(Y/n) laid comfortably on the tree branch, watching the ninja dance around the campfire. Celebrating a battle of loss, it confused her, but then again, it could be for a boast of morale.
After a while, the old man grew frustrated and yelled at his ninja. "We haven't gotten a single weapon, this is not the time to celebrate, we must rest."
"Come on Sensei, you gotta let loose, and besides, evil never prevails." The blue ninja reassured. The old man sighed, giving into his ninja's antics, and dancing with them. The girl found it silly, but it looked fun.
Everyone was partaking in the dance, apart from the white ninja, who only sat as he meditated. (Y/n) tilted her head, feeling curious of the ninja. She froze when he began to scan the area, his eyes landing in her direction. He couldn't see her, she made sure of that, so why was he looking her way? In the end, it didn't matter, he continued with his meditation, slightly nodding to the beat of the music.
After a long while, they all finally went to sleep. (Y/n) jumped off the tree, stumbling when she made contact with the ground. She bit back the yell, only a small whimper being heard. She looked back to the ninja, seeing they were all still sleeping.
She only needed the red ninja, how can she lure him to the temple? She can't just wake him up, he'll start yelling when he sees her, and that wouldn't be good.
He wouldn't yell if he saw his sister.
(Y/n) walked over the ninja to go to the nearby pond. She was tempted to step on the Sensei but decided against it, the laugh wouldn't be worth it. When she reached the pond, she took a look at her reflection.
His sister's figure wouldn't be difficult to replicate, her looks were basic, not too complicated. (Y/n)'s entire body was engulfed with a purple glow, keeping the image of the girl in her head, and once the glow stopped, her appearance changed.
Looking at the reflection, she thinks she did a good enough job. Black short hair, a bright red dress, mole on her cheek. Good enough.
"K. . ." Nervousness suddenly hit her. She didn't remember his name. "K-Kyle?" She questioned, not getting a response. "Kevin." Nothing. She gave up on the guessing game, grabbing a nearby rock and throwing it at the ninja.
"Ow!" He woke up immediately, rubbing his head. "Nya?"
With his attention on her, she started to run towards the temple, ignoring the throbbing of her leg. "Hey! Wait up!"
They were nearing the Fire Temple, (Y/n)'s vision blurring. When running across the bridge a small whine left her, feeling nauseous as the heat hit her.
She heard screams, blood-curling screams. A sadistic laughter that echoed in her mind. She focused on her breathing, noticing she was losing control of it. She only needed to bring the fire ninja inside the temple, after that, she could leave.
She stopped, now inside the temple, the image of Nya disappearing from her body. "It's you?! Again!" The fire elemental yelled. He reached behind him, only to realize he didn't have a weapon.
Laughter began to echo around the temple, (Y/n) slightly getting dizzy from it. "Garmadon." The ninja hissed. The girl left, not able to handle being inside the temple any longer.
.
Walking back to the campsite, she saw three of the ninja tied up, except. . . "Where is the old man?" She asked. "Wu won't be much of a threat." The girl's shoulders dropped at his response. "Lord Garmadon ordered to have his brother captive." She said through her teeth. "You should be taking this more seriously."
Samukai only laughed, raising a sword, his army yelling a cheer. "To th.e Fire Temple!" He yelled, before a shadow grew from the bonfire.
"Fools! My brother escaped with the Sword of Flames! Return to the Underworld, immediately!"
The army left in awkward silence, while (Y/n) looked over at the three tied-up ninja. "Oh great, mister cloak skeleton is keeping an eye on us." The blue one mocked, the girl tilting her head in confusion.
How long had they been under Wu's teachings? Lord Garmadon said it wasn't for long, but they can't even do basic observation.
She began walking away, not caring if the blue ninja had a dagger on him. It's not like they know how to get to the Underworld, they shouldn't know how to get to the Underworld. So, (Y/n) got on her bike, and drove to catch up with the Skulkin.
Upon her arrival, a Spykor nuzzled into her, absorbing her warmth. (Y/n) lightly giggled, pushing the giant spider away. "I'm sorry, I don't have time to play with you, I'll visit whenever I can." She promised, petting the spider. Walking to the castle, she noticed the Skulkin bringing in crates.
"What is happening?" She asked Kruncha. "New weapons from the lighthouse." He answered briefly. (Y/n) hummed, opening up one of the crates, and taking a dagger from in it. "The weaponry seems to be a downgrade from last time." "I think he's figured out he's never seeing his son."
(Y/n) tilted her head, that mission became a bit of a blur, she barely remembered the son. As the thought came to her, she quickly discarded it, she just didn't want to remember it. Why? She didn't know, nor care.
"SPIDER!"
She quickly turned around, seeing the ninja fall from the sky. She felt her heart drop and quickly went into the castle. There she saw Samukai and the old man fight. It was a risky gamble her Lord decided to take. Sure, Samukai is a bit more experienced than the two masters, but he's gotten a lot more sloppy, so that would mean the old man could possibly beat him. But, as planned, Samukai won, enjoying the defeated look the old master had.
"Bring me the weapons." As planned, Samukai disobeyed. Once he held all four weapons, (Y/n) left the castle.
"Hey! Girl!"
She flinched at the sudden sound, turning to see a large wheel, with Skulkin inside. "How did that even happen?" She questioned, taking out the dagger, and pinpointing the weak point of the structure.
"We still got unfinished business, coward."
The red ninja pulled out the sword of flames, causing the girl to step back in a panic. "Didn't think we'd be able to get these back, did you?" He mocked.
A loud whistle blew, (Y/n) looking back at the giant wheel to see Kruncha making the noise. A swarm of spiders trampled over the red ninja, who yelled out in anger.
"Hurry up, let us out already!"
She threw the dagger, causing all the skeleton to fall. Nuckal emerged from the rumble, walking over to (Y/n), violently shaking her. "I almost died of boredom, why didn't you do it sooner!" Kruncha smacked his skull, causing his head to spin.
"Samukai dead?" He asked the girl, who was giggling at Nuckal's misfortune. "Hm? He did touch all four weapons, so most likely." She answered. He nodded, pushing her behind him when he noticed the ninja come over.
"Kai! You need to stop running off!" The black ninja scolded. "You need to stop telling me what to do!"
The girl waved goodbye, and left the Skulkin to deal with them.
"He's getting away!" Kai yelled, only for Wu to stop him. "Do you plan on fighting an entire army on your own?" He questioned. "We've done that back at those caves, what's the difference now?" He asked, still being held by the master. "The difference was that they weren't trying." Wu answered, looking at the Skulkin who pulled out their weapons, bloodlust looks appearing on their faces.
Jay hid himself behind Zane. "What are we supposed to do?" Cole whispered, looking at Wu for guidance.
The Skulkin with the helmet on lifted a hand, putting away his sword, which prompted the rest of them to do the same, leaving the ninja.
"What just happened?" Jay questioned.
Instead of answering, Wu let go of Kai, letting him harshly fall onto the ground, and bonking the rest on the head with his staff. "You four will protect these weapons, no more fooling around, they can not fall back into her hands again."
The ninja looked at each other in confusion. "Her?"
___
She didn't want to admit it, but she was lost. Not like she knew the layout of Ninjago, she rarely left the underworld, and when she was out, she was under heavy supervision. She was lucky if Nuckal would watch her, he was the only one who would let her roam around freely. Kruncha wouldn't let her go anywhere at all, but he did teach her a lot about flowers. Samukai was the worst one to take care of her, but he was rarely granted permission to care for her.
(Y/n) let out an annoyed sigh, looking at the picture again. There were no leads, no one would even bat an eye at her, and wasn't even given a time limit as to when she needed the boy.
"Oh my, are you lost, dearie?"
(Y/n) lifted her head to see a elder woman handing her a sandwich and bottled water. "Stay hydrated and don't skip meals."
She stared at the bagged food, confused as to why the woman handed her it.
"I don't want your poison." She said, handing the bag back, only for her stomach to let out a loud growl. The elderly woman giggled while (Y/n) glared. "No need to be embarrassed, dear, come now."
The woman pulled down the cloak from her head, taking the sandwich out of the bag. She took a bite out of the sandwich before handing it back. "See, this old timer can still cook, now eat."
(Y/n) huffed, taking small bites, the lady was strange. "You're such a cute little thing, you're the type of girl my son would date." Very strange, but not a threat.
"He's just around your age, y'know he use to kiss his pillow in his sleep, he was dreaming of a girl he used to have a crush on, oh what was her name, Stacy? Marcy?"
(Y/n) flinched when the woman suddenly grabbed her arm. "Do you like the color blue, do you have a boyfriend, a cutie like you should, oh but it sure would be a shame that I didn't get to you first." "Blue is a calming color, I like blue." She answered, ignoring all the other questions.
Her answer seemed to make the woman happy. "I should be going now." "Alright dear, I hope I see you again." The woman waved her goodbye. (Y/n) dusted herself, looking around. She let out a heavy sigh, searching for the child.
___
Finally, she stumbled upon a school. A villager had informed her of the school for bad boys, and it was a gamble, but she had a gut feeling he was there.
She caught herself staring at the flowers that were growing. She knelt down, gently caressing the petals. They were well taken care of, they bloomed beautifully. "Hey, lady, you're not allowed to touch the flowers, you can only look at them."
(Y/n) moved her hand away, watching the boy water the flowers. "Are you the one caring for them?" She asked. "Who's asking?" He said suspiciously. "Me, I am asking, I would have told you if someone else had told me to ask." She said with a blank face.
"That's what they all say." (Y/n) only became confused. Deciding to just ignore the idiotic behavior. "The flowers look well." "Uh, thank you." He muttered.
She stood up, dusting away the dirt that gathered on her gi. "Do you know of a child named Lloyd?" She questioned, keeping her eyes on the flowers. They were lilies. Her favorite.
"Who's asking?" The boy hissed, crossing his arms. "Me, I am." She turned to glare, the boy flinching away. "Well, he sounds like a wimpy kid, and there's not enough room for weakness here."
His answers irritated her, balling the ends of her cape to let out that bit of frustration. "Wait, wait!" His sudden change of tone caught her attention.
"If you're interested in Lloyd, that must mean you're related to Lord Garmadon!" He declared excitedly.
"I am not related-"
"Does that mean he sent you out to recruit people?"
"This isn't something for children-"
"Can you put in a good word for us, we're very smart kids, really very smart."
She wasn't comfortable with the idea of children working with her, it would be strange. "I do not care how smart you are, if your body is weak, you are useless." Kruncha wouldn't like the idea too much either. Nuckal probably would, new things to play with.
She paused for a moment, remembering they won't be with her anymore. With Samukai died, the Skulkin have disbanded, the worked for themselves now. Freedom.
"But we aren't weak!" The boy yelled, yanking on her cloak, getting the girl to snap back into reality. "We aren't a burden, I promise." He began pulling her inside the building, the girl doing nothing to leave. "You won't regret this, I promise." She only sighed, humoring the boy for just a while.
