(Aphmau)
I finally finished with Vylad and his examining.
I was tired and wanted a nap.
Correction, I was exhausted and needed to sleep
I left the training room and pulled out the map Garroth had given me. It was hand written, and it seemed like the person who wrote it wasn't very artistic.
I followed the wobbly lines and made it to the training room where Garroth said he would be. I looked through the large window and watched with interest.
Garroth was hiding behind a large wooden totem, and in his hands looked like some sort of blade. They had some sort of magical dummy roaming.
Garroth stabbed his blade into the wood, and pulled himself up, and used a separate dagger to help himself. He climbed to the top and the darkness covered him like a cloak.
He took his blade and threw it, pinning the dummy to the wall. He effortlessly jumped to the ground and ran over.
Wow, he's fast
He sliced the head of of the magical training dummy and then the lights turned on. He glanced at the window and saw me. When he did, I could see his cheeks rise in a smile.
"Unlock the door!" He yelled and then came out the door, "hey" he leaned on the wall and stretched his arms, his sweaty muscles glistening.
"Hey"
"So what're you doing here?"
"I came to find you because I'm done with my training" I shrugged, "and I'm exhausted" I sighed.
"Well so am I, what do you say we head back to my room and have a nap?"
"Sounds great!"
He offered me his arm like usual and I wrapped my arm around his.
We walked down the hall.
"So, how was Vylad? Did he treat you alright?" He asked leaning in slightly.
"Yup, he's really nice. Sometimes, when he started to talk about research, I could barely get him to stop talking"
"Really?" He dryly laughed in disbelief.
"Yeah"
"That's interesting"
We arrived at the room and Garroth removed his arm from mine. I plopped onto the bed and hugged a pillow close to me. I looked at Garroth and saw him take his shirt off. He laid beside me and I felt my face burn bright when he got comfortable.
"I hope you don't mind me sleeping here, the couch is rather lumpy"
"I-I don't mind"
I couldn't fall asleep, but soon Garroth was far in dream land.
And there was one thing I learned....
Garroth cuddles in his sleep.
He wrapped his arms around my waist, I previously put my wings in my back so that they wouldn't hit him in our sleep. He nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck.
---------------------------------------
This was easy.
Tedious, but easy.
Pretending I was asleep and cuddling with her was as simple as taking someone's life.
My face was nuzzled in the crook of her neck, and I had to admit, her scent was amazing. It was...addictive.
Eventually, I actually did fall asleep cuddled up to The Evil One.
When I woke up, the Dark Queen was nuzzled against my chest, my arms more around her shoulders and her hands braced on my chest.
I didn't mind, because this was all a part of a bigger plan. This was just another mission from my father.
Nothing more, nothing less.
I felt her shift in her sleep and soon she woke up, rubbing her eyes. She noticed our position and sat up, scooting slightly away from me.
"Time to wake up already?" I yawned.
"I guess"
I just now noticed her wings weren't out.
"You're hiding your wings again?"
"I didn't want them to get in your way" she sighed and braced her arms on her knees.
"Would you like me to escort you to your lesson on the history of O'Khasis?"
"I should be fine"
I nodded and sat up beside her.
"Alright, but just a heads up, Zane can be intimidating...and I don't even trust him fully myself...are you sure you don't want an escort?"
To be honest, I didn't fully trust her with Zane. Zane was pure evil, and he only seemed to care about himself.
"Um...if you really don't trust him...maybe it'd be best for you to come..."
I nodded again, this time getting out of the bed and putting on a shirt. I tightened my mask and offered my arm. The Dark Queen got up and laced her arm with mine. We slipped on some shoes and walked down the halls.
We walked up to a room with the door wide open. We walked in, and Zane was standing at his window. He turned to look at us, his cheeks rose under his white mask in a smile. His one visible blue eye, shone with mischievousness.
"Hello, Dark One. Oh, Garroth, you're here also" Zane walked over to us and gingerly held the Dark Queen's hand.
"What's wrong? Don't trust me with your new....pet?" He chuckled darkly. I glared at him and took Aphmau's shoulder, pulling her closer to me.
"She's not a pet, Zane"
"But you still don't trust me..."
"No, and why should I?" I bitterly growled, tightening my grip on the Evil One.
"Relax, now what do you prefer me to call you?" Zane turned to the Dark Queen.
"Aphmau"
"Very well, Aphmau, come. Sit." He gestured to a seat. The Dark One nodded and took a seat in the provided chair.
I went into a dark corner and leaned against the wall.
"So, Aphmau, how much do you know about O'Khasis?"
"Well, on my island I had a lot of time to read history books. From the history, it was plain to see O'Khasis was definitely a power house back then, but whether or not it's changed I'm not sure."
Zane nodded and leaned back in his chair.
"O'Khasis is still a major powerhouse" he rose from his seat and paced, "is there anything else you know?"
"Not really"
Zane nodded and looked out the window. He sighed and then gestured for the Dark Queen to stand. She listened and stood.
"We will go through the streets of O'Khasis. We'll look at landmarks, and get you comfortable with your surroundings"
The Dark One nodded and I stood up.
I started following them out, but Zane held up a hand.
"She'll be fine with me"
I shook my head.
"Father ordered me to protect her, I'm not letting her be alone with you"
I brushed past him and took the Dark Queen's arm.
"Let's go"
The Evil One sighed and took her arm away.
"Garroth, I'll be fine. Just walk with us, you don't need to hang off me" she laughed a little and held my hand briefly, "I'm stronger than I look"
I nodded and sighed, dropping her hand. She smiled and her and Zane walked side by side. I followed close behind as we made our way through the streets.
I don't like this
