Danny and Mae are all dressed up at Danny's tenth-anniversary dinner.

DANNY

Hey, look. There's some of my former employers.

He waves. The group of advertisers waves back wearing shirts of their products. Mae cringes and looks away.

Caleb's agent Brad walks onto the stage.

BRAD

And now, a fan-made presentation in honor of Danny's passionate and prolific portfolio.

DANNY

How's my teary-eyed look?

He demonstrates.

MAE

You won't need it.

Danny's commercials are a joke. I don't know how some of those companies are still in business.

Some of the advertisers cover their shirts.

You'd have to be a great actor to sell that stuff. He's fooled us all.

It's like he doesn't care about the customers. It's all about getting his face out there. His beautiful, gorgeous face. It's the only reason I don't turn the channel.

Danny is disappointed. Mae starts clapping, but no one joins in. She stops. Danny walks onto the stage.

DANNY

By a show of hands, who agrees with them?

Most of the room raises their hands including one of the advertisers. Mae raises her hand.

DANNY (CONT'D)

I had no idea my ads made such a bad impact. The truth is, I got so busy living the dream that I forgot what my job was all about. So from now on, I promise to only endorse offers you can trust. I'd like to thank my agent for all the work he's gotten me these past ten years.

Brad smiles, honored.

DANNY (CONT'D)

It's time for me to take my job more seriously, which means I'm going to have to let you go. Everyone enjoy the rest of your night.

He walks off the stage.

MAE

I'm really sorry.

DANNY

This was good for me. I'm ready for a fresh start.

Elroy Hawk walks over. He offers Danny his hand.

ELROY

Elroy Hawk, nice to meet you.

DANNY

You're one of the best talent agents in the world. What are you doing here?

ELROY

I've had my eyes on you for quite some time now. You, kid, have promise. So, if you're serious about getting serious, I think I might have some work for you.

DANNY

Seriously?

ELROY

Here's my card. Give me a call and we can set up a meeting. By the way, how good is that Love Potion?

Danny shakes his head.

ELROY (CONT'D)

Thought so.

He takes a bottle of Love Potion out of his pocket and dumps it in the trash.
