Once upon a time, there were two spirits.

One was named "Love." It watched over the earth, making sure that the creatures of Earth loved each other and lived in peace and harmony. He was a supporter of monogamy in humans.

However, his little brother, Lust, had other views. He believed that all beings should be free to sleep with whoever they wanted, whenever they wanted. He believed in a world run by sexual favors and adultery. 

One day, the two got into a heated argument about how the earth should be ruled. 

"I think all creatures should practice monogamy," said Love. "Without it, there would be chaos!"

"I think your ways are outdated," retorted Lust. "This is a new era, brother. We can change the world, and it should start by throwing out monogamy and practicing polygamy!"

The two got into an argument until finally, Love banished Lust to the underworld for his views. 

However, Lust came back.

In his short time in the underworld, he plotted against his brother. On the evening of February 14th, he would stab his brother in the heart and eat it.

So he waited...

and waited....

and waited....

...until February 14th. 

He crept back to Earth. He found his brother sitting on a cloud, watching humanity and all the other creatures of the earth from afar. Just before Lust could pounce, Love saw him and jumped out of the way. Lust fell to the earth, being absorbed into the earth's crust. What happened to him next? No one knows.

However, it is suspected that Lust is among us, lurking in the shadows, and nipping at our necks, waiting for his opportunity to tear our hearts out.
