Chapter One;
Refusal

" No! I object! I will never marry that lowlife criminal!" Frustrated and angry the Hyuga heiress stormed out of her fathers office leaving both Hiashi and Sasuke dumbfounded.

Who knew Hinata had it in her. "Mhmm, well I apologize for my daughters behavior," Hiashi spoke as he tried to compose himself.

"Oh, uhm yeah no I understand sir.. It is all so sudden afterall. Although it is a forced marriage I wouldn't want to marry anyone else sir," Sasuke spoke in all honesty as bowed respectfully.

Hiashi placed a hand on his future son-in-laws shoulder, he smiled softly "lets give her sometime, I'm sure she'll come around ."

Sasuke straightened up and nodded, "I promise I'll win her heart, after all what would be the point of being married to someone who hates your guts?" He chuckled nervously.

" Sasuke I wish you the best of luck," the older Hyuga laughed as he left his office.

"Oh kami why are Hyugas so complicated.." He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "Although she is worth it.."

* In The Hyugas Garden*

"I don't get it mom, why am I being forced to marry that Uchiha," Hinata spoke with such hate when it came to Sasuke. Her mother continued braiding her hair, "Oh honey it's your job as the Hyuga heiress to unite our clans," Hana said trying to make her eldest daughter understand her duty.

"Your mother is right Hinata-sama" Neji walker over to his younger cousin and aunt.

"I'll leave you two alone," Hana smiled and kissed both Hinata and Neji on the forehead before leaving.

"What is it nii-san?" Neji smiled and shook his head. "Oh Hina I remember when we would run through this garden carefree and now here we are, both grown up. We've come such a long way Hina, we're both Anbu, our family is finally happy, the only difference is you're about to get married."

She rested her head on his shoulder and sighed, " How can I possible marry someone I don't love?"

"I wish I could help, but even I can't help this time..." Neji knew his word meant nothing in this situation, it would be useless to contradict his uncle especially with the Uchihas by his side.

"I suppose it's something I must agree to, even so I have a year to change fathers mind.." Hinata was determined to stop that wedding, if only she knew what she was getting herself into.

*At The Uchiha Compound*

"Mother I'm home!" Sasuke removed his sandals and walked over to his mother who was in the kitchen.

"Soooo how did it go?" Mikoto couldn't hide her excitement even if she tried. "Wellll she kind of uhmmm," he paused and gulped "objected... refused.. rejected me? threw a fit?" he couldn't seem find the correct words.

He looked away trying to hide the sadness in his eyes, but a mother knows her child better than anyone. And Mikoto knew the love her son has for the Hyuga heiress. "Oh honey, I'm sorry but you know the marriage will take place whether Hinata likes it or not," she hoped that would lighten his mood.

"Yes I know but she doesn't love me," she placed her hand on his cheek and smiled lovingly. "Oh my little Sasuke give her time, it'll all play out in the end."

"I have a year to make her fall in love with me, I know it won't be easy but there's nothing a Uchiha can't do." He started walking up to his room.

"Sasuke," he stopped midway up. "Yes?"

"I know she'll come around when she sees how amazing you truly are." He smiled, "Thanks mom."

So yes I know I'm a horrible person for starting a new story when I haven't even updated my other ones. Bite me. But I've actually had this written in my notebook for yeaaaaaaars so I decided I'd see where I'd with it. I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter. See you later minnaaaa! 🤗🐠
