She felt her last breath leave from her body, a painful agony she felt, but only for a moment, and then darkness. The cold that consumed her felt nice, calming, something she wished she felt more.
She opened her eyes, the world a blurr of nothing. Glows of green would pass by her, some cackling, others taunting, and there were ones who stood still, like they were waiting for something to happen.
A blue glow covered her form, feeling as if it was embracing her. She should've been frightened, but the presence didn't bother her, she felt safe. It whispered things to her, they sounded like pleads, but she understood nothing.
"Are you ready, darling?" A woman's voice asked, the embrace around the girl tightening. A mist of red appeared, forming a silhouette of the voice. The pleads increased, but the girl didn't understand, or maybe she just didn't want to.
The girl stretched her hand towards the woman. She felt the embrace let go of her and for a moment she missed it.
"Say my name."

(Y/n) flinched, opening her eyes to see Samukai readying the Skulkin to enter the Realm of Ninjago.
How long had she been daydreaming? What was she even daydreaming about? It was a strange feeling of deja vu, which frustrated her more now that she didn't remember what she was thinking of. Luckily, her cloak covered her, no one saw her horrified reaction.
"Your bike is ready, just telling you so you don't get left behind again." Nuckal chirped. (Y/n) gave a thumbs up, bumping shoulders as she walked past him to get on her bike.
She placed her gloved hands on the handle, waiting for the rest to go first. Usually, if she were in front of their vechiles, they tried running her over.
Samukai yelled for the army to go, the sound of the machinery roaring loudly. (Y/n) followed a few moments after, being slightly blinded by the light. No matter how many times she goes through realms, it always gave her a slight burning feel.
Once exiting the vortex, the world was a bright blue color, before the clouds turned into a dark purple. The village people looked in horror at their arrival. Samukai smiled in delight when they screamed, running for their lives.
(Y/n) noticed two people coming out of a shop, one with full armor and the other in a red dress. While they fought with the Skulkin, she walked around them.
Entering the small blacksmith shop, she started searching, with the help of two other Skulkins, but they weren't much help. The most they did was bicker and push eachother around.
She did find it funny when Nuckal took the skull of Kruncha and threw it far from the shop, leaving Kruncha's body scrambling to search for his head. "When he gets back he's going to hurt you." She warned, accidentally finding a secret passage in the shop.
"Nah, I'm his favorite."
There was a loud thud and (Y/n) quickly looked back. She saw Kruncha with his skull back on, Nuckal on the floor knocked out, and a broken sign with a map behind it.
(Y/n) picked it up, looking it over then looking up towards the sky. "The locations are relatively close." She muttered, walking out of the shop.
"The closest is the Caves of Despair." Kruncha said, lifting Nuckal from the floor. "Aw man, I hate going to that place, so boring." He whined.
Looking back to the fight, (Y/n) noticed her Lord's brother had entered. "Woah look, it's Wu, he was a kid when I was still alive." Nuckal stated, smiling. "I could've beaten him in a fight then."
(Y/n) laughed, making her way to the Skulkin truck. She aimed the skeletal hand towards the girl in the red dress, pressing the button to capture her.
"Huh- AAHH!"
"NYA!"
The cloaked girl felt victorious, until a random Skulkin pushed her off the truck. She pulled the dead warrior down with her, causing him to land on her. She landed on her leg with a loud pop, biting her lip to stop the scream that would have left.
"To the Caves of Despair!" The General yelled.
The girl pushed the Skulkin off her, wincing at every step she took back to her bike. Once on it she drove off with the Skulkin.
___
(Y/n) grew slightly annoyed with the progress, it was slower than she'd imagine it to be. They've had the map, they should have found it by now.
"Listen when I'm speaking." Samukai hissed, smacking the back of her head. "I don't like repeating myself."
All she did was nod, gritting her teeth under the cloak that hid her. "I said to go help in the search for the weapon." He pushed her towards the caves, noticing the small flinch she made when stepping. "Did you break your leg?"
She didn't respond to that question, just kept walking, resisting the urge to limp.
"Hey (Y/n), come here!" Nuckal shouted for her, waving around a strange looking rock. "Look, a rock donut, don't try to eat it though, it doesn't taste good." He said, passing her the rock. She hummed, tying the rock to her gi.
"Was that box always there?" He muttered, (Y/n) looking behind her. She shrugged. "It was there when I got here." She said, walking into the caves.
Upon entering, she grew annoyed at what little they've done. Then again, she expected as much, no point in getting mad.
Wandering around she spotted a skeleton laying in one of the caves, smelling a bit of kethanol gas. Luckily enough for her, Samukai didn't bring anything that can set this place to fire.
An irritated sigh left her mouth as she walked towards the skeleton only to realize it was an actual corpse, a burnt one. She flinched, feeling her blood run cold.
As much as she wanted to leave, curiosity still loomed over her. Why would someone be in the Caves of Despair in the first place.
(Y/n) placed a gloved hand on the side of the Skull, her eyes glowing to hear its thoughts.
I had purpose
He took it away from me
He made me believe
HE LIED
LAIR
I AM THE GREEN NINJA
She flinched away from the corpse, even more confused. Who told him he was the green ninja, she thought no one knew of the prophecy.
It didn't matter as of right now, she needed to find the golden weapon. She stood up, leaving that part of the caves, ignoring the light breeze she felt.
"That's so cool!" It echoed throughout the caves, (Y/n) pausing for a bit.
Lord Garmadon had told her four ninja would try to get to the weapons before her. She knows that voice didn't belong to any of the Skulkin, but she didn't think these ninja would be dumb, if it even was the ninja that yelled and blew their cover.
Entering the main part of the cave, a large battle ensued, four colored ninja. "Hmm."
She watched the Skulkin fight it out with the ninja, seeing Kruncha and Nuckal putting little effort into there fighting, while Samukai was desperately trying to get the scythe.
During the fight, the ninja learned spinjitzu, which lead them to victory.
"RETREAT!"
(Y/n) watched in satisfaction as Samukai fled. It was something she could mock him for later.
"Didn't Sensei warn us of a guardian protecting the weapon?" The white ninja asked. "Probably just said that to scare us into not using it." The blue one responded.
(Y/n) tilted her head in confusion. They either didn't confront the dragon or they took it from it while it was still there. That'd mean it's going to try and get it back.
Right on cue, the walls behind her broke, prompting the four ninja to look over at her. "It's you! Where's my sister!" He yelled, making her flinch. "You know him?" The blue one asked. "Can we focus on the bigger issue here!" The black ninja yelled, trembling under the dragon's gaze.
(Y/n) turned to the dragon, giving it a small smile as it roared. "Oh my First Spinjitzu Master, he's going to get eaten!" The black ninja yelled, cowering behind the white ninja.
The girl just hummed, touching the side of the dragon's face. Dragon's read emotions, that's what her Lord told her. (Y/n) was great at over exaggerating her emotions, so that's what she let happen, letting anxiety take over her prompting the dragon to growl as it covered her from the ninja.
"Is it just me or is that dragon not attacking him?" The blue ninja asked. "Your observation is correct, the guardian seems to be more hostile towards us."
The dragon roared, the ground shaking as spikes rose in attack. (Y/n) sat for a while, watching the ninja run around. In some point during that exchange, the black ninja dropped the scythe, the girl picking it up, and leaving them to deal with the dragon.
___
"I've retrieved the scythe, my Lord." Samukai bowed. "But they've learned the art of spinjitzu." (Y/n) added, getting a glare from the dead warlord.
"Spinjitzu?" Samukai flinched hearing the Lord's voice. "That means my brother was there." He stated, Samukai nodding. "What was the face he made, knowing he failed to protect the scythe?" "I-I didn't stay long to witness his face, but I'd say he'd look distraught."
Samukai struggling with his words was always humoring, watching this once feared warlord reduce to a pawn. "Good." Garmadon said, waving the dead warrior away.
Once out of sight, (Y/n) pulled down her cloak. "Any setbacks?" He asked her, the girl shaking her head. "Everything is going smoothly and Samukai seems to be rusty in his fighting, he's no threat, even if he decides to betray you." She thought back to the ninja. "Your brother's ninja seem to act as if this was their first battle."
"That's because they are."
The answer shocked the girl, that means they just got lucky defeating a whole army of trained Samurias and vassals. "That shouldn't be a problem, correct?" "It isn't a problem." She reassured, it made it easier.
With a final bow, she lifted her cloak and left the throne room, making her way to the dungeon. "Don't touch me! When my brother gets here you're done for!"
The Skulkin guarding her only laughed, messing with her hair, annoying the girl more. (Y/n) knocked the skeleton back, looking down at the girl. "What're you looking at?" She hissed.
She was like the damsels in the stories Kruncha would read to her. Seeing that role in person was pathetic. "Put more of a fight then just whining." She muttered, the girl in red kicking her leg.
(Y/n) fell to the floor, suppressing the urge to yell out in pain. The girl looked at her smugly. She underestimated the prisoner and now her leg is broken. Holding herself against the wall, she glared down at the girl. "Not so tough now, huh?" She cooed, (Y/n) dropping the slosh of food onto the girl then leaving her to throw a fit.
Ripping the small branch from the wall, she started tying it to her leg, testing her balance on it. "Good enough."
She doubts this will hinder retrieving the other weapons, the pain was already numbed.
The shurikens were next, which would help the pain, and she's always preferred the cold anyway. The nunchucks would probably be a problem since it's located on the top of a broken tower, but she'll figure it out when she's there. Finally the sword of flames . . . The dragons to each of the weapons will be easy to deal with, nothing to worry about.
___
The Skulkin climbed on one another, attempting to grab the floating shurikens. Upon touching the weapons, the ladder of skeletons froze, the shurikens dropping, and awakening the dragon. The Skeleton were chased out of the icy domain, now leaving (Y/n) to handle the dragon.
It blew a soft cold breeze into her face, the girl only smiling. "I wish I could keep you, but the underworld isn't exactly in your element." She picked up the shurikens, the dragon still in a docile state.
"How are you here!? We're the ones with the map!"
(Y/n) turned to the ninja, looking back at the dragon. She tilted her head to the ninja, which caused the dragon to chase after them. She let out a small laugh, leaving the dragon to play.
___
Lightning struck everywhere, a few Skulkin getting knocked off. The nunchucks were on the highest point of the broken tower.
(Y/n) decided to stand on the side for this one. The ninja got there first this time, which was for the best, she didn't know how to get back down if they were going to be waiting at the bottom. And all that aside, she genuinely didn't want to get shocked.
The colorful ninja actually got the weapon this time. They used gliders to break their fall, creative, but it didn't look stable enough. (Y/n) grabbed a rock from the ground, throwing it at the blue ninja's glider. The ninja crashed into the tree next to her, something she didn't expect to go in her favor, but she wasn't complaining.
When the blue ninja got out of his dazed state, he looked at the girl in fear. "Ack! D-Don't hurt me!" Waving the nunchucks around, it conducted enough electricity to shock (Y/n). "Woah, did I do that?" The ninja questioned with awe. (Y/n) regained her composure and snatched the weapon. The weapon's glow disappearing when she held it.
___
(Y/n) was back in the underworld, placing the nunchucks into its place holder. She let out a heavy sigh, the feeling of dread creeping up on her.
Time was lost in the underworld, not that she really had a good concept of it anyway, but time did feel like it moved fast when she had to do things she disliked.
"Are you going to listen to me, or does my voice disgust you that much?"
(Y/n) flinched, bowing slightly. "F-Forgive me, I meant no disrespect, I-I was just- I.." She couldn't think of anything to say, causing her to panic even more.
Lord Garmadon raised her head to face him, smiling as he felt her shake. "What's this? Why are you so afraid all of a sudden?" He tilted his head, letting go of hers. "I-I'm sorry, it's nothing that will prevent you from getting the last weapon." She muttered.
He clapped his hands together, causing his pupil to let out a small yelp. "I see what this is about, you don't want to get the sword of flames." He laughed.
Without letting her reply, he smacked her upper back, getting her to straighten her posture. "I apologize, child, it seems I've forgotten to tell you something important." His red eyes pierced into her (e/c) ones. "All you need to do is lead the fire ninja into the temple, why do you think the girl was needed?"
(Y/n) felt herself smile, he was always so kind. "Thank-" "Now, onto what you do after we've retrieved the last golden weapon." He grabbed a photo that laid on his throne, handing it to the girl.
She looked at the photo confusingly. "Is this your brother?" The glare he gave her sent an unpleasant cold down her back. "My son. You'll look after him until I say so." The girl only nodded, afraid to speak.
She looked back at the photo, assuming he still looks like this after forty years it should be relatively easy. Actually taking care of him may get repetitive.
"You may leave." He dismissed.
