Wu sat in the center of his room, focusing on the peace of his mind. But his mind always seemed to trail back to the girl. She appeared to be very young, yet, she was able to best his ninja. Not that they were anywhere near their full potential, but that just made him concerned for the girl. The way she presented herself made it seem she had years of experience.

Sure, in their youth, she would be the ideal warrior. Strong, strategic, stealthy. But in this new day of age, it was wrong to put a child through that. It was no longer an honorable thing. Did his brother steal a child from her home?

But something about this girl was special, something his brother saw that he did not. Who was she, where was she from, does she even belong to this realm? So many questions being left unanswered.

Wu opened his eyes, hearing his students making grunted noises. It sounded as if they were training, which caught him by surprise. He was lucky enough to have such devoted students.

Making his way to the training course, he opened the doors, only to reveal how empty it was. Disappointing. Yet, he couldn't say he was all too surprised. Their yelling persisted, the Sensei continuing to follow their voices into what they called: Gaming Room.

An annoyed sigh left him, walking over to unplug the cord.

Once the tv shut down, all four groaned in annoyance. "That took us three hours to get to that part!" Cole complained. "Why would you do that?! Why?!"

"Just because Lord Garmadon escaped through a vortex, doesn't give you the excuse to be lazy!" The master scolded.

The ninja stayed in silence, looking at one another before Zane answered. "Sensei, there has not been any sightings of Lord Garmadon since his escape, Ninjago has been peaceful." "Yeah! And peace is boring." Jay added.

Wu shook his head, pointing his staff at the four, which caused them to flinch in fear of getting bonked. "No matter the occasion, you should always look to sharpen your skills, not lay around playing on a screen." The ninja only groaned again. "Why not go looking for battles, go searching to help those in need, Garmadon's pupil is still out there, why not look for her?"

Wu wasn't sure if she was searching for something, that was most likely the case, she would have stayed with Garmadon if that wasn't. "You still on about this girl thing, I'm pretty sure he's a guy." Cole responded. "Also, where would we go looking for him?"

Kai only rolled his eyes, plugging the cord back into the wall. "Who cares, probably dying in a ditch or something." He hissed. "And if not, we'll go looking for him tomorrow."

"Never put off tomorrow what can be done today." Wu advised.

Nya ran into the room, barely able to catch her breath. "G-Garmadon was spotted in Jamanakai village." The ninja all stood up, tripping over each other.

Wu shook his head, letting out a sigh. He had such lazy students.

___

The sun had passed the sky about twenty times and no sign of her Lord's son. With every passing day, her nervousness grew. She was never given an estimated time to find him, which made her more impatient in her search. And again, asking for help from the villagers did nothing.

She let out a sigh, leaning against the wall. She glared at the photo, annoyed she wasn't able to find him.

(Y/n) Felt the photo get snatched out of her hand. "You look a little too young to be having kids." A man said, crumbling the photo after getting a good look at it. "How much ya willing to pay to find him?" She tilted her head, keeping the dagger hidden behind her. "I have no currency for this realm-" "Use less words, sweetheart, all I got from that was you ain't got money, which is too bad, I would've told you where he was."

Great.

"I can offer you services for a day in exchange for information." She compromised. It wouldn't be a bad deal for him anyway, she got the location of the boy, he got free labor.

The man paused for a bit before letting out a loud laugh. "Yer a bold one, but I'm not looking to catch a case." (Y/n) became annoyed, not understanding why he was making it difficult. "My patience is wearing thin." "So is mine, but you don't see me complaining, I'm trying to negotiate."

(Y/n) pinned the man to the wall, the dagger pressed to his neck. "Tell me what you know. Now." She hissed. "Ya know, it's usually the guy that has the girl pinned in scenarios like these."

She pressed the dagger further into his neck. "G-Geez kid- He's just 'round the corner!"

The dagger disappeared from her hand, and she ran in the direction he pointed in.

"So, what're we gonna do about the kid?" The black ninja asked. "Ugh! Let me go!" The child yelled.

(Y/n) winced, holding her leg to ease the pain. She hadn't been letting it heal since coming to the Realm. She was too close to her target to let her pain to get in the way. She can rest after.

She sucked in her breath, running up to the black ninja. To his misfortune, he turned around just to be kicked at his lower stomach by her, letting go of the small child.

"Woah!" The boy yelped, landing in the girl's arms.

"Finally!" The red ninja yelled, taking out his sword. "Something we can actually fight." (Y/n) flinched, holding onto the boy tighter. She immediately turned to flee, much to the disappointment of the red ninja.

___

After being a good distance away from the ninja, she let the boy walk on his own. It was a relatively silent walk, apart from the boy's mumbled complaints.

"Stupid village, stupid people, stupid ninja."

All that walking led them to a snowy region. Though, she wasn't going to complain about it. The coldness helped the ache in her leg and shooed away the lingering anxiety she felt.

She looked down at the boy, he wasn't anything she imagined him to be. He was childish, inexperienced, evil? No, evil isn't the right word.

The boy came to a sudden stop, (Y/n) pressing her foot hard into the snow as to not bump into him. She winced a bit.

"Who are you? Why did you help me? As the son of Lord Garmadon I order you to tell me!" He pulled on her arm to get her attention.

The girl's eyes sparked green.

She bowed down, keeping her head low. "My name is (Y/n), Lord Garmadon's loyal pet, I was sent to find and protect you." His silence made her nervous, but she kept her head down.

"Why do you sound like a girl?" He ask with so much confusion. He lifted her head to look at him, pulling down the hood to get a good look at her face. "Why do you sound like a girl?" She shot back. "Hey!" He yelled, feeling insulted.

"Now that introductions are out of the way, where are we headed? I could possibly take you to your destination faster."

He paused for a long time. "Uh, um, I-I thought you were leading the way." He laughed nervously. "I am unfamiliar with the layout of this realm, I don't come out much from the underworld." She said, putting her hand to the sky. "If you want weapons, I know of a place we could go, though, I would need it to be a bit darker to properly navigate."

"I don't want weapons, I want an army, those people will regret ever crossing the son of Lord Garmadon." (Y/n) tilted her head, becoming even more confused.

"I'm not exactly sure where we could find an army, young master." She didn't know where Kruncha or Nuckal were. The Skulkin wouldn't really obey her without them.

The child tripped over a lever sticking out of the snow, causing the ground to split open. "Uhh-WOAH!" He fell through, causing (Y/n) to look down into the hole.

"This... isn't the tomb, is it?" She questioned, sliding down the icy walls to the boy.

"I'm okay! Nothing can hurt the son of Lord Garmadon!" He declared, lifting himself from the floor.

"Where are we?" He questioned, walking around while (Y/n) followed close behind. He continues looking around before smiling. "Actually, this would make a pretty cool lair!" "Comparing from above, the coldness is tame down here." The boy looked at her with a dulled look. "I mean, like, awesome cool, I can teach you words later, right now, let's work on making this into an evil lair for me."

(Y/n) touched the iced wall, seeing her reflection. She usually isn't able to see herself, the ponds don't fully show her, but this is the first, in a long time, that she's been able to clearly see herself. She glared at the scars that were seen, feeling herself shrink. She looked gross.

"AHH! (Y/N)!" The boy ran behind her, violently shaking. "You musst be out of your mind, venturing thiss far from home." She stared a few more seconds at herself before turning to the threat, a Hypnobrai.

"Not our of our mind, we're just lost." She replied, taking off her long-sleeved glove and using it to cover the child's eyes.

The snake rattled his tail, glaring at the girl. "Look into my eyess, give up your mind." She looked back at the ice mirror before moving out the way, causing the snake to hypnotize himself.

"Wh-What's going on, what happened?" He questioned, removing the thing blinding him. "The serpent is no longer a threat to you."

He poked at the dazed snake. "He's hypnotized?" "Yes." " That's so cool! But it's not an army."

Just then, they are surrounded by Serpentine, the child let's out a shout, running back behind (Y/n).

"You're lucky, young master, you have the General of the Hypnobrai under your control."

___

The girl in red sighed in annoyance, watching the people run away in fear. "Ugh, what now?!" Once she turned, she was face to face with a serpent. She instinctively punched him and ran.

"Ha! You got hit by a girl!" The child yelled. "She looked relatively weak, I don't think the snake was hurt by her that much." "Whatever, it was still funny."

(Y/n) watched the people run into their homes, fear crossing their faces as they'd run past them.

"What are the Serpentine taking from the people?" She questioned. "Candy." He answered. "Candy?"

"THEY'RE REAL?!"

She flinched, looking up to see the ninja on the rooftops. "Um, m-my Lord, I think it's best we leave now." She said, her master's son only glaring. "No! I want more candy!"

A mist of purple seeped from her body. She let out a heavy sigh, causing the mist to instantly vanish. "Forgive me for stepping out of line."

The ninja came back out, dodging the people to fight off the Serpentine. Her eyes were more focused on the weapons then their fight with the snakes. If she got them before her Lord got back, he might be proud of her.

"My Lord, do I have permission to enter the fight?" She asked, bowing slightly. He pondered for a bit before waving his hand. "Sure, teach the ninja a lesson for me." She left as soon as he said that.

In the Caves of Despair, she was able to analyze their fighting, and they were way below her in skill. Even so, she wouldn't let her guard down.

The white ninja threw his shurikens at the serpent that carried a wagon of candy. (Y/n) kicked over a wooden plank, getting the weapons stuck before it got close to the snake. She blinked a bit. That was way easier then expected.

Just as she was going to reach the weapons, she backed away, barely dodging the sword of flames. Her heart spiked in fear, seeing the red ninja's angered face.

She formed a katana in her hand, parrying his attack before he could strike her down.

"Kai! Wait! This feels wrong!" The white ninja yelled, grabbing a hold of the red ninja. "Zane! Let me go!"

(Y/n) stood there confused, she hadn't noticed when the white ninja made his way over. "They are injured and are in no way trying to harm us." "ARE YOU CRAZY!? HE'S LITERALLY SIDING WITH THE SERPENTINE!"

She flinched back, watching as he fought to escape the white ninja's grasp and, in the process, dropping his weapon. In her mind, getting the sword first was a better option if her fear was going to keep burdening her. Once she grabbed the weapon, she went back to the boy's side, lifting him up into her arms. She signaled the General to call back his people. "RETREAT!" The General yelled. "But my candy!"

And they were gone.

Kai pushed Zane off of him, glaring done at the ice ninja. "He took my weapon because of you!"

"I apologize, but they were in no way trying to fight back, it would feel wrong for me to fight without reciprocation." Zane said, trying to reason with his bad tempered brother.

"Hey, we got the General's staff, we unhypnotized the people." Jay said, butting in between Kai and Zane. "Whatever!" Kai hissed, walking away from the group.

Cole and Jay watched Kai walk off. "What's up with the hothead?" The black ninja asked. Zane only sighed, picking up his shurikens. "I will explain the loss of this battle to Sensei." The two ninja looked at Zane with confusion, but otherwise said nothing.

Kai hopped onto his dragon, knocking down a scroll from his bag. "Huh, I didn't pack that."

Zane picked up the scroll. "It's written in the writing of our ancestors." "Kinda looks like chicken scratch." Jay added.

"Well, don't keep us waiting, what's it say?" Cole asked, looking from behind Zane.

"I can only read a few of the symbols." He said, guiding his fingers onto what he was reading. "The green ninja will rise, the Overlord, and this means unknown element."

"Look! A picture!"

It was a drawing of five ninja, each representing their own color while the fifth one was green. "Is that meant to be us?" Cole questioned. "It appears one of us is destined to defeat Lord Garmadon." Zane concluded, still trying to read the other symbols, though, some of the symbols were smudged together, making it difficult.

"I'd look so good in green."

"Isn't it obvious, I'm going to be the green ninja."

"No way, the color suits me way better!"

Zane sighed, closing the scroll. He doubted Sensei wanted any of them to see the scroll. He'll need to sneak this back to Wu's room.

___

She laid the weapon in front of her, admiring the golden glow it emitted. A sword beautifully crafted, yet she wouldn't dare use it in combat. "Woah! You stole that from the ninja, that's so cool, teach me to steal!" He commanded, grabbing the sword, which immediately bursted in flames. "So cool!"

(Y/n) flinched away. "F-First, you should eat, it is better for you to have a meal before training, you won't learn anything if you are passed out." She grabbed the handle of the sword, the flame dying out.

"Right, right, I still have tons of candy." The boy nodding to himself. He grabbed a handful, placing them on the girl's lap. "Have some." He said with a large smile.

She unwrapped a piece, placing it into her mouth. It was too sweet of flavor, leaving her thirsty. "This isn't a very practical food source." The child only looked at her confused. "Um, well, it's really good." He said, stuffing himself with mixed candy.

"By the way, how come you didn't get the other golden weapon, it was right there." He questioned, stuffing himself with candy. "Holding all four weapon would kill anyone unfit to wield it, as for me, holding two would do me harm, touching one with my bare hands would harm me." She explained, the boy nodding along each word she said. She sighed in annoyance, knowing he understood nothing.

After finishing, he stood up, (Y/n) standing up beside him. "Alright, now to my army, I think we should move." He announced, jumping onto the hypnotized General's back. "Let's find a forest and build a treehouse!"

"You heard the boy, let's begin our search!"

(Y/n) leaned on the icy wall, hearing a rattling sound. She sighed, closing her eyes, trying to locate the serpent.

Her fist made contact with her target, opening her eyes to see a snake on the floor. "What do you want?" She asked, glaring down at him.

He hissed at her, lifting himself up. "Like I would give a filthy human information-" She kicked him back down, keeping her foot pressed in the middle of his chest. "If you don't want to answer that question then how about giving me your name and purpose of the tribe?"

He tried pushing her away, only resulting in her stomping on him, taking away his breath. "Answer my questions?" She asked, but with the glare she was giving him, she was going to get her answer.

"Ssskales, I am the ssssecond in command of the Hypnobrai Tribe."

She took her foot off him, yanking him up by the wrist. "Wasn't so hard, now was it?" She mocked, the snake rubbing at the bruise that was going to be left there.

"Were you going to use me for something?" She questioned, noticing his stiffness. "If you asked, I might have helped you, I don't necessarily like my mind being tampered with."

He stayed quiet, like he was thinking of another way to get what he want while she pondered for a bit, trying to see what she could do that would benefit her.

"I saw you hypnotize the Master of Earth." She said in a hushed voice, catching his attention.

"I may be grasping here, but you don't have an actual plan with using him, do you?" He glared at her, proving herself correct. "Another thing I want you to answer."

"I'm not ansssswering anything you have to asssk!" He yelled, getting her to slightly back away. "Do you want to be the new general of your people?" She smiled at the way he froze, now listening to her intently. "Alright then, we could help each other out."
