"Your dad?"

"Yeah..."

"Wait, what's going on?!" I grew frustrated.

"Quiet," Gene barked.

We walked down stairs, and down hallways. The sound of a portal came to my ears. We came to a large portal, and we were pushed through.

When I opened my eyes again, we were surrounded by nether rack and flames. in front of us was a large castle made out of nether bricks.

We were brought into the castle and into a room. A bedroom. There was a closet, a vanity, and then there was a large double bed.

"This is your guys' room. Dark Princess, I'm sure you know where the dinner hall is. Your clothes for dinner are on the bed, you have two hours until dinner."

Gene walked away, leaving us alone. Aphmau sat on the bed, laying down and sighing. I sat beside her, looking around the room.

"We don't need to wear the clothes he wants us too."

"No, we should make him as happy as possible," I sighed, "so can you please elaborate on this father of yours?"

"So I told you how Irene took me in when I was young, right?" I nodded, "well she was in love with a man named Shad. Everything was fine, and I looked at him as a father. Years later, he turned and Irene trapped him here in the nether where he became the shadow lord. But even though he became corrupt, he still loved Irene, and even me. But he loved the darkness more. And I was given the nickname Dark Queen for when I took over for him, but since it never happened, everyone here refers to me as the Dark Princess. But I told him years ago that I wanted nothing to do with him."

"Oh..."

"Anyways, I guess we should get ready," she sighed and grabbed the clothing on the bed. There was no where for her to get dressed, so I kept facing the wall, while she changed.

"So how long are we here?"

"Not sure, I'm hoping it's not even a day...there, I'm dressed," I turned and felt my heart stop.

She was wearing a floor length black dress with a low cut back for her wings. She sat at the vanity and started doing her hair and makeup while I got dressed. I kept messing up the tie and growling. Aphmau laughed a little and walked over to me.

"Nervous?" She asked, tying it for me.

"A little...he's the shadow lord."

"Well don't worry, he apparently likes you."

"Gene said I would be dead."

"Gene doesn't have special connections."

"If you're the technical daughter of the shadow lord, then why were the two shadow knights so...rude and harsh with you."

"I'm a very stubborn person, so it takes a lot to get me to come here. The thing is, they knowhow to instill fear into my heart. Because they know who they can hurt, and what buttons to push. So they have to go to drastic measures, and he will do anything to see his...princess." She finished with the tie and smiled a little.

After awhile, a servant came and told us dinner was ready. Aphmau nodded and wrapped her arm around mine. We walked down the hot corridors, her heels echoing. The wither skeletons that guarded the place stiffened as she walked by. We got to a set of large obsidian doors, and the two guards opened them as we neared.

We walked inside, and a man was standing at the head of the table.

Except, he wasn't a man at all.

He had dark purple wings that were made of scales rather than feathers. His hair was pitch black, and his eyes matched them, with irises the colour of blood. He smiled, sharp venomous fangs were there for teeth.

"Aphmau, darling," he held out his hand, his voice deep and booming. He walked over and hugged her, but she didn't hug back, only clung tighter to my arm. I held her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"What do you want from me?" Her voice stayed strong, unwavering.

"Just a visit, I haven't seen you in centuries!"

"No, you want something."

He pulled back and held her shoulders

"Darling, I may be the Shadow Lord, but I still care about you"

His voice was sincere, yet she remained emotionless, and even narrowed her eyes.

"You're gonna try and convince me to come back here. You want me to take over the thrown of the nether."

"Yes, I do. But it is your decision."

"So when I want, you will let Garroth and I leave?"

"Anytime after dinner, you may leave at will," she held my hand tighter, "come. Have a seat, I would love to get to know the man who captured my daughter's heart."

We untied our arms, but Aphmau grabbed my hand as soon as she could, I could feel nerves on fire through the palm of her hand. We sat next to each other, her hand still gripping onto mine for dear life.

"Garroth, it's a pleasure to finally meet you, you look just like your father."

"How do you know my father?"

"You have his smile too..." He mumbled sarcastically, "I was the one who granted all of you your immortality."

We stayed silent, cutting and eating our food.

"So, Aphmau. I'm glad you found someone you love, but I was wondering, when is the wedding day?"

I choked on my food and took a drink of the wine that was sitting in front of me.

"Wedding?" I coughed.

"That is what I said, yes."

"Father, he just lost his fiancee thanks to you," Aphmau spoke up.

"I thought I was doing you a favour. He didn't love her." he shrugged.

"And how would you know?"

"Mirror Garroth."

My fork hovered over my plate, and my eyes widened.

"What?" I asked.

"It was part of the immortality, I had conjured up a way to communicate through a mirror, and it would appear like it was you in a different dimension talking to you. But obviously that's ridiculous, and that's how I could talk to your father for him to do my bidding. I'm also really good at reading people."

"You knew everything from the beginning..."

"Stop," Aphmau turned to him, "remove that part of the spell you casted. I don't want you to be able to communicate or see Garroth anywhere with a mirror."

"Why would I do that?"

"Think of it as a late birthday gift."

"Alright, I'll get to it tonight."

"Thank you."

"So about the wedding-"

"There is no wedding," Aphmau bit at him, "he doesn't love me like that."

"And why do you think that?"

"Because he told me! He was engaged to someone else!" She shouted.

"But Garroth, did you love her?" He asked me, thankfully, Aphmau had my back.

"Stop pestering him! There is no wedding! So fuck off!"

I rubbed the back of her hand with my thumb and didn't look at her father, afraid of his gaze.

"Aphmau dear, you are as ignorant as your mother."

"Don't mention her..."

"I loved her too, I had nothing to do with her death. You know that."

Aphmau kept silent, finishing her food.

Dinner finished on an awkward silence, and Aphmau stood.

"Well we should be going. Leave me alone. Don't contact me or anyone around me. Don't hurt anyone else around me. Am I clear?"

"Aph-"

"Am. I. Clear?"

"Yes, dear. I won't hurt anyone around you," he whispered.

"Goodbye."

Aphmau pulled me out and we grabbed out clothes from the room, not bothering to change as we left the nether. We walked and stepped outside of the portal, and as soon as our feet hit the stone, Aphmau collapsed to her knees. I knelt beside her and held her shoulder. Tears flooded down her face, and she wiped them away continuously.

"It's okay, it's over."

"No...it's never over...." She whispered. I sat on the ground and pulled her onto my lap. She pulled her wings into her back and sobbed into my chest while I rubbed her arms, comforting her.

A/N Alright, so now is it more clear? Well it's only gonna get worst from he- I mean BETTER it will only get better from here. I love you all devils, byeeeeee.
