not actually offering.

He peeks inside the bag.

DANNY

You are a heavy sampler.

ARIELLA

Chipper Chocolate Chip?

Ariella takes a cookie and examines it.

ARIELLA (CONT'D)

Aw. They have little smiles on them.

Danny closes the bag.

DANNY

Before you eat away the rest of my prop, I have an opportunity for you to get your own. The director is looking for someone to play a very important part. Anyone interested?

ARIELLA

Count me in.

DANNY

Cool. We are going to have so much fun.

He stands and hands her the bag of cookies.

DANNY (CONT'D)

Have a chipper day.

He exits.

MAE

I'm surprised you're getting back into acting, especially after you choked during the Cinderella play.

ARIELLA

I was scared for my life. Who puts a harness on a fifth grader?

MAE

You ran away so quickly they didn't get a chance to. And without her fairy godmother, Cinderella never made it to the ball.

ARIELLA

This is my chance to redeem myself. My face could be seen all over the world. I could be the next big star.

MAE

Of a chocolate chip cookie commercial?

ARIELLA

Can you let a girl dream?

She eats a cookie and daydreams.
