You were walking through the pit lane of the Silverstone race track trying to find your way over to the Red Bull garage.

Jeez, this place is huge.

You wandered around for a few minutes, probably looking like a lost puppy, before finally asking someone for directions.

“Um excuse me, do you know where the Red Bull garage is?” You asked someone in an Orange uniform who was standing near by.

“Meeting someone there?”

“My twin sister actually works there, I'm just here to take her out for lunch.” You answered.

His eyes then seemed to brighten with recognition. “... Is your sister Sadie Wilson, by any chance?”

“Yeah! How did you kn-” You stopped short, remembering that you're literally identical twins. “Oh right.” You said sheepishly, gesturing at your face.

He chuckled and then waved his hand for you to follow him, “Come on, I'll show you the way over there.”

After a minute of walking, you arrived at the Red Bull garage. It was quite noisy and pretty much everyone seemed to be busy doing something.

Damn.

The guy who walked you over here noticed your facial expression and then spoke up, “Kind of overwhelming isn't it?”

“I'll say.”

Luckily you managed to spot Sadie over in the far corner and waved at her to catch her attention.

“I better get back now, have fun with your sister.” The man smiled at you before heading off.

You waved as he left and then made your way over to your twin.

“Hey!” You greeted her with a smile.

“Hey you made it!” She stood up to give you a hug. “You didn't have too much trouble finding the place did you?”

“No it was okay.” You took a look at your surroundings. “Pretty busy in here huh?”

“Yeah, we've been prepping for the race all morning so... Pretty hectic if I do say so myself.”

“I bet you're in dire need of a lunch break at Pizza hut right about now?”

Her face lit up at the mention of her favourite restaurant.

“Oh my gosh definitelyy. Give me a minute to grab my stuff from the other room and then we can go.”
“You okay to wait here for me?”

“Yeah of course! Go grab your things, I think I can manage sitting perfectly still for a few minutes.” You gently pushed her over to the hallway.

You took another look around you. Everything was so... Intense. You always wondered why your sister wanted to work in F1 but you never really knew why. You guessed she just thrives under pressure, you definitely do not.

You decided to go on your phone for a bit to pass the time, and to try and block out the confused glances people kept giving you. Clearly they've never seen an identical twin before.

You were idly scrolling through Instagram when suddenly your phone was snatched out of your hand!

“Hey!-”

“No you're gonna listen to me because I'm clearly right about this.” A guy with a Dutch accent said to you heatedly. You guessed he was one of the drivers because of his racing suit.

“Right about what-” He shushed you before you could finish.

Um rude.

“You know exactly what I'm talking about.”

“I really don't-”

“Don't play dumb with me.” He looked you directly in the eye. “Listen to me and listen closely.” He said it so intensely that you didn't even dare to protest.

His eyes narrowed and then he spoke, “... Pineapple. Does. Not. Go. On. Pizza.”

Neither of you spoke for a second... And then you burst out laughing.

“Stop laughing! You know I'm right!”

You carried on laughing, gaining you a few stares from the crew who were trying to work.

“Okay first of all...” You finally pulled yourself together. “Pineapple is delicious on pizza! And second of all, who even are you?” You were still laughing slightly.

“What do you mean? Sadie we were talking just minutes ago-” And then it all clicked into place.

“Ohhhh you think I'm Sadie? Wow okay this is even better than before.” You were smirking with glee.

The poor guy looked so confused.

“What do you- what are you talking about?” He genuinely didn't know what to think.

Then your twin walked back into the room.
“Max?”

So that's what his name is.

Max looked between the two of you. He looked again, and again.
“You're-”

“Yep.”

“Well... This is very awkward for me.” He looked at you and your twin sheepishly.

You looked at your twin standing behind Max, who was shaking her head in amusement.

“I'm guessing you didn't tell him that you have an identical twin sister.”

“I thought it'd be more funny if he found out himself.” She sent a wink your way.

“Funny for you maybe...” He grumbled.

“Exactly.” Sadie brushed past him to stand next to you.

“Yeah I don't think I'll ever get used to this.” Max looked at the two identical faces standing in front of him.

“You know, it's rude to stare.” You said to him and he looked at you with surprise.

“But I- I mean I was just-”

“Relax I'm just messing with you.” You snickered.

“Fun isn't it?” Sadie smirked before tugging your arm to lead you over to the exit.

“Wait, hold on.” Max grabbed onto your shoulder. “You never told me your name.”

You smiled at him.
“It's y/n.”

“Well it's great to meet you y/n, despite all of the twin confusion.”

You chuckled.
“Yeah you too.”

You glanced down at his hand.
“By the way you're still holding my phone.”

“Oh right! Uh sorry about before, here you go.” He returned the phone to you.

“Don't worry about it, it was pretty amusing to be honest.” You said while taking it back. You hesitated for a moment as you held your phone in your hand, debating whether to ask him for his number.

But your twin noticed the stupid smile you had on your face and was now dragging you away before you could say anything else.

“Oh- okay then-” You said, almost tripping over her foot. “Bye Max!”

As you got out the door, Sadie turned to you suddenly.

“... What?” You asked her.

“What do you mean "what"? I saw that big grin on your face. You were practically drooling.”

“Excuse me?”

“You like him, don't you?”

“... Maybe I do. But we literally just met seconds ago so I don't see why it's any of your concern.” It may have been a bit harsh but you never liked it when Sadie talks about your love life.

“Alright fair enough.” She held her hands up in surrender. “Just... Be careful okay.”

“Aren't I always?”

“No. That's why I'm saying it.” She said and you stuck your tongue out at her.

She slung her arm around your shoulders and the two of you made your way over to pizza hut.

“By the way, how on earth did you guys end up arguing about whether pineapple goes on pizza?”
