So, I live in a small town,not far from a campsite which is basically a tourist magnet in our town due to the mysterious events that have occurred there. It was one that seemed to stand out for me. I remember when I first picked up the newspaper as my jaw dropped open from the headline. In bold, were the words "Mysterious voice terrorizes locals near campsite". This was the first I've hear of something mysterious happening OUTSIDE of the campsite. Now is this wasn't the only thing, I quickly realized it was my neighbor, Mrs. Oakley that had been terrorized. She lived in this neighborhood longer than I have and knew the town like the back of her hand. I quickly sprinted to her house soon after reading the article. I can hear her frail attempt to open the door knob before she finally managed to yank it open. I calmly questioned her and made sure she was okay. She declared she was fine and shooed me away. As I was walking back to my house, I quickly realized how different she was acting. Her body language seemed panicked and frightened. I ignored it and boy, was that a big mistake.

A few hours later I heard a frail knock at my window. I peeked up to see nothing. Alarmed, I drifted back to sleep while keeping a careful eye on my window. The same knock woke me soon after at about 3:00 am. This knock was followed by a voice. My eyes widened with fear as I comprehended what the low-pitched voice had just said. " I know you hear me....". I quickly reached for the phone in an attempt to call the police. As soon as I pushed the first digit, my front door creaked open. I was now consumed in fear and could barley turn my head to see a short, hunched over figure. To scared to run away, I used the light of my phone to get an angle on the creature. It was completely hairless, with teeth shaped like broken shards of glass. The creature was completely covered in a thick layer of blood with tubes, which looked extremely similar to mutilated intestines hanging down to its falcon-like clawed feet. I stood frozen for a split second before I managed to dive into the bathroom and lock the door. I took refuge in the bathtub until the clawing stopped at the door. I froze in terror, as horrible thoughts began to fill my head. I blacked out.

I awoke the next day to find myself in my front yard. I was covered in claw marks and dried blood. Terrified, I sprinted away from my home to find Mrs. Oakley's mutilated corpse on her front porch. I let out a shriek of terror when I first saw her, but passed out after I saw her eyes were scraped out of the bloodied sockets. When I awake again, I noticed a note by my hand. It read,"Eye see you".
