Chapter Three;
Uchihas, Hyugas, & Promises?

Inside the Uchiha Living Room

Sasuke formally introduced Hinata to his family. "Mother, father, ... weasel , this is my beautiful fiancé."

'Fiancé?' Hinata has thought to say something but didn't as the wife of the head of the Uchiha walked up to her and hugged her.

"Welcome to our humble home dear," Hinata was caught off guard but hugged her back.

"Th-Thank you Mikoto-Sama," the young heiress smiles politely as they broke off the hug.

"Please call me mom honey," she smiled back sincerely causing Hinata to blush.

Itachi welcomed her next and being the gentleman he is he gently took her hand and kissed it softly causing her to blush a brighter shade of red.

"Welcome home, hime" and to top it off he shot her the classic Uchiha smirk. At that moment Hinata felt herself being pulled away by Sasuke.

"W a t c h it weasel." The we- I mean Itachi simply rolled his eyes and Mikoto giggled at her younger sons actions.

Finally the head of Uchiha approached her. Fugaku Uchiha. Before she could even introduce herself he spoke up.

"The princess of the Hyūga household our greatest rival and soon to be ally. And one of the villages most talented Anbu. The beautiful Hyūga Hinata, or should I say Uchiha? Since you are now my daughter-in-law after all.

Although nearly impossible Hinata turned brighter than a tomato. Which caused the younger Uchihas to smirk and Mikoto to squeal as she found the sight of the flustered hime immensely cute.

Hinata bowed respectfully showing her respect, let's not forgetting Fugaku was after all head of the prestigious Uchiha clan.

"Raise your head my child, it should be I who should be bowing to you." As she did what she was told Fugaku did one of the rarest things a Uchiha ever did.

He smiled.

Earning a shocked expression from his sons, and a smile from Hinata and his wife . Mikoto knew he would approve their sons decision of marrying a Hyūga but still she was delighted to hear her husbands words.

"Shall we eat then?"

They all nodded and walked into the dinning room. Sasuke and his brother could still not get over the fact that their father, Fugaku Uchiha, possibly one of the strictest most serious men on the planet. Had smiled at someone other than his wife.

They sat down and had a pleasant meal, talking about everything from politics to jutsus to everyday activities.

Through the dinner, Sasuke couldn't help but stare at Hinata. She looked as though she was actually enjoying herself. And for once didn't want to murder him for simply being in her presence.

After A Delightful Dinner

Mikoto and Hinata sat in the family room going through family albums. Hinata for once didn't feel like stabbing herself in the eyes with kunais while hearing about Sasuke.

They couldn't help but laughed when they came to a picture of Sasuke running naked.

Sasuke came up from behind them and snatched the book from them, "Okay okay ladies I am very sorry but Hinata we really should be going."

"Oh Hina dear say hello to your mother for me," she held Hinata's hands in hers and gave her a kind smile.

"Of course, I hope to see you all very soon." She bowed respectfully and smiled as she bid them all goodbye.

With that her and Sasuke made their way to the Hyūga compound in silence, but not in an awkward silence but a comfortable one. Sasuke was simply enjoying her presence. Hinata was just thinking about her night.

Outside The Hyūga Compound

"Well Hina-Chan here we are," the handsome Uchiha and beautiful Hyuga stood in front of each other a little awkwardly.

"So?"

"Sooo?" Hinata looked everywhere else besides at Sasuke.

"So Hinata it is 12:00 and uncle wishes to see you Uchiha," the turned to look at Neji.

Sasuke looking a tad bit annoyed and Hinata looking relieved.

"Oh Neji stop being so weird," said Hanabi as she pulled her overprotective cousin away.

Hinata followed them in along with Sasuke who couldn't help but wonder how he couldn't sense Nejis presence before. At all. Creepy.

"Uchiha-San." Hinata said finally speaking, "thank you for tonight. I truly enjoyed myself."

They came to a stop to where he assumed was Hiashis office. She bowed politely before taking her leave.

Leaving a shocked Uchiha behind. He could help but feel nervous and before he could even knock Hiashi spoke.

"Come in Uchiha."

Sasuke took and deep breath before stepping. He bowed respectfully.

"Mhmm, goodnight lord Hiashi."

"So it seems it is Uchiha-sa,"

"Please sir just Sasuke is fine." Hiashi nodded.

"Okay.. Sasuke i know we spoke of this briefly before but what are you intentions with my daughter. I ask you as a father not as head of the Hyuga."

Hiashi spoke as he looked out into the garden from large window in his study.

Sasuke tensed up even more if that was even possible.

He took a knee and spoke respectfully as in the the presence of a king.

"My intentions are not to harm your daughter in any way sir. On the contrary, I have much respect towards her. Not only as a woman but as a fellow ninja. She has made a name for herself outside of the Hyuga. She has taught me that no matter what obstacles are put in your path it is up to you to decide how it affects you. Hinata has been through so much that it wouldn't surprise me if she held a grudge against the world. Yet I have never once heard her complain. She shown courage, strength, loyalty, love and kindness. She's been there for a rock for many, that is why I believe it is my turn to take care of her. Lord Hiashi, I wish for your daughter Hyuga Hinata to be my wife."

Now it was Hiashis turn to tense up. He turned to face the young Uchiha.

"Although I have no proof that what you say is true, I also have no reason to not trust you. There  are just a couple of things to keep in mind. Please take a seat."

Feeling relieved Sasuke stood up and took a seat in front of Hiashi. ( who is now sitting at his desk ...)

"First. Although it is to be set as an arranged marriage, we must respect whatever decision Hinata takes regarding her feelings towards you. At the end of the day she is her own person. Second, always keep in mind an Uchiha and a Hyuga have never married before." Sasuke understand what he meant by that.

"And third, once word gets out of said wedding you must both remember that you are not only representing your own clan in words and actions, but each others. Remember we are two of the most powerful and respected clans."

Sasuke nodded in acknowledgment, "I understand Lord Hiashi."

"With that being said Sasuke, you're only goal for now is making my daughter fall in love with you. You have my blessing Sasuke. Now it is late and I don't want your mother sending out every Uchiha in search of you."

Sasuke wanted to laugh but Hiashi wasn't joking they both knew how Mikoto got when worried, "Thank you Lord Hiashi, I won't let you down."

And with that Sasuke stood up, bowed and took his leave.
