Quirkless
Ituko
The same day...
|~|
"See ya after school Kid," Dad ruffled my hair, and I smiled up at him. He smiled back, and got in the car, driving away. I turned around and went inside of the school. It was the same school he and Papa had gone too, and that Onēchan had just graduated from.
"Ituko!" I turned, and smiled at Choyaku, or Cho as the class calls him. He runs over and stops next to me, "Come on! Class is starting soon!"
"Right!" I ran inside with him, and we went to our classroom. Our teacher was an old man, who wasn't very strict.
"Bakugo." I flinched, and looked up at the female classmate. Her name was Niji Kasai, and her quirk is called "Rainbow Dragon". She has dragon wings, tail, and horns that are all multicolored. She can fly, breathe fire, and lots of other cool things. Her mother is a pro hero too. Oh, and she's the class president. Not sure how that happened when she doesn't have any friends, nor does she bother to make any.
Despite all that though, she doesn't seem to care about becoming a hero. She doesn't make fun of me for being quirkless though, so I guess that's a plus.
"Hey Kasai..." I mumbled.
"Hey Kasai! How are ya?!" Choyaku grinned, patting her on the back. She pushed him off, and looked down at me.
"Did you finish your homework?"
I flinched again. My homework was due today. It was finished... but I forgot it.
"Yeah... but I forgot it..."
She sighed, shaking her head.
"Hopefully you'll bring it tomorrow then."
I nodded, sighing.
Class started, and the teacher faced everyone.
"Class, today we have a transfer student joining us. They came all the way from Canada, so be nice."
Choyaku and I perked up with interest. The only person who could be considered a transfer student is Niji, because she's partially Chinese, so this was interesting.
"Everyone, meet Adrian Terrast."
A fairly tall blond boy entered the room. He had blond hair, and spiky ginger bangs. His left eye was magenta, and his right was red.
"Hiya! I'm Adrian! It's nice to meet everyone!"
Everyone stared at him in confusion, aside from me, Niji, and Choyaku.
He was speaking English.
"Adrian, I'm the only one who speaks English." Niji sighed in English.
"I speak English, Papa taught me." I said, glancing between her and Adrian.
"So do I!" Choyaku exclaimed.
"What the hell are you guys saying?!" One of my classmates exclaimed.
"Of course the quirkless loser is a nerd..." another grumbled.
"Oh, sorry! I'm not very fluent in Japanese..." Adrian admitted, speaking Japanese now, "I'm Adrian! It's nice to meet you all!"
"Is there anything you'd like to tell us about yourself Adrian? Like your quirk, or why you moved here?"
"My quirk... I don't have one!" He exclaimed cheerfully, "I'm quirkless! As for why I moved here... well, my parents are visiting some friends, and didn't want me and my sister missing out on our studies, so I was put here, and she transferred into the General Studies course at UA!"
"Another quirkless loser?!" Someone exclaimed, "Geez, how many of you are there?!"
"Hey! Ituko isn't a loser! He works harder then all of you combined!" Choyaku exclaimed.
"Just because your parents are heroes doesn't mean your better then us!" Someone else snapped. I shrunk back in my seat, knowing another argument was about to break out.
"Choyaku, just leave it..." I mumbled. He didn't hear me, as he was too busy arguing with our classmates.
The teacher sighed, and pointed Adrian to the desk beside me. He came over.
"Geez, is this class always like this?" He asked me.
"Yep... my parents are the number one and number two heroes, which just makes me being quirkless so much harder..." I sighed.
"Oh, so you're quirkless too? That's cool, I was worried I would be the only one. What's your name?"
"Ituko, Ituko Bakugo." I replied.
"Bakugo?... Oh! I know you! Your parents are the friends mine are visiting!" He exclaimed.
"Oh really? Cool!" I smiled, "Guess we'll being seeing a lot more of each other then."
"Yeah! Awesome! You'll get to meet my sister too!" He grinned, "She's awesome! You'll like her for sure!"
"And you'll get to meet my sister!" I grinned, "She's in the hero course at UA, I'm sure you'll get along with her!"
Once the argument had finished, class continued. When it was over, we left.
"Hey Kid!" I ran over and hugged Dad, and he picked me up.
"How was school?"
"It was fun! We had a transfer student, and I made a friend!"
"That's awesome! Now get in, I was asked to pick up another kid for a friend." He said. I nodded, climbing into the car. Onēchan was there already, along with an older blonde girl. The other girl was taller, and had blonde twin tails that faded into ginger at the ends. She wore a UA uniform, and the air was tense and awkward. Kaeru was in front middle seat.
"Hey Onēchan!" I smiled, climbing in next to Ketzuka.
"Hey Otoko." She smiled, ruffling my hair. I don't know why, but she seemed tired. I wondered if something had happened.
There was a woman in the front seat next to Kaeru, with long black hair, that covered her left eye. She glanced back, and nodded at me.
"Who?..." I glanced at my sister.
"Dunno, one of Dad and Papa's friends." She shrugged.
The door opened again, and Adrian climbed in.
"Hey Adrian!" I grinned, waving at him.
"Ituko! Hey!" He grinned back, and we high fived. Choyaku climbed in after him.
"Choyaku!" I smiled, high fiving him too. They both climbed into the back.
"Hey Kari!" Adrian sat down next to the blonde girl.
"Rian." She nodded at him, "How was your day?"
"Awesome! Hey Mama!" He waved at the raven haired woman in the front.
"Hey Adrian..." she smiled at him softly.
"Hey, Choyaku! Ituko! This is my older sister Karina!" He put his arm around her, and she pushed it off.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Ituko Bakugo!" I smiled at her.
"Choyaku Asui! It's a pleasure to meet you!" Choyaku smiled as well.
"Pleasure is mine," Karina replied, nodding. Then she went back to staring out the window.
"Everyone mad introductions? Great, let's go." Dad got back in, and started to drive.
"Hey Onēchan, is something wrong?" I asked, as she seemed tired and stressed.
"Huh? Oh, no I'm fine... it's just been a long day."
"You want to talk about it?"
"No, don't worry about it."
After a couple minutes we arrived at the house. It was like a party inside. Papa, Ochaco, Tsuyu, a blonde girl, a boy with wolf ears and a tail, and a girl with long ginger hair were inside, along with...
"Grandpa!" I smiled and ram over to my grandfather, jumping on him and hugging him.
"Oh! Ituko! It's great to see you again my boy!" He smiled, hugging back. Ketzuka joined me in the hug.
Everything got sorted, and everyone was introduced. It turns out that the raven haired girl is Pearl Terrilynn, and her sister Ellie is the blonde girl. The ginger haired woman is Ashley Toast, Pearl's wife. Pearl and Ashley are Adrian and Karina's parents. The boy with wolf features is Koki, Ellie's boyfriend. They were all visiting to help our parents with something that had happened.
"Alright, why don't you all go outside and do something?" Papa finally suggested, "Ketzuka, Kaeru, I know you've both had a long day, but we have matters to discuss as heroes."
There was a little protest, but in the end we all ended up in the backyard.
"So... what do you want to do?" Kaeru asked.
"Uh... train?" Choyaku suggested.
"Hah! No thank you. Sorry, but I think Kaechan and I have had enough training for today." Onēchan replied. We all nodded.
"Hey look! It's the two quirkless losers from our class!" Someone yelled. Everyone, aside from Karina and Adrian, groaned.
"Don't call my brother a loser!" Ketzuka yelled.
"Bakugo, and... Terrast, right? Hah! Perfect, the two class losers and their friend Asui!" The group ignored Ketzuka, and I sighed.
They continued to jab insults at me and finally Adrian seemed to have had enough.
"Oh my god, shut up! Yeah, sure we don't have quirks, so what?! Jesus Christ, this never happens in Canada..." He sighed.
"It's happened before in Canada," Karina told him, "just not to you."
"Make us!" One of the bullies retorted.
A knife sprouted in the ground at his feet, followed by a sword in front of the guy next to him, and a dagger by the third guy.
"Gladly." Ketzuka growled, standing. Her sword was in her hand.
They held a staring contest, before the three of them stormed away grumbling.
Ketzuka summoned the blades back, and they fell next to her in a pile as she sat down, sighing.
"Blade quirk?" Karina questioned. She nodded.
"I can summon any blade within 100 miles if myself," she explained, "I always carry some with me just in case."
"Interesting."
"Ooh! Can I use one?!" Adrian asked excitedly. Ketzuka nodded, and he picked up the knife.
"Kari, come on! Let's spar!"
"Alright." Karina stood up, drawing a pocket knife from her pocket. She flipped it open.
"Ketzuka why are there knives missing from the knife block?" Papa came outside.
"I was scaring some bullies away, they were bothering Ituko and Adrian." She replied.
"As long as you don't actually hurt anyone. What are Karina and Adrian doing?"
"Getting ready to spar."
He called inside about it.
"As long as they don't hospitalize each other!" Ashley yelled back.
Papa nodded, and then went inside.
Karina and Adrian started to spar, and I was kind of amazed. I didn't know what Karina's quirk was, but it didn't matter. She and Adrian were amazing fighters.
"Sparring again?" I looked at the fence, and saw Niji.
"Kasai?" I asked.
"Bakugo." She nodded at me.
"Niji, who- Karina? Adrian?"
The two stopped and turned.
"Yula?"
A woman stood next to Niji. The woman had teal and pink hair with green bangs, contrast to Niji's black and pink hair with dark blue bangs. Her left eye was white with a black pupil and her right eye was black with a white pupil. She must have been Niji's mother.
"It is you! Where are your parents?!" The woman asked. Karina and Adrian stopped sparring, and pointed inside. Kaeru went in to tell them about Niji and her mother.
Moments later, Ellie came outside, and jumped over the fence onto Niji's mother.
"YULA!" She exclaimed happily, hugging the woman.
"Ellie!"
Pearl, Ashley, and Koki came out. Koki's tail was wagging.
"Yula, what a surprise." Pearl smiled, as Ellie climbed off of Yula.
"If your here, then where's-"
"Yula! Oh my god, what happened, who-" Ashley was cut off by a man wearing a dark blue hoodie with the hood up. He helped Yula stand, and then stared at them, taking his hood off.
"ACE!" Ellie jumped on him afterward.
"Ellie! Stop jumping on people!" Pearl exclaimed.
"Oh for..." Ashley facepalmed, as Koki pulled Ellie off.
"It's getting late..." Niji mumbled.
"Your right," Yula sighed, "aww man, are you guys staying here?"
"No we're in a hotel across the street." Ashley replied.
"Kaeru! Choyaku! Time to go!" Ochaco called. They said goodbye and left.
"We should go too. I believe tomorrow is a Saturday, so we'll come back tomorrow." Pearl said. Papa nodded.
"Hey! Yula! You wanna come over to?!" Ellie asked suddenly. Pearl whacked her.
"Ellie! You can't just invite people over, this isn't even our house!" She exclaimed.
"Ow! Okay, okay I'm sorry! I just thought maybe they can help too..." Ellie sighed, rubbing the spot where Pearl had hit her.
"Help with what?" Ace asked suspiciously.
"...Are you a hero? We're meeting at Shoto's agency tomorrow." Dad said. Yula smiled, and saluted.
"Pro Hero Palette, reporting for duty! I work for that agency too, Ace and I will be there tomorrow." She replied.
"Are you a hero?" Dad asked Ace.
"Nah, just a normal guy. I do come by to visit sometimes though." Ace smiled, "I'm pretty good at keeping secrets too, so don't worry if whatever business your discussing is private."
"Alright, see you then I suppose." Papa said.
"We should get going," Ashley sighed, "see you all tomorrow."
The Terrast's, Ellie, and Koki left.
"See you on Monday," Niji said, as her and her parents left.
"Now, you two need to go to bed." Papa said, patting me and Onēchan on the back. We both nodded and said goodnight to him, Dad, and Granpa.
Then we went to bed.

~Just to clarify, some of these OCs are not mine. In order of appearance, Adrian, Ashley, Koki, and Ace do not belong to me. They belong to my friend on Amino. I take absolutely no credit for them.
