INT. MOVIE THEATER – LATER

Ariella, Caleb, and Mae enter. Ariella searches the theater. She spots Yvonne and Adam.

ARIELLA

There they are.

MAE

How did you know they'd be here?

ARIELLA

Yvonne posts her and Adam's every move. Not even a chisel could separate those two.

MAE

I'm surprised they're not sick of each other. I sure am.

Ariella turns to Caleb.

ARIELLA

This is our chance to convince Yvonne that we're dating. Do you think you can do this?

Caleb responds with noises of faked confidence.

CALEB

Psh...

ARIELLA

Just follow my lead.

They move to the seats in front of Yvonne and Adam who are too preoccupied with each other to notice. Ariella cuddles up to Caleb.

ARIELLA (CONT'D)

Thank you for taking me to see this movie. You are the best boyfriend ever.

She reaches out to poke his nose and pokes him in the eye.

CALEB

Ow!

This gets Yvonne's attention. She leans toward them.

YVONNE

I didn't know you two were a thing.

ARIELLA

It sort of just happened.

MAE

Feels like only hours ago.

Yvonne hands Ariella an invite.

YVONNE

You have to come to my party.

ARIELLA

Wouldn't miss it.

Yvonne sits back in her seat. Ariella beholds her golden ticket.

ARIELLA (CONT'D)

It actually worked.

MAE

This is only the beginning. You still have to keep up the act until you make it in the party.

CALEB

Works for me.

He stretches and puts an arm around Ariella's shoulder. She gives him a look. He quickly removes it.
