Max heard someone calling his name excitedly, and turned around to see who it was.

 Daniel stood there waving and calling his name again. What does he want?, Max asked to himself but made his way over to Daniel.

"What is it, Dan?", Max asked and Daniel's smile  grew wider if this is even possible. His best friend is always smiling and he loves that about him.

 When he is honest, he loves everything about Daniel. But he is too shy to admit it. 

Daniel starts babbling ,lots, of stuff always tripping over his own words. Max is not really listening until he hears the word prize!

 Max and Daniel love competitions and when he can win a price, he is all in.

"We can win a price at a karaoke competition, but we would have to pretend like we are dating, it's for couples only." Daniel finishes, and Max heart sinks.
