Adam and Laticia were waiting outside the cabin of the doctor. Jennifer was being tested by a nurse while the doctor was examining the baby.

Adam was not talking to Laticia and she felt heavy about it. Hence she sat next to him.

"Are you still mad?" She asked.

"Maybe. But with time everything will fall to its place." Adam said.

"Okay." Laticia replied.

"You know? Crystalina was not bad. Even in her planet, she never planned to kill us. Instead, she believed in us. She may be an alien, but she has the emotions of a human. She understands feelings. Jennifer pleaded to her and she understood her pain. Seeing the plight of Jennifer, her anger faded and she handed back to us our baby. She was not evil. We humans are!" Adam said as he held his breathe.

Laticia bowed her head down with shame. She felt guilty for killing her.

"I'm sorry." She muttered.

Adam looked at her and noticed the guilt on her face. He held her hands.

"It's fine. It's over now. Let's move on." He said with a smile.

Adam then put his hand in his pocket and took out a piece of crystal. Laticia stared at it with wide eyes.

"I took it from the ones I collected. I will make a chain for my baby with it." Adam said.

Laticia smiled at him.

In the meantime, Jennifer came out with the doctor.

Adam and Laticia got up.

"Mr Adam, you're wife is perfectly fine. She just need to take rest. But, your baby...." the doctor paused.

Adam felt a chill down his spines. Fear filled his mind.

"What happened to her doc?" He asked as he started to sweat.

"A miracle happened to her. Come and see it yourself." The doctor replied.

They all rushed into the cabin. The baby was lying on a bad and was under the surveillance of a nurse. She looked fine. She was smiling.

"What happened doctor?" Adam asked with confusion.

"Go and see her hands." The doctor said.

Adma walked towards her and grabbed her hands. Her hands were normal, but, when he looked at the back of her hands, Adam was astounded.

The nails of his baby was not the same as human nails. They were hard and shiny. They were crystals. Crystals were growing out her fingers instead of normal nails.

"Wow!" Laticia led out as she was amazed by what she saw.

"Oh God! Is it a danger to her?" Jennifer asked.

"Not particularly. But when her nails grow longer you will have to bring her here. We will require professionals to cut them." The doctor explained.

"This is outstanding!" Adam said, still in amazement.

"Your baby is healthy mr Adam." The doctor affirmed.

Adam lifted his baby. She was smiling widely at her father.

"Thank you doctor." Adam said and nodded.

Jennifer had a worrying look on her face.

"But doctor, are you sure this is not going to affect her when she grows up?" She asked.

"Do not worry. She will get adapted to it and you will have to help her. Just bring her everytime to cut them off when they get longer. Otherwise, she might hurt herself." The doctor explained well.

Jennifer nodded.

Crystalina had left her remembrance with Adam and Jennifer before she left forever. And that remembrance was in the form of their daughter's nails.

As they were walking out of the hospital, Jennifer looked closely at the nails of her baby and smiled.

Adam noticed her pretty smile and his heart felt light. After so long, he saw Jennifer smiling.

He stopped walking and stared at his wife.

"What happened?" Jennifer asked.

"I'm so sorry for all the bad things I've done. I know you are hurt but I promise, I will not do anything that will cause you pain in the future. I will give my best to you and our daughter." Adam said.

"I trust you Adam. Let's bury the past." Jennifer replied as she blinked at him.

Adam felt relieved. They continued to walk but Jennifer suddenly stopped. She called out Adam's name. He turned and looked at her confusingly, wondering what was going on her mind. Jennifer walked closer to him.

"We will name her Crystelle." Jennifer said.

Adam looked at her and smiled.

"As you wish. Crystelle is a pretty name." He answered and then led out a laugh.

The little family them headed back home with the vision of starting a new life with a new member.

A new member who was blessed with extraterrestrial nails, a member whom they named Crystelle.
