Animale High School, a supposed ordinary high school, but is unknowingly a school for heroes in the future, and one, Anabel Smith, a 14 year old girl attending the school, she's not that much of a student, not cool like Max, not sleepy like Pepper, not into her studies like Hannah, not sporty like Alexa, and not musically talented like Oliver. During one day in the school, there was one thing going around through the school, a story about a museum robbery. "Did you hear about the museum?" A student asked another. "Yeah, that Black Cat character robbed it," another replied. Anabel had been listening into their conversations, wanting to join in, but had nothing to contribute to the conversation, cutting herself off before even talking. The teenage girl walked to class as school was about to begin, everyone moving out of the way as three popular girls were being carried throughout the halls. "Here the come!!!! It's Susie McCallister, Alice Fefferman and Betsy Coleman!!!!" Everyone cheered, praising the three. "Thank you, thank you for your endless praise," the leader and most popular of the group, Susie, told them. The black haired girl tried getting through everyone, but bumped into the students carrying the three, dropping them. Everyone gasped in shock, assuming they would be angry. "Back up everyone, I'd like to talk to Anabel alone please," the pink haired girl told everyone in school as they backed up.
Once the two were alone, with only a few minutes left until class started, they decided to talk. "Look Anabel, I know it's hard fitting in when you're a freshmen, I felt the same way, and for good luck, take this," she handed a grey bracelet to the 14 year old girl. "Its very special, my mum gave it to me when I was little, she told me to give it to someone special," Susie explained. "Thanks Susie, I'm honored," the teen whispered.
After school, Susie was chatting with Betsy about the bracelet she gave to Anabel. "Look, I thought it was a nice gesture ok," she said. "I know, but the koala bear extraore was hard to find wasn't it? You stole it from the museum as Black Cat," her friend replied. "Ugh!!!! Can't you accept that I wanna do something nice for the awkward one for once!!!!" The pink haired teen yelled. "Fine, but if it bites you in the butt, don't come crawling to me when you need help," Betsy told her as her dad arrived in his big and expensive car, and the same with Susie. When Anabel's parents showed up to pick her up, they were rich, but not as rich as Susie, Alice and Betsy's families. "So? How'd it go?" Her mother asked. "It went great mom, the popular girl Susie gave me a bracelet," they began to drive off home.
Later, during the afternoon, Anabel looked at the bracelet and put it on to awaken a tiny koala bear creature. "Hello extraore wearer, I am Alla, your assistant Koann," it said. "N-nice to m-meet you," Anabel stuttered. "Its ok, I can help you," it replied. The tiny creature tapped the bracelet' s center and Anabel began to transform into a hybrid of a koala and a superhero. "What was that?" Anabel asked. "A transformation, you are now Koala Bear, protector of your home, and cutest superhero ever," the tiny creature explained. "I hope nobody can see me like this," the teen girl sighed. "Anabel!!! I'm home!!!!!" A voice came from all the way downstairs. "Oh no, it's my dad, I gotta undo this," she panicked, hiding in her bedroom closet. "Anabel, it's fine," Alla tapped the bracelet, reverting her friend back to her human form. "Thanks a lot Alla," she replied. The two looked out the house window and saw the city, beautifully lit at night. Anabel yawned, looking at the stars in the sky.
