"Do you eat as much as my son?" Kevin glanced at Natsu picking through the fridge with a plate stacked with food.

"Is that even possible?" Gray snickered.

"Yes." Natsu butted in monotone.

There was an awkward silence with only the chewing noise Natsu made when he ate.

"So..." Kevin started

"So..." Gray and Natsu echoed

"So my son is...friends with Icy Bitch's son. Please say your rivals at the least so I have the dignity. Speaking of which, Natsu, maybe you should lift more weights." Kevin thought that Natsu was too scrawny in comparison to the other men in the family on both sides.

"I lift plenty, father." Natsu glared, "For the record, yes we are rivals, but also friends." 

"Hm. Right." he stretched out the last word and rolled his eyes.

"Wait- I just realized, you said your dad's name was Aster, and its also Kevin? You called your mom Selene, Veronica, and Felicia?" Gray realized and blinked in confusion.

"Oh, yea that would be confusing. My mom goes by all of those since her full name is Selene Veronica Felica Dragneel. It just depends on her mood. My dad's full name is-"

"Aster Kevin Dragneeel." Kevin interrupted.

Me sweating realizing this 

"Oh." Gray looked down, "Okay."

"Natsu's full name is Natsu Nyx Ethierious Dragneel." Selene appeared in the doorway holding a clear bag of cookies.

"COOKIES!! Gray, thier from the local Fairy bakery- THEY'RE TO DIE FOR! I love them!" Natsu smiled and scurried over to his mother's side.

Gray snorted, "Nyx? Like the -"

"Yes." Natsu huffed crossing his arms.

"Hun, where did silver go? He was here earlier." Selene handed Natsu the bag of cookies. 

Not a smart choice, they'd be gone in a minute.

"Oh he took a call, He's round back in the garden." 

Gray stumbled, he could barely breathe. His dad was here. He was so close. 

Gray sighed closing his eyes, regaining his composure. He knew this was going to happen eventually. This was one of the main reasons he came here in the first place. The other- well, Natsu was special like that.

"Gray?" Natsu queered concerned, "Are you okay?" 

"I...don't know." 

Just then a glass sliding door in the back opened and there stood a tall man in a suit with a white furry cape and slicked-back black hair and scars covered his face.

"Dad...?" Gray's voice hollowed out as he stared in the face of what he lost.

"Ah...Gray. Let's take a walk shall we?"

"Gray, feel free to burn your father's damned sacrilege rabbit cape," Kevin retorted.

"I think that's more Natsu's are of expertise." Gray coughed, "Sure, dead father, where to?"

"Natsu, sit. We need to talk too." Kevin's expression softened for the first time.

"Fine." Natsu sat down like an angsty rebellious teenager.
