I shot my eyes open, the annoying blaring of my alarm waking me up. Groaning, I slipped my hand out from under my pillow, slapping my alarm clock. I rubbed my eyes, looking out the window above my bed, sitting up to look at the city below me. There was a knock on the door, turning my head to see Mykie, my maid, walking in with my morning coffee.
"Good morning, Miss Dagger." She said calmly, setting the mug on my white marbled nightstand.
"Good morning, Mykie. Did you sleep well?" I asked, smiling She shrugged, seeming to be shaken.
"Not well, considering I had heard someone broke in last night. I apologize for not being here to protect you" She said, putting her hands behind her back. I shook my head in reassurance, taking her cold, thin hands in mine.
"It's alright, Mykie. You have a family who loves you very much and I assume they don't want anything bad happening to you." I said, starting into her sunken blue eyes.
"Felicity, your parents love you just as much as my family loves me, and there is no doubt about that!" She said, shaking my hands. I sighed.
"If that were true they would be around more often instead of staying cooped up in their lab, working on that stupid project." I said, my eyes widening as I swore under my breath.
"What is it, Felicity?" I shot up, flailing my hands in the air.
"Me and Peter's project! I didn't do anything last night! God dammit now I'll have to double the work tonight and I have two projects already." I ran my hands over my face in frustration, now having the urge to chuck something across my room.
"Miss Dagger, I'm sure you have plenty of time to finish the project." She said, trying to usher me to my closet. I sighed, nodding slowly.
"I'll take care of myself today. I heard it's your sons birthday." I said, smiling. Mykie nodded.
"Sadly I wasn't getting enough money to pay for the gift he wanted." She said quietly. I stared at her for a moment before snapping my fingers, walking to my purse.
"Felicity it's alright, I already got him-" I shook my hand, pulling out a few hundreds.
"You need this money more than I do, Mykie." I said, shoving the money into her hands. "Besides, I can always ask my parents for more." She stood there, dumbfounded for a moment before smiling, bringing me into a hug.
"Thank you, dear. This is very much appreciated." I smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Now go be with your family. I'm pretty sure I won't be home all day." I said, slowly removing my shirt as she walked out, shutting the closet doors, leaving its chandelier light on.
I walked over to one of the shirt dressers, pulling out a grey tank top and one of my leather jackets, putting them on before slipping off my pants, stumbling over to my jeans. I grabbed my ripped ones, struggling to put them on.
"C-come on. God I need to work out more-" I said, buttoning the pants. The led lights in the closet flashed for a moment, a ringing echoing in the closet.
"Incoming call from: Valarie Hix" The automated voice said coldly, exaggerating Valarie's name.
"Accept." I said loudly, hearing the ding of the accept.
"Felicity where are you? I thought we were meeting up at Harry's before heading to school?" She said, causing me to sigh.
"Sorry. I forgot to set an alarm to wake up earlier. I'll just meet with you guys at school." I said, packing my bookbag.
"Were you up all night again?" She said as I furrowed my brows.
"No. Why would I be up?" I shot back, not meaning for it to come out as rude.
"You know.. Thinking about Pettterrr Parkerrr" She said, an echoing laugh coming through the speaker.
"The only thing that I have thought about is how I'm going to get away with killing you. End call." I said quickly, the LED lights turning off as the beep of the phone ended the call. I slipped on my Vans, swinging my bag over my shoulder and grabbed my phone.

I waited for Sarah and Valarie by my locker, shoving a few of my books in it before slamming it shut, jumping when I noticed Peter leaning on the locker next to mine, his arms crossed as he stared at his feet.
"Jesus Parker do you ever learn to not sneak up on a girl?" I said, picking up my bag. He gave me a goofy smile, which made me roll my eyes internally and externally.
"S-Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. Uh about our project. I was, um... I was wondering if you maybe wanted to stop by my place and work on it? I heard that the library was blown up from some type of gun or something." He said quickly, making me hold back a laugh.
"The library? Blew up? Peter if this is some kind of excuse to get me to come to your house-" He pulled out his phone, showing me a picture of the local library. I gasped, seeing that it was indeed blown up, books and papers everywhere. I covered my mouth, looking at him.
"When did it happen?" I asked, now curious.
Peter tucked his phone in his pocket, shrugging. "I think they said somewhere around 9. It uh.. Also said that someone tried to rob your house-" I held up a hand, stopping him mid sentence.
"I really would not like to talk about that. Ugh. Fine yeah I guess I'll meet you at your house. Tell Aunt May to make some cherry pie." I said, stopping myself from smiling. Peter gave another goofy smile, nodding as he walked away.
"Oh, somebody has a date with Peter Parker!" I flipped around, seeing Sarah and Valarie, wide smiles on their faces.
"It's not a date! The library blew up so we are going to do our project at his house." Valarie wiggled her brows while Sarah raised one, smirks on their faces as we followed in Peter's direction, heading to class.
"Just wait, Felicity. Before you know it, you and Peter will be on a bed fu-" I jabbed Sarah's arm hard with my elbow, giving her a death glare as she gasped, holding her bicep as we walked in, Peter already seated and writing down some notes.
"Hey Peter, are you going to Harry's party on Friday?" Valarie asked as Peter looked up from his notes, tapping the end of his pen on the table as he pushed up his glasses, shrugging.
"I-I don't know, that's if I'm not grounded by then." He said as Valarie gave me a side eye. I rolled mine, pulling out my calculus notebook as Mr. Warren walked in, a smile on his face.
"Someone seems happy today." I turned my head, my eyes catching Barry's. We smiled at each other before he winked, looking back at Mr. Warren, who nodded.
"Happier than usual, Mr. Allen. The field trip has been moved to tomorrow!" I internally pumped my fist in the air, hearing the groans of Valarie and Sarah as Peter smiled widely, seeming just as excited as I was for the trip.
"Wait tomorrow? I-I can't-" Barry said, Mr. Warren cutting him off.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Allen, but this field trip is mandatory. You'll have to wait until next month to see your father." I turned to Barry, who had his fists clenched in anger and sadness as he looked at his desk.
"Maybe if your dad wasn't a psychotic murderous creep then-" Flash started, Barry snapping his head up to stare at him.
"My dad didn't kill anyone!" Barry yelled, pointing at Flash. His friend, Cisco Ramon, leaned over, putting a hand on his shoulder as Flash made a snotty remark.
"That's enough, you two." Mr. Warren said. Barry looked at me as I tried my best to give him a genuine smile to make him feel better. But instead, he slumped in his desk, rubbing his hand over his face.
"Now, back to academic problems. Your test results came back quite well, some aced it with a perfect 100." He said, giving me and Peter a smile. "Others, failed terribly but I won't give names." He said, looking at Eugene, who sighed as Mr. Warren handed back our tests.
"Now whose up for some of the 4 concepts of calculus?" Mr. Warren said, slapping his hands together.

Before I knew it, school was over. I set my bags down in my locker as Sarah and Valarie where gossiping about some new kid that challenged Flash in a fight yesterday.
"You guys talking about me?" I turned around, staring up at Harry, who had a wide smile on his face, his hands tucked in his pockets. My eyes widened as I smiled, bringing him into a hug before playfully slapping him.
"When were you going to tell us that you transferred here?" Sarah said, hugging Harry.
"Well, I thought surprising 3 of my 4 friends would be fun."
"Three of four? Who on earth is the fourth friend?" I asked, a tap on my shoulder.
"That would be me." Peter said with an awkward smile and laugh. I sighed, frowning.
"Of course it is." I mumbled, fixing my posture, turning back to my friends. "Well, me and Peter are going to go work on our project. I'll talk to you guys tonight." I said, waving them off. They all waved back and left, leaving me alone with Peter.

"Well if it isn't Felicity Dagger!" Ben Parker said, a smile crossing my face as he embraced me with a hug. "God how long has it been?" He asked, tilting his head.
"I'd say a solid eight or nine years." Aunt May said, walking up next to her husband. I smiled lightly, her smile causing me to smile more.
"Hi, Aunt May." I said, giving her a hug. I inhaled through my nose, smelling the fresh scent of cherry pie.
"Me and Felicity are going to be working on our project, she won't be here long." Peter butted in, my head turning to face him. He glanced at me for a moment, Uncle Ben sighing in response.
"Oh alright. I'll bring you two some pie in a few minutes." Aunt May said as we nodded, heading down the short hallway to his bedroom. He opened the door, allowing me to walk in first. I took in the small room, questioning why he had a bunk bed when he was an only child.
I turned my head, walking over to all the old computers. "What is all of this?" I asked, picking up a software device. He snatched it out of my hand, shrugging.
"Just.. Just something I've been working on." He said as I nodded, glancing back down at the tools and devices.
"Do you mind?" I said, pointing at the bed. Peter shook his head as I set my bag down, pulling out all my notes and spreading them across the bed, sitting down on it.
A knock sounded at the door. "Come in." Peter said, Aunt May walking in with two plates of cherry pie, a smile spreading across all of our faces.
"You don't want pie, do you?" She said, my eyes widening.
"May, that's a question you should never ask us." Peter said, taking the plates. I coughed out a small laugh, gently taking the plate from him.
"Thanks Aunt May. I haven't had your pie in so long." I said, grabbing the fork and taking a bite of the pie, a waft of it's smell consuming my nose as it's taste coated my tongue. I smiled, closing my eyes for a moment, hearing the door close.
"So, you already had your sections of the project done?" I asked, pointing at Peter with the fork. He nodded as he ate the pie, shoving his face full of it. He got a bit of it on his cheek, causing me to smile, holding back a laugh.
"Hey Peter. You uh, you got a little cherry on your cheek." I said, pointing at his face. He wiped his face on the wrong side, my eyes squinting as I held back a laugh, shaking my head.
I had forgotten what it was like to be his friend. I would come to his house some nights before the science fair, and we would shove our face full of Aunt May's desserts, laughing as we got a sugar rush. To me, it was a simpler time, where I had a crush on him, where I was his friend.
And then he laughed in my face when he won the science fair. It hurt me so much that I ignored him for so long I hated him. He caught on to the idea I didn't like him anymore, and we had rarely spoken since.
"Felicity?" He said, snapping me out of my memories. I almost dropped the pie, setting it down on the nightstand.
"Huh? Sorry, zoned out." He nodded, setting his empty plate down.
"Do you uh, want to listen to some music while we work?" He asked, and I nodded as he pulled out a disk, putting it in his radio. 'Sunflower' started playing, my face lighting up.
"Oh I love this song." I said quietly as I pulled out my notes, hearing a nervous laugh escape Peter.

"No, e have to write the actual description of quantum mechanics." I said, not having to pull out a dictionary since I had memorized the definition.
"Quantum Mechanics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the mathematical description of the motion and interaction of subatomic particles, incorporating the concepts of quantization of energy, wave-particle duality, the uncertainty principle, and the correspondence principle." I said, taking in a breath of air.
Peter just stared at me, his pen slightly hovering over the paper on his desk. "What?" I asked, looking at him.
"You memorized all of that?" I nodded, his mouth parting and practically dropping to the ground. He slowly turned around, writing what I had just said down. I picked up my chemistry book, my eyes darting around as I read.
"Hey Felicity." Me and Peter jumped, looking at the door to see Aunt May standing there, leaning on the frame.
"Will you be staying for dinner?" She asked, tilting her head. I looked at Peter' alarm clock, my eyes widening as I looked at the time.
"Oh my god. I'm sorry but no, I can't. I have to get home before it gets dark." I said, quickly packing up. Aunt May looked a little sad, and I felt bad, but knew I would probably be here again.
"Well, I hope to see you again." She said as I nodded.
"It was so good seeing you again, Aunt May." I said, giving her a hug.
"You too, Uncle Ben." I said as he appeared behind May, giving me a side hug. I waved goodbye to Peter, who just stared at me, giving me a side smile before I walked out of their apartment, practically running home.

I shut the door, taking in sharp breaths as I dropped my bag, dragging it up to my bedroom. I had probably ran for a good hour or two, questioning why I didn't just take a taxi.
"LED" I said loudly, my led lights turning on, a peachy color coating the bedroom as I shut the door, setting my bag on my chair.
I flopped onto my bed, grabbing my stuffed elephant, crawling over my bed so I sat on the bay window next to it, watching as the lights of New York turned on and off below me. My phone buzzed, and I didn't bother looking at the caller ID as I answered it.
"Hello?" I said, slightly out of breath. I heard yelling through the phone, a shaky breath coming from the owner.
"H-Hi, Felicity." Peter said, my eyes widening.
"Peter? How did you get my number?" I said, sitting up straighter.
"W-well you uh, you know Harry." I groaned, feeling stupid for not realizing Harry would do something like that.
"What do you want?" I said, sounding particularly annoyed without intending to.
"Um, May and Ben are getting into an argument, and it's pretty bad... Could uh. I mean, do you mind if I stop by your place for just a little bit? Harry said he has a girl over and I don't want to bother him. I-I understand if you say no-"
"If I say yes will you stop rambling?" I butted in, a sigh of relief coming through the phone.
"T-Thank you. I'll be over in a little bit." Peter said, quickly hanging up. I looked at my phone in confusion.
Why, of all people, did he call me? He has other friends like Ned, but why me?

Peter was over in less than 30 minutes, a knock echoing from the front of the house to the kitchen. I walked to the front door, peering through the large window next to it before opening the door, greeting a cold Peter Parker.
"Jesus, Parker. You're shivering." I said, feeling a cold gust of wind hit my skin. I let him in, locking the door.
"I-I'm fine, really." He said, putting on a fake smile. I frowned, forcing him to follow me to the fireplace. I turned it on, watching as Peter sighed quietly, sitting down in front of the fireplace. I sighed myself. Leaning forward slightly.
"Do you want anything? I got to much food for my own good, and drinks that can fill the ocean." I said, a small chuckle leaving Peter as he looked up at me with tired eyes.
"Do you have any pink lemonade?" He asked. I smiled thinking for a moment.
"I'll see if we have any." I said, walking into the kitchen, opening the fridge to find exactly that: Pink Lemonade. I smiled, grabbing it along with a tall glass, pouring it in. I put the lemonade back in the fridge, walking back to the front room to see Peter on the couch, huddled in a blanket.
"Here." I said gently, giving him the cup. He smiled, taking a sip of his drink. "You want to watch a movie?" I asked, picking up my remote. Peter nodded, setting his glass down on the table as I sat down next to him, keeping some space between us.
"Hey look! The Empire Strikes Back!" He said, pointing to the Star Wars movie on my watch later list. I turned to him, raising an eyebrow. "Wait, you like Star Wars?" He asked, turning to look at me.
"I mean... Yeah. It's actually way more scientifically possible than most people think, even though it's technology and features is way more advanced than ours." I said, shrugging as Peter smiled. "You want to watch it? I haven't seen this movie in forever. I can go make us some popcorn." He nodded as I stood up, walking back to the kitchen and to the popcorn machine. I grabbed a large popcorn bucket, filling it up with new popcorn.
"You want butter in it, Peter?" I yelled from the kitchen.
"Yeah, sure." He yelled back as I melted butter in the microwave, dumping it on the popcorn. I gave it a good shake before grabbing a root beer for me, walking back to the living room. I snapped the cap off the bottle, taking a sip before setting it on the table, sitting down next to Peter, the gap slightly smaller than last time.
I shoved the popcorn between us as he pressed the play button, the iconic beginning of Star Wars.
I hadn't realized until halfway through the movie that we had finished the popcorn quickly, and I was now sitting close enough to Peter that our thighs were touching. I was slowly growing tired, feeling myself lean closer to him, our shoulders now touching as I rested my head on his shoulder.
Peter tensed up slightly before he relaxed. I shut my eyes, drowning out the movie as I listened to his steady breathing, which was much more relaxing than I thought it would be, as it put me to sleep quickly.
***
I woke up a few hours later to a blanket on me, the tv off, mess having been put away, and a missing Peter. I shrugged off the worry, knowing he had gone home by the text on my phone.
I folded the blanket, slouching as I crawled to my bedroom, curling up on my bed, falling asleep once more.
***
I realize that I might be rushing their relationship, but tbh I like when things are rushed, and they were friends at one point so her opinions towards peter could change quickly. Anyway hope you enjoyed this chapter, its almost 3,500 words, and took me an hour to write. but its worth it.
If you need me, I'll be rewatching every Marvel movie.
