Kanan looked up at the crew. "Well the whole story is that I met Ezra's mom and we fell in love. But then Ezra came along and things changed. We had to focus on him and do our jobs. But one day they came. I put Ezra in a place where he would be safe. I went to the door with my wife and tried to deal with the imperials but it was no use. They grabbed her and me but I was able to escape, when I turned to save my wife they shot her. I turned and ran hoping that I would one day be able to see Ezra again. But little did I know that the people that I put him with would betray him and leave him to fend for himself." Kanan explained the whole story to the crew and by the end Sabine and Hera were in tears. Zeb was just looking at the ground silently.

        Hera came over to Kanan and gave him a big hug. She released him and said, "if you need some time we'll stop bugging you." Kanan looked up at her. "Thanks but I'm okay." He said and looked at the rest of the crew. "Do you have any other questions?" He asked. "Yeah." Sabine said. "How did you know that it was Ezra and not some crazy kid that we had just met?" She asked him. "Because of his eyes." Kanan replied, "No one has that same color of eyes." He looked down and remembered his wife. He never thinks of her name it brings back to much pain. "Im gonna go check up on Ezra." Kanan said as he got up and left the crew."

     Kanan walked into his room to find Ezra sprawled out on the bed sleeping. He walked over and sat on the bed next to him and started to rub his back like when he was younger. Ezra woke up to see Kaman sitting there next to him. "Hey dad." He said in a tired voice.

    "Hey son. How are you feeling?" He asked. "Sicky." Ezra replied but relaxed to Kanan's touch. "Is there any thing I can do to make you feel better?" Kanan asked seeing Ezra in pain made his heart hurt. "You can stay here with me." Ezra said and had a pleading look one his face. How can Kanan even think about saying no!

      Kanan smiled and got in the bed next to Ezra. Ezra laid his head on Kanan's chest and wrapped an arm around him. Kanan had one arm around Ezra rubbing his back and the other holding the back of his head to him. Eventually they both fell asleep.

      Kanan woke to something shaking him. But no one was shaking him it was Ezra probably having a nightmare. "Ezra wake up." Wake up Kaman said while sending calming waves throughout the force. "Ezra open your eyes!" I said a little louder. Ezra opened his eyes and sat up quickly. "Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. It's okay. Your safe. I'm here. Your okay." Kanan said to Ezra as he pulled him to his chest.

     "You were taken away and I never saw you again." Ezra said to Kanan, his voice muffled my Kanan's shirt. "Im here it's okay." Kanan said to Ezra as he cried all his tears out. Eventually he fell asleep and Kanan soon followed.
