Context: So this is the beginning, that to be honest, I don't spend much time on. I wanted to get to the beefy stuff, the angst, so I abandoned the start pretty quick. Any who, this is obviously a RR AU, but has some background in another story, the other story mostly following Maxie, so I'll put it in the context when he shows up! Anyways, it's the usual, all the leaders plans fail and they get to go hangout with the other leaders.

"It's been forever since I've been part of a team!" Lysander smiled softly at Giovanni, before turning to the ocean outside of the headquarters. He stared over the water longingly, he's eyes wishful.
"I chose a great place didn't I?" Giovanni asked coolly, but in his mind he was wondering if his data files were correct. 'This-This is the terrible Lysander, right? I-I can't believe that someone so... nice... could have tried to destroy the world, even if it meant taking his life as well!' He pondered for a moment before realizing that Lysander had seen a boat come in.
"Oh-" Lysander yelped like an excited rockruff, "Who is that!"
Suddenly, off of the boat stepped two men. One was tall, lanky, and obviously annoyed. The other was medium hight and dressed in a silky cloak.
"-Anyways!-" The medium one exclaimed "-I was going to release all Pokémon, but one of my staff got in the way!" He yelled loudly to the other, who had began covering his ears to block out the noise. Of course the medium man didn't take notice and blabbed on.
"Hi!" Lysander said happily to the two. He rushed up to shake their hands. "I'm Lysander and who may you be!?"
The tall one looked up at Lysander and begun introducing himself as he shook his outstretched hand. "I am Cyrus, leader of the illustrious Team Galactic, who's mission is to-" Cyrus started before the medium man quickly interrupted him. "Yeah, yeah! We get it!" He shoved Cyrus out of the way and took Lysander's hand. "Anyways, I'm Ghetsis and I'm the leader of Team Plasma! Nice to meet you, Lysander and- uhh... who are you?" He asked confused, leaning over to look at Giovanni.
Lysander opened his mouth to explain, but Giovanni silenced him. "Giovanni. The person who invited you all here. Now that should be-"
"WAIT!" Lysander loudly cut through Giovanni's introduction. "There are... two more people left!" He explained looking deeply into a file titled Ruby and Sapphire.
Giovanni sighed and plopped down on his chair tired. These-these people were so unlike their forms had said they were going to be! He questioned if they would actually be good.
"Hey who's that!" Ghetsis laughed to Giovanni, who was lost in thought, as a small boat drifted towards the four bosses. On the front of the boat stood a kind of short man, who wore all red. As to boat got closer the engine stopped, and off stepped...
