Being a superhero, in my opinion, is one of the coolest things to happen to you. Especially with how I got it. Yeah, getting blasted by a radioactive bolt of lightning dust due to the inconvenience that one of the machines a laboratory failed to make work, therefore giving a normal 16 year old girl superpowers is kinda cliche. But hey, it made me famous. Well, my superhero counterpart.

But that's besides the point.

I'm still trying to figure out who is behind the mask of Spider-Man. It's been almost 5 months since I became The Phantom, and about 2 months since Spider-Man actually became my side-kick, although we both fight over who is who sometimes. And there are already people buying and selling shirts with my masked face on it.

I see Spider-Man's too, which is cool. We both get the recognition we want.

I heard the whirring of a football heading my way, someone yelling "Watch out" as it came close to my head. I didn't even look as I snatched it mere inches from my face, silence going through the hallway of Midtown High as I chucked it back, the football player catching it with a grunt.

"Nice catch, Felicity!" Sarah said as Valarie high-fived me. "When did you learn to throw like that?"

"I-I've always been able to throw like that." I said quickly, shutting my locker door. "Anyways, I don't have time to hang out today. Peter-"

"You and Peter are dating, aren't you?" Valarie piped up, her eyes widening as she slapped a hand over her mouth, leaning towards Sarah. "Did I say that out loud?" She whispered, Sarah nodding quickly.

"We aren't dating, Valarie! I told you guys so many times," Valarie and Sarah started doing that one gesture where they try and tell me to shut up, but I hadn't listened, now getting angry that they started to think falsely of me and Peter.

"I'm just there to support him for what's happened to him, okay? His Uncle died in front of us and he needs someone to be there for him. And to top that off, we still have yet to finish our god damn project, and it's pissing me off sometimes but you know I could care less! This school is filled with nothing but idiots and teachers who don't even care! And me and Peter have already declared we won't ever be friends, even if I want to because our friendship died a long time-"

"FOR FUCK'S SAKE FELICITY TURN AROUND." Valarie yelled, slamming her books to the ground. I huffed, spinning on my heel, feeling my heart sink to the Earth's core to see Peter. His eyes were glistening with tears threatening to fall as his fists clenched and unclenched. He turned around, sprinting out of the school.

"Peter wait!"  I said, picking up my bag and running out after him. But I was too late. Peter had disappeared, nowhere to be seen.

I felt my heart burst as tears welled up, feeling like an idiot as I grabbed my hair, wanting to rip it out as I sat on the stairs, holding back tears.

"God you're such an IDIOT Felicity." I told myself, throwing a stick. "I wish I could go back in time and just not say anything..." As if on cue, I watched as everything started to play in reverse, watching as Peter appeared, running backwards as the doors behind me swung open, sucking him back in.

I jumped up, returning to my locker to see what happened. I realized what was happening, a wave of relief washing over me.

"Did I just say that out loud?" Valarie said to Sarah again, who was nodding aggressively. I sighed, running a hand through my hair.

"TO be honest with you Valarie." I started, looking at her. "I don't know what me and Peter are. Friends or lab partners, or just two kids who are there for each other. But right now, I don't want to talk about it. I'd rather me and Peter try to figure it out before we tell you anything." I picked up my bag as Valarie and Sarah rushed off, turning to see Peter, who had a small smile on his face. Good job, Felicity.

"Oh, hey Peter." I said, walking up to him. He gave me a small wave as he fiddled with his fingers.

"Felicity, there is something I have to tell you." He said, looking me in the eyes. I smiled, giving him a nervous laugh.

"Well then say it. It's not like I'll judge you any different." Alright MAJOR de ja vu.

"Uh y-yeah... Felicity.. I-I'm-" Sirens blared, both of us turning our heads to see red and blue lights flashing as they sped down the street. "I'm going to go. Yeah that's what I was going to say." Peter said quickly, running off.

"I turned to see him leave, waiting until he was out of sight to sprint the other way, ripping my jacket off as I changed at an ungodly speed, flying out of the high school.

I managed to make it to the scene before Spider-Man, who swung up next to me.

"Hey partner." I said with a smirk.

"H-hey." He said nervously. I turned to face him, confusion in my eyes.

"Why so nervous? Not like we haven't dealt with something like this before." I said.

"O-oh no t-that's not what I meant. It's uh-"

"Aw somebody has girl problems." I said as I floated, clasping my spandex gloved hands together.

"Well... I guess you can say th- HEY LOOK OUT!" Spider-Man tried to shoot a web at the oncoming chunk of the earth heading for me. I yelped, sending an explosion of electricity at the chunk, smashing it into a fine dust.

"I think I just saw my life flash before my eyes." I said, gulping for air as Spider-Man nodded. I fell to the ground as Spider-Man swung down, watching as a man made emerged from the dust.

"Spider-Man and Phantom. I must say, I'm a fan." He said, raising his arms.

"Sorry man, we aren't taking autographs today. Come back next week." Spider-Man said, a snort escaping me.

"I was thinking more of an obituary." The man said as he hurled himself at Spider-Man, throwing punch after punch. I used my telekenetic ability to hurl the man off of Spider-Man, a thud coming from far away.

I felt the ground rumble, watching as the man ran at me, slicing open my bicep with a blade. I yelled, clutching my arm as blood seeped through it.

Yeah, I had been beaten up and received my fair share of bruises and cuts, but I haven't actually been cut by a knife before during an attack. It kind of scared me.

I felt punch after punch from the man, who was far stronger than I thought. I yelled and groaned after each punch, feeling myself grow weaker, along with my confidence in winning this battle. Then out of nowhere, Spider-Man flung himself at the man, pinning him to the ground with his webs.

"The police are on their way. We should get out of here before they show up." Spider-Man said. I nodded, flying up into the air as he disappeared in a different direction.

As soon as I got home, I stripped completely of my clothes. I washed off the blood and dirt, watching the bruises on my stomach disappear quickly. I smiled, thankful that fast healing was one of my abilities, so I wouldn't have to explain where I got all of my bruises and cuts.

I stepped out of the shower, my LED's flashing at an incoming call.

"Incoming call from: Peter Parker." The automated voice boomed.

"Accept." I said, wrapping a towel around my body.

"H-Hey Felicity." Peter said, sounding like he was out of breath.

"Hey Peter. A-are you in a plane?" I said as I heard wind rush around him.

"Uh, you could say that." He said, the wind suddenly stopping. "So I was uh, wondering if I could stop by your place tonight? There is something that I really want to tell y-" He cut off, seeming to be surprised by something. "Ned? Um-"

"YOURE THE SP-" The call was muted as I stared at my phone, putting it against my ear again.

"Peter? Hello?" I said, yelling into the phone.

"Hey listen, I gotta call you back. I'll be at your place in 30." Peter said, hanging up. I frowned again, wondering what Ned had said.

I shrugged off the thought, going to my closet and changing into some silk pink and black vertically striped pajamas. The top was (triangularly?) shaped spaghetti strapped, the dip showing just a little bit of cleavage. The shorts hung just below my butt, the lace ends tickling my thighs.

I slipped on some fuzzy socks, shutting my closet door and walking to my desk, turning on my LED lights, turning on my laptop. I went through YouTube's trending, seeing me and Spider-Man flying and swinging around as we helped people who needed it. It brought a smile to my face to see it.

I turned my head, looking at my suit. Peter would be here soon. I grabbed the suit, shoving it neatly in my hidden closet. Hearing a thud, I turned around, stopping in my tracks to see the friendly neighborhood red and blue hero standing on my balcony, looking out into the New York streets.

I slowly walked to my glass door, opening it slowly, leaning on the frame and crossing my arms.

"Shouldn't a hero like you being out there saving people at this time?" I asked, Spider-Man spinning on his heel, staring at me.

"A-Actually I wanted to talk to you." He said quietly. I moved off the frame, shutting my door and walking onto the balcony.

"Really? Why me? We've never even crossed paths." I said, raising a brow.

"A-actually I think we have." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Really? Are you here to reveal yourself to me?" Spider-Man just stared at me before he slowly nodded his head, taking a step towards me. I gasped quietly, shocked that he was doing this. I slowly stepped closer to Spider-Man, my heart racing.

I put my hands on the back of his neck, lifting up the head piece from his suit. He had finally gotten a more professional one like mine, so I had slightly struggled removing it.

I untucked the mask, slowly lifting it up. Spider-Man's breathing was quick, hitched as I got it to just to the top of his neck. I stopped, hearing the ringtone of the front door bell. I turned my head, sighing before I turned back.

"Looks like I'll find out sometime else. My friend is here." I said as Spider-Man fixed his mask, nodding quickly.

"Y-yeah. Some other time. I'll uh, see you around. Goodbye Felicity." He said, swinging away.

"Goodbye Spider-Man." I said, walking back inside and to the front door.

I opened it to see Peter, a nervous smile on his face. "Hey Felicity." He said, walking in.

"Hey Peter. You said you wanted to tell me something?" I said, tilting my head. Peter nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"I was uh- I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner with me and Aunt May tomorrow night." He asked, giving me a goofy smile. I smiled back, nodding.

"I would like that, a lot." I said, rocking on my heels. "Do you want to watch a movie?" I said, pointing ahead. Peter cleared his throat, nodding quickly.

"Sounds great. You still got that pink lemonade?" He asked. I laughed, nodding as I headed to the kitchen to get the popcorn and drinks.

"Hey Peter! We don't have to watch the movie in the living room. I have a theater in the basement, you know." I said as Peter poked his head around the doorway, his mouth ajar.

"YOU HAVE A THEATER? That's so cool!" He said with a wide smile. I laughed, shrugging.

"We don't really use it. But it has a a full popcorn machine, ice cream machine, and basically anything you can think of in a theater, we have it in the basement." Peter's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Wait if you have a popcorn machine in the basement why do you have one up here?" He asked. I shurgged.

"I don't know, you'd have to ask my parents." I said as I picked everything up, struggling. I dropped Peter's lemonade, but he managed to catch it before it fell.

"Nice catch." I said as we walked to the basement, Peter shrugging. "So, what movie?" I asked as Peter looked around the theater room.

"I've never seen Grease" He said, a smile on my face as I nodded.

"Sounds perfect." I said, pulling out the movie from the film room that contained all the movies we had.

('I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend')

I set the empty popcorn bin down, scooting closer to Peter as we watched the movie. I felt a smile creep across my face as he did the classic yawning move, his hand rapping around my shoulder. I turned to face him, his jawline hitching for a moment, his eyes glistening as the reflection of the movie crossed his eyes.

He turned to me, and for a moment I could see a gleam of hope cross his vision. I smiled at him, feeling myself lean forward slowly as he did. My eyes fluttered close as I felt his breath against my lips, ours mere centimeters away.

The lights flipped on, me and Peter, flying away from each other as my father walked in, a confused look on his face.

"Darling, who is this?" He asked, turning to face me. I smiled, feeling my cheeks burn up as my heart raced.

"H-Hi dad this is uh... This is Peter." Peter shot up as my dad walked over, shaking Peter's hand.

"H-Hi Mr. Dagger. I-It's um. It's nice to meet you." Peter said nervously. I noticed Peter's shirt lift up slightly, revealing a dark purple bruise on his hip. I couldn't help but stare before he fixed his shirt, removing me from my daze.

"Nice to meet you too, Peter. But you can call me Nathan, you don't have to be so polite. And I hope you didn't think of kissing my daughter. Because then I'd have to kill you!" My dad said, laughing. Peter smiled nervously, letting out a just as nervous laugh. If I wasn't as observant, Peter looked like he had Vietnam flashbacks.

"Yeah I um.. I should be going. It was um. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Dagger. Bye Felicity." Peter said, waving me off before running upstairs.

"Dad!" I said, standing up and gently slapping his chest.

"What? I was just being protective!" He said, laughing as he walked away.

"Where's mom?" I asked, looking around.

"Your mother went to bed, worked to hard on our project." He said, walking up the stairs. I sighed, looking down as I followed after my dad to my bedroom.

I shut my door, locking it and fell onto my bed, touching my lips gently, still feeling the hot breath of Peter. I smiled, hugging my pillow tightly as I sat up, watching New York. I fell back onto my bed, shutting my eyes as I quickly fell asleep.

So, a lot is about to happen soon, so get ready for a whirlwind of either emotions such as anger, sadness, or fear or all three. Because since this is going to be all in the eyes of Felicity, you won't get to see anything that happens with Peter if Felicity isn't there! (That should be very bad foreshadowing.)

And since the idea of chapter 8 is still fresh in my mind, I am currently writing it now!
