INT. SCHOOL GYM – LATER

Caleb joins Torin at the voting box.

CALEB

I asked every vampire here and none of them have my next clue. Or a cool Transylvanian accent. What other monster is known for being bloodthirsty and cold?

Beat. He looks suspiciously at Torin and searches around her.

TORIN

What are you doing?

Caleb picks up the ballot box and looks underneath it finding his next clue. He takes it.

CALEB

Yes! (reading) "It's the final clue. No longer will I hyde. Your mysterious admirer wears a royal disguise." She's a queen.

TORIN

Let me see that.

She snatches the clue and reads it.

TORIN (CONT'D)

Some queen. She didn't even spell hide right.

She hands it back to him.

CALEB

Who cares? I'm finally going to meet the girl who went through all of this just so we could be together.

TORIN

Not before you cast your vote for me.

Caleb writes in his ballot.

TORIN

Now that Ariella's stuck at home scrubbing floors, that prize is easily mine.

She cackles menacingly.

Mrs. Shannon stands at the back of the gym holding a bat crown and a jack-o-lantern full of Pumpkin Munchkins.

MRS. SHANNON

It is now time to announce the winner for Best Costume, who will receive this bat crown and a pumpkin full of Pumpkin Munchkins courtesy of Danny Lockhart.

Danny smiles and winks while eating a Pumpkin Munckin.

MRS. SHANNON (CONT'D)

And the winner is...

Gasps as Ariella enters in her princess costume, her face hidden behind a dazzling mask. All eyes are on her.

SHANNON

Due to the unanimous gasps, the mysterious girl in pink.

Torin screams, devastated.
