Welcome the rant #1. Please keep in mind that these are my personal opinions. If you disagree you're more than welcome to politely state your opinion but kindly do not criticize me.

As I have a habit of thanking every person who follows me (or pretty much does anything for me), as usual, I did that today too.

Then I recieved a message of them asking me to follow them back too.

Here comes the lecture which most of us on wattpad, tired of people following only for the sake of increasing their own number, give in our own minds (at least mostly) because, let's be honest, we cannot deal with them. Or atleast that's what I do.

I just ignore the text.

No wait, I check out their profile, if I see any books that I may like written by them, I follow back. Because why not? This is a platform for readers and writers, showing support is always appreciated. If I don't see anything that interests me, then I tend to ignore.

So I did the same with this person . . . zero works.

But okay, writers are not the only ones that matter, readers are, if not greater, equally valued.

I don't know if this seems self obsessed but I value my readers so much that I always love to talk to them or return the favour when I can, sometimes I fail, but I try.

But no, all this person wanted was a "follow back".

As much as I prefer to just ignore, idk I was having a shitty day and I had an excellent reply in mind. So this is how the convo went:

Istg that "You won't understand" killed me. I didn't know wether to scoff or laugh.

Everyone has these "follow back" encounters at least once I bet. What was yours?
