MOVIE >scene13> - A Dorm. A Delinquent. A Girl.

A smile, he can manage one. One that'll melt anyone's heart. However, behind that smile there is a maze made of murder. He knows how to get what he wants. He knows what he wants. He's confident, self centered, arrogant and he knows how to smile. For all that, Lexis is a transparent sheet of questions impossible to break through.

He stood in his school uniform, jacket off, black vest hugging his waist flawlessly. His back was to Anthony as he looked out of the window in front of him with a distant glare.

"But man, wasn't it the best prank ever?" Anthony exclaimed.

Anthony was Lexis' younger brother. The last in the family. Even though the little brat was ten years old, being home schooled gave him the advantage to stay glued like gum to his older brother's side. He worshipped Lexis, beyond what words could describe. And even though he only had very few chances to see him during the day, mostly due to the rule of Anthony having to stay in the Ellis wing of the Academy, he still managed to sneak out every now and then and pull pranks on others.

"I told you not to mess around with people that don't have anything to lose. Jack Hamilton won't hold back in breaking you into two pieces."

Anthony threw his head back and cackled. "Like he could. I got you, no one can touch the air around me."

Lexis' thoughts were disturbed again by something unusual. "You should quit your childish schemes. How are you doing in your studies?"

Anthony hurled himself against the couch and smirked. "Well bro, guess I inherited your brains."

Lexis sipped from his glass and squinted his eyes. His thoughts were muddled. "Good." To himself, he muttered. "Even though I'm not sure if that's actually a good thing." He turned around and placed the cup on the table nearby, then looked over at Anthony. "Don't do anything rash anymore."

Anthony's smile was gone and in place of it, a frown formed. "But bro, home is boring as hell. And in here its all rules. Everything is so controlled. I hate it. There is no fun, at all. I want to make it fun. Everyone is so boring." He spit the last word out.

Lexis sighed. "Whatever. Just don't let anyone pull a fast one on you."

"You're my brother. Who would dare?"

The door pushed open and an angry Summer trotted in. Her curled fists at the her sides made it clear she wasn't in a good mood.

She stopped near the glass table, glaring at Lexis. "You said you're going to fix this crazy arranged marriage business!" She said in a quiet and deadly tone.

Anthony stood up and put his flirt mask on. Half smile, nearly closed eyes and a cocked right eyebrow. He walked over to Summer and nodded his head at her. "Hey beautiful. When do you want me to fill in your empty eight P.M. schedule for tomorrow night's dinner."

She turned a glare, a soft glare, however, for how cute he was, towards Anthony. "I don't date preschoolers. Though I'd prefer you over your older jerk of a brother any day."

His smile widened. "Why not then?"

"Too old for you." She cleared. "I'll get arrested."

He slipped an arm around her waist, a very bold move basically not a soul on the planet can pull off with Summer Harrison, universal model and next in line to her parents world wide hair, beauty and fashion design label. "Ah," He sighed, pulling an Italian accent. "How fun would it be to pull a love so illegitimate in a world with no mercy."

She sighed in annoyance and pushed him away. "That's all you care about. Fun." She darted her glare toward Lexis. "Find a solution to your father's game. I'm not marrying you. I can't even stand you in this enormous school, how am I going to bear living under the same roof with you." She shuddered.

Lexis' thoughts were puzzled as he stared at her without recognition.

While Summer stared at him, a knot tightened in her stomach. For some reason, no matter how much she loathed Lexis, she always had that knot when she saw him.

Settling into the present, Lexis smiled his usual relaxed smile. "I tried. Nothing worked. I think the only way we can fix this is to get married and then have a divorce."

Summer's heart started pounding away, something erie since it rarely happened. In fact, she'd only become this way when she'd get ready for the runway and the thought of tripping on stage would take over her thoughts.

"Theres is no way I'm marrying you. No way." She said slowly.

Lexis nodded. "I agree. We both despise one another. Yet, this could possibly be the fate that The Romantics spoke of."

She laughed without humor. "Stop acting like you're okay with this now too. Fate? Don't pull that crap over me."

"That's no way for a lady to speak. If your mother was here, she'd scold you."

She became so angry you can almost see the smoke coming out of her ears. Without another word she stormed across the room to the door, kicking the side table next to the sofa on her way, making the Magnolia lamp on top of it crash against the floor.

Lexis chuckled under his breath and sighed. "She gets so pretty sometimes."

Anthony looked from Lexis to the door. Pointing back and forth, he said. "I don't think that's a healthy relationship."

"Why do you flirt with her?"

"The same reason you do." Anthony flashed a set of white teeth. "And she's the only fun girl in this Academy that doesn't try to act nice to me to get closer to you. She acts nice to me because I'm cute."

Lexis sighed and turned back to look out the window, his hands in his pants front pockets. His thoughts became muddled again. "You crave entertainment dramatically."

Anthony sat on the sofa again, crossing his legs on top of the glass table. "Man, if I can find a girl in this school that's trouble. Like Violet. But even her, she's no fun. She might get scary, but that's as far as she goes. Too quiet, too still."

"You want to find a girl in a college preparatory school?" Lexis smirked. "My little brother is all grown up. It seems like only yesterday you'd throw a fit for not having your cup of chocolate milk before sleep."

A sense of pride jolted through Anthony's chest. It always did when Lexis refered to Anthony by brother, which rarely happened.

"Hey! Jessica Ford gave me her number–" Anthony was about to argue, but the sound coming from the speakers, which was close enough to a fire alarm, made him pause and slowly stand up.

That, specifically, was the warning alarm in the Academy. Whether it be a student who still wasn't in their dorm by curfew time, or a fight that broke out between students, the sound of it alone was pure music to Anthony's ears.

He cracked a smile. "I'm gonna go and see what's up."

Lexis' eyes didn't leave the window. Anthony paused long enough to realize that his older brother wasn't like usual. Something was stealing all his thoughts.

He grabbed his black hoody and pulled it on, then as he exited the room in a jog, he pulled the hood on top of his head and covered half of his face.

Often, his height would give away that he's at the very least a freshman. A short freshmen, and his hood concealed his identity well.

"Did you hear?" Someone said.

He listened closer.

"They say he stole from Connor Owens dorm this time."

"Isn't that a member of F.A.I.T.H.?"

"Yep. If whoever it is starts messing with them, it won't be long before they're busted."

Connor Owens? That means the east wing of the school...

Anthony dashed toward the east doors. He knew security would be searching the Academy, but he had a strong feeling that whoever it is exits the school the moment they steal. Then comes back sometimes at night and reenters. Only no matter how fast Anthony had always run to try and catch up to whoever it was, they always managed to get away.

Not this time.

He exited the doors and ran to the high brick wall; a fence surrounding the school from intruders, and to keep students from breaking out and leaving at random. It was about eight feet tall, but he knew well that any person can use a ladder and be fine climbing in and out. He, himself, had done it before and it worked like a charm.

All that's needed is the perfect blind spot to do it.

He stopped near the brick wall closest to the dormitory side of the academy, the blind spot. Only Lexis and him knew where it was. No matter which direction you look at from here, there wasn't a single door, window, security cameras or loitering person in sight.

He can hear cars whiz by on the street right behind the brick wall, and as he looked around to make sure no one was around, he got ready to get the ladder.

Then paused.

He looked up to where he glimpsed something with the side of his eye.

Rihanna, who sat at the top of the brick wall, waved at Vincent, who sat in his car as he waved back enthusiastically.

Mrs. Caravelle might have warned her about the exit doors, but she hadn't mentioned the blind spot that Rihanna found after careful search. She had informed Vincent of the good news as soon as she found it and they made plans that it was the place they would use when they needed to get together.

Vincent drove away and she turned to the other side. When she saw a student stand there on the green summer grass, staring up at her, her smile dropped and her whole body became uptight with fear.

Then he removed his hood from the top of his head to get a better look at her, and she sighed in relief when she saw that it was just a nine or ten year old kid.

With a frown, she jumped down from the wall, landing silently.

Anthony stared at the girl as she jumped, arms stretched out to the side, body flexible as it front flipped once, and legs strong enough to land without flaw on the grass.

The feeling as he stared at her, was similar to a thief looking at a billion dollar jewel. He wanted to have her, he realized. He wanted to know who she was right now.

And he had so many questions for her, but the one that confused him most was, why did she glance at him for a split second, then turn and go, like she didn't care.

Like she didn't know who Anthony Ellis was.

He ran and stopped right in front of her, putting his flirt mask on. "Did you just drop out of heaven?"

Rihanna stopped for a second, she almost found it funny as it was annoying for the little kid to be doing this. She can tell right away what interested him in her wasn't her looks, but in fact, her jump that she did. Before long, he'll probably start asking her to teach him how to do it.

She took a step closer to him, took ahold of his small head with the palm of her hand, turned it so it was facing the other way, then slapped it hard enough until he was toppling forward.

"Get lost, kid."

Then she turned and dashed for the back doors.
