"Y/n, you okay?" Baekhyun's voice called, a glint of worry started glowing in his gaze as he looked at you with concern. His voice stopped you from spacing out and you looked up at him, a bit startled.

"Eh?" You asked absentmindedly.

Baekhyun frowned at your strange behavior, he turned his whole body towards you, taking a few steps towards you. You couldn't help but gulp as his expression started darkening into a more serious one. Both you and Minah had always thought that seriousness didn't suit on someone like Baekhyun.

"I asked if you are okay, you're spacing out. It's not like you." He eventually repeated, his expression softened, the tone in his voice calm and soothing, making a little shiver run down the spine. It had felt extremely weird, and you wondered why in the world your body was reacting that way to him.

You waved your hand, denying, giving him a reassuring smile. A fake one. In fact, he raised his eyebrow, with suspiciousness, he didn't buy it. You couldn't blame him though, even if faking was one of your best abilities, Baekhyun would always be one of those who saw through you.

You smiled awkwardly, looking down, feeling stupid for thinking he would let you off easily. Though nothing was actually wrong, you were just feeling a bit confused about your feelings. Like, since when would you feel nervous around Baekhyun? Why did he have such a strong impact on you all of sudden?

"Eh nothing is wrong, come on let's go to class.." You said, trying to change the topic, you glanced at your friends, Minah didn't seem too worried, though Baekhyun had started to worry a bit too much, and you could see it on his face.

Walking off to class, your friends caught up to you, the boy still watching you with worry. Your heart squeezed when you felt his hand brushing against yours as he took it in his. Looking up at him, you tried your best to stop the blush forming on your cheeks, faking a confused expression.

Baekhyun though nailed his eyes into yours, his look saying everything.

You sighed heavily and squeezed his hand reassuringly, regretting it immediately. It had made your heart beat like crazy, suddenly the nervousness was making your palms sweat.

"I'm fine really, there's nothing to worry about, okay?" You explained and gave him a little smile, showing your sincerity. You looked calm, but inside you were far from that. Butterflies, high pulse, your cheeks burning up. It was all there, but this time you had managed to play it off pretty well.

His face lightened up as his lips curled into a relieved smile, showing off his pearly white teeth. "All right." He sang happily, you looked down feeling how your cheeks got hotter each second.

'What the heck is even wrong with me, I must be sick.' You thought, shaking your head at your strange behavior. It was not like you wanted to feel like this, in fact, you hated it. But no matter how much you fought against it, there was nothing you could do to stop it.

It was just confusing, maybe it would be better if he kept being annoying, you thought. That way you wouldn't feel this sick. You wanted to groan in frustration, as you had started to overthink the whole situation. It had just been driving you crazy. Thoughts clouding your mind, every thought, every feeling becoming one big blur.

Though you couldn't do that in school, people would think you were a psycho, and your friends would worry, so you continued doing what you were good at. Cover it up with a mask. You hid very often your feelings. Many times you felt like you would just bother people if you'd try talking about your problems. Or just think of it as it's not so important, so your near ones don't need to know.

You were used to it, you didn't open up to other people easily, except for family or close friends. The only ones who had been able to get you to talk, were Baekhyun, your family and sometimes Minah.

Baekhyun would always insist and force to tell you what was wrong. He didn't like seeing you sad, or angry. He hated it, he didn't want to be that friend who doesn't bother. Because even if he often fooled around, annoyed you, he really did care about you.

Sure, he was someone very loud and loved to get on people's nerves, especially yours. He loved to flirt around, though he wasn't a player. He hated serious situations. But when it came to you, he could be dead serious about you being hurt in any way. It had always made you feel somehow special. It made you have a glint of hope in being someone important, even though you thought that you'd never deserve that title.

If you'd ever tell Baekhyun that, he'd probably start rambling out a paragraph about how you shouldn't say that because of this and that. And that was one of your favorite sides of him. The caring one, that shows how he'd do anything to make sure that his friends know how important they are. That they matter.

The moment you entered the classroom Baekhyun was already surrounded by a mass of girls trying to have a conversation with him at all costs. Sometimes you felt bad for him, but that pity would disappear once he'd Start flattering every single girl giving him the sweet eyes.

You stared at him while he smiled at the girls around him, giving them a few winks, making them go crazy. You had always asked yourself if he ever got tired of it, but you guessed not. He seemed to enjoy it way too much for your liking.

Today that view felt more annoying than usual. You couldn't stand looking at him flirting with those noisy chicks. Somehow, just a mere glance was enough to make the steam come out of your ears.

You had no reason to, but you couldn't stop the feeling of anger filling you up. All of sudden you felt mad at him, offended for some reason. You felt stupid for getting worked up over something so silly, but at the same time, a part of you didn't disagree with the anger.

You puffed your cheeks childishly and looked away with a frown forming on your face. Your head was telling you to ignore him for the rest of the day, and occasionally give into your jealousy. Normally you wouldn't even consider it in the first place, to ignore him. Though sometimes, strong feelings always took the best of one.

From time to time you stole glances at him, no matter how mad you felt, you couldn't seem to take your eyes off him. He was like a magnet whom your eyes got attracted to. It was so annoying that you scolded yourself after every glance, but at the same time, watching him, his movements, his features, was just something you found yourself loving.

The bell rang, signaling freedom from the boring class you had just attended. Not that you had been able to listen much of it, your mind is distracted by millions of thoughts about him, your relationship, your feelings. Quickly you gathered your stuff just to disappear from the sight of your friends, leaving them both confused.

As you were walking through the hallway you looked back just to see if there was someone behind you. The heart jumped in your chest when you saw that one person you were trying to avoid, standing just a few meters away from you. With a flinch, your eyes widened just as you had been experiencing a jump scare.

Without thinking twice you started running, wanting to come as far from him as possible, fearing an awkward situation. He would ask you what was the matter, and you would understand if he did, but you would never be able to answer because you too, was so confused over your own actions. There was something pushing you to do such things you'd never even come close to, what was happening?

His footsteps got eventually louder the closer he came, at that moment you knew he had started running as well.

"Shit." You cursed under your breath knowing that he'd probably catch up with you in no time. After all, he was pretty fast. Faster than you for sure.

"Y/n!" He called out, an urged tone in his voice, your heart throbbed as your legs felt weaker, the impulse of running away felt bigger. You didn't want him to see you in such a helpless state. So you continued on running.

And as you had expected, he grabbed your wrist from firmly from behind, making you gasp with surprise. You tried to jerk him off but he didn't move an inch, his grip was tight, and you were completely aware of the fact that fighting against him would be useless. He was stronger than you in any possible way.

You stopped fighting against him and sighed, not daring to turn around and face him.

"Y/n." He started, his voice was calm, though you could hear the demanding tone inside of it.
"What's going on? Are you mad at me?"
