Chapter 1: Welcome to Jasper, Nevada

It was roughly around 3:00am in the western state known as "Nevada", and riding down along one of its many sand-covered roads drove a sleek, black-colored, four-door 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Crew Cab (picture above^), with its large headlights shining brightly throughout the dark night and its tail gate hauling a small equally black tow trailer behind it. (picture here--->)

Inside the moving truck's carrier held only three passengers, the two in the back being children that were sleeping soundlessly on the comfortable seats, and the other being an older teen whom was wide awake and was driving the actual vehicle, watching the road ahead of them with a steady gaze as they mutely sighed to themselves in slight exhaustion.

'Alright, we're almost there,' the teen says in their thoughts, looking out at the road in front of them with emotionless, yet very tired (eye color)-colored eye(s) as they used one of their dominant hands to move a few strands of their short, (hair color)-colored hair out of their right (eye color)-colored eye. 'Just a few more hours until we get there...just a few more....'

As the older teen continued to drive the truck down the long and dark road, one of the children in the back began to stir, making the (hair color)-haired teen glance back at them through the rearview mirror as a young boy with two-color hair sat up from his sleeping position on the comfortable seats, yawning and stretching out his stiff limbs before rubbing one of his heterochromatic-colored eyes in a tired manner. (pic of what he looks like (1st pic) and his outfit (2nd pic)--->)

(And yes I'm using a reference of Shouto Todoroki (from BNHA) as the boy, but his name would be changed just like his "twin" for this story. They're both going to be around 8 years old. If you would like for me to change their names back to normal, just ask me in the comments and provide a name that I should give them.)

After the young boy had finished with what he was doing, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then lifted their right hand and waved at him through the mirror, gaining the young boy's attention as he waved back before "talking" to the older individual in sign language.

"Good morning, Big Sib," he signed while looking up at the teen through the rearview mirror. "Are we getting close to our new home yet?"

The (hair color)-colored hair teen shook  their head in response, using their right hand to sign back to him while keeping their left hand on the steering wheel to continue driving.

"Not yet, Damien. We still have a few more miles until we get there," they signed back.

The boy (known as "Damien") nodded his head at their answer. "Should I wake up Crystal?" he signs.

This made the (hair color)-colored hair teen think for a moment, looking over at the time on the radio and taking a quick glance at the rising sun in the distance before once again using their right hand to sign back to Damien.

"Yes, please. It's almost morning, so we should be getting some breakfast soon. But remember to be gentle about it, okay? You know how she is..."

The boy nodded and signed once more. "I remember, don't worry."

After he was done signing, Damien then turned to his left and began to softly shake the other child's shoulder, successfully waking them up after a few seconds of trying as a young girl with the same two-color hair as the boy (known as "Crystal") slowly sat up from her sleeping position on the aforementioned seats, copying his movements from earlier before looking around with a slightly confused and cautious look.

While she was looking around, Damien then gently grabbed onto the young girl's hand and began to trace a secret password onto her palm that'll show that it was him whom had woken her up from her long night of sleep. (Pic to what she looks like (1st pic) and her outfit (2nd pic)--->)

"Heterochromatic Twins."

Once he was done with tracing, Crystal then did a closed-eye smile, now knowing that the person in front of her was indeed her twin brother as she waved into his direction before turning around to face forward, carefully moving her free hand over to tap onto the armrest of her passengers side door.

"Good morning, Big Sis. Are we getting close to our new home yet?" she tapped.

In response to that, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then switched her right hand with her left hand from the steering wheel to begin tapping back by using the driver doors' armrest beside her.

"Almost, sweetheart. We only have a few more miles to go until we get there."

Crystal nodded her head in understanding before tapping some more. "Okay. Is it almost breakfast time?"

The (hair color)-colored hair teen then looked at the time on the radio before tapping. "Almost. Maybe once we get into Jasper, I'll stop by at a nearby fast food place and see if they have any breakfast options. Does that sound fine with you?"

Crystal nodded her head once more. "Yeah, that sounds fine. Want me to tell Damien?"

"Yes, please. I thank you kindly."

As the young girl went to do as she was asked, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then continued to drive silently, keeping her (eye color)-colored eye(s) out on the road while looking back at her twin siblings in the rearview mirror every once in a while just in case they wanted to "talk" to her again.

(Time Skip brought to you by the love of your cute twin heterochromatic siblings...)

After a few hours of sitting in comfortable silence, a view of a town started popping up in the distance, making the (hair color)-colored hair teen sigh mutely once more as she started tapping away on the armrest beside her.

"Crystal, inform Damien that we've made it to Jasper and that we'll be arriving shortly. I'll be on the look out for a food place for us to eat at in the meantime."

Crystal did another closed-eye smile and nodded her head before going over to inform her twin brother of what their big sister had just said.

As the small family started rolling in into the quiet town of Jasper, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then began to slow down the truck, turning her head from left to right to look around at the street signs to see if they were going in the right direction before stopping at an intersection, noticing that the street light that hanged above them had turned red before they could pass through.

While the teen waited patiently for the light to turn green, a red-colored Dodge Challenger and a blue-colored Kawasaki Ninja 250R motorcycle suddenly zoomed by them, making the (hair color)-colored hair teen turn her head slightly to look at the two rushing vehicles before spotting two parked, purple-colored EcoJet Concepts turning on their bright headlights and following after them from a further distance.

After watching the four vehicles sped down the street, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then glanced back at her younger siblings through the rearview mirror, seeing Damien was looking right back at her as the two locked eyes and stared at each other for a couple of seconds, a look of suspiciousness hinting through them due to what they saw.

There was no one driving the red vehicle.

Once the two siblings nodded their heads at each other to confirm that they were having the same thoughts, the teen then removed her eyes from the rearview mirror to continue looking down at the long road where the four vehicles had went off to, watching them go further off into the distance before they've turned a corner and vanished from sight.

Once the vehicle's were out of sight, the light then finally turned green, making the (hair color)-colored hair teen look up at the street light for a few milliseconds before then lightly pressing on the gas pedal and continuing to drive the truck along the empty dark road.

After going straight and taking a few turns here and there, she then pulled up in front of a building and parked the truck into an empty parking spot, having to have finally found a fast food place that was open as she unbuckled her seat belt, reaching over with her right arm to grab a large yellow notepad, a pencil, a chain wallet, and a black-colored surgical mask from on top of the front passengers' seat. (picture of surgical mask here--->)

After getting everything that she needed and slipping on the surgical mask to hide the lower half of her face, she then turned around in the driver's seat and reach over to gently tap on Damien's shoulder, immediately getting his attention before gently grabbing onto Crystal's hand so that she can use it as a template of sorts to trace with her finger on what she was going to say to them.

"Alright, I'll be right back in a couple of minutes. I will keep the truck running in case you guys want to turn on the air conditioning, and I will be locking the doors once I walk out. Damien, I'm leaving you to be in charge with not losing the keys to the truck. Even though I'm going to be within walking distance from here to there, I still want you guys to stay safe just in case something happens. Is that understood?" she traced.

This made Damien and Crystal looked up at their older sibling and nodded their heads at her, letting her know that they understood on what she was asking of them as the (hair color)-colored hair teen then reached over and gently patted both of their heads, showing her internal affections towards her younger sibling before opening the driver's door and stepping out of the truck with her needed materials, locking the doors afterwards.

As she clicked the wallet's chain onto her belt while stuffing the actual wallet into her back pocket, she then walked through the glass doors that lead into the restaurant and went over towards its counter to tap twice on a bell that sat on top of it, its sound ringing loudly throughout the empty establishment.

When she did that, a young waitress then poked her head out from a corner in the interior of the mentioned restaurant, her emerald green-colored eyes showing curiosity as to whom had tapped the bell before widening in realization as she quickly put on a hat and waist apron (presumably her uniform) before walking over with a small notepad and pencil in one of her hands, the other being used to brush her short red-colored hair in a meek and slightly nervous manner. (Pic of what she looks like--->)

"G-Good morning, and welcome to K-O Burger, "where every burger's a knockout". A-Are you here for the breakfast menu?" she asks in a soft yet meek voice. (I'm giving K-O Burger a breakfast menu option, since I don't think they have one.)

The (hair color)-colored hair teen nodded her head at the young waitress' question, her emotionless (eye color)-colored eye(s) skimming through the breakfast menu above them before writing down what she's ordering onto her yellow notepad.

"Um...w-what are you w-writing down on that notepad, s-sir?" the waitress asks, seemingly confused and slightly afraid by what she could be writing down.

The (hair color)-colored hair teen then stopped writing and looked over at the smaller teen before her, unfazed by the fact that she accidentally called her a "male" due to her gender neutral looks as she gave the waitress an emotionless, yet slightly saddened look with her (eye color)-colored eye(s) before gently touching the area that was covered by her choker, indicating to the waitress that she was a mute. (Your outfit--->)

(And since the human characters don't seem to rarely ever have an outfit change in any of the 3 seasons, this'll most likely be your permanent outfit. That's also your hairstyle, but it's facing left instead of right and it's a little bit longer so that it fully covers your left eye. Your ears are pierced, the jacket also has a hood, and the necklace/choker stays the same.)

The waitress new immediately what the gesture had meant and began to awkwardly looked down at the counter in slight guilt. "Oh...I-I'm sorry. That must've been very rude of me. P-Please forgive me for asking..."

The (hair color)-colored hair teen only shook her head and waved her dominant hand, indicating to her that she was fine with it as the waitress looked up at the older teen with a soft blush, seemingly astonished by the small amount of forgiveness given to her for her small misunderstanding.

Afterwards, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then presented her yellow notepad to the waitress, showing that she had finished writing down what she had wanted to order as the waitress blushed a deeper shade of red out of embarrassment.

"O-Oh! I'm s-sorry! I'll go and start making your order right away. Y-You wouldn't mind if I..."

The (hair color)-colored hair teen shook her head once more, gently laying the notepad down on top of the counter as she watched the waitress cautiously, yet carefully tore the yellow paper off of the notepad.

"Please w-wait here while I prepare you your food. B-But unless you have a vehicle, th-then you can wait out there and I can bring you your food instead. W-Would you like that, sir?" the waitress asks politely, looking up at the taller individual as the (hair color)-colored hair teen nodded her head, appreciating the kind offer.

After watching the waitress leave towards the back with her written order in hand, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then turned around and began heading back towards where the truck was parked, with her notepad held in her dominant hand and her pencil tucked behind one of her pierced ears.

Once opening the glass doors to walk out of the restaurant, she then spotted a certain two-colored hair boy's head popping up from within the driver's seat, making the (hair color)-colored hair teen wave at him as she walked over towards the drivers window before talking to him in sign language.

"The food should be coming out soon. Can you inform Crystal for me while I stand outside in the meantime?"

The two-colored hair boy nodded his head at the request, pressing a button on the driver's door to unlock the truck for her before climbing back over to the back seat to do as he was asked as the (hair color)-colored hair teen leaned back against the truck, waiting patiently for their breakfast to be brought out to them.

Later...

After a few minutes of waiting, the waitress then finally came out of the building, making the (hair color)-colored hair teen stand up straight from her leaning position against the truck as the waitress meekly and awkwardly came over with three bags and three drinks on a tray with some napkins stacked neatly beside them.

"O-Okay, lets see if I remember this correctly. Um, I have your three boxes of the regular size order of French toast sticks, three bags of mini hash-browns, two bottles of apple juice, and a medium size cup of (favorite flavor) coffee. All are labeled on by name and I have the receipt taped to one of them. W-Was I correct?"

The (hair color)-colored hair teen nodded her head as the waitress sighed in relief.

"Th-That's good. That'll be...um, $13.45. S-Sorry it took so long, I had to make the food by myself until the other employees arrive...so..."

The (hair color)-colored hair teen only nodded her head once more as she turned around and opened the door behind the driver's seat, where the waitress was then greeted by two children who look like twins, both of their hair and eyes being the same with two different set of colors on each side, and the slight difference being that the girl's eyes were foggier than the boy's.

"Oh!" the waitress gasps softly, looking at the twins in slight awe at their distinctive and unique features as she turned her head to look up at the taller individual in front of her. "Are...Are they your siblings?"

The (hair color)-colored hair teen nodded her head as she gently grabbed the bags of food off of the tray, giving two of them to the twins while putting the other in the front seat before repeating the same action with the drinks and napkins.

Afterwards, she then turned around and began writing something down onto her notepad before later showing it to the waitress.

"Yes, they are. I would like to stay and chat some more, but I'm on a tight schedule at the moment. My apologies if this appears as rude to you. I have the money in my hand if you would like to take it," the waitress reads out loud to herself, before realizing what the last sentence had said as she quickly looks over to see the mentioned money being held out to her. "O-Oh, um...th-thank you..."

As the waitress gently took the money out of the older teen's hand and put it into her apron pocket, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then waved softly in a "goodbye" gesture as she turned around to open the truck's door.

"W-Wait!"

The sudden action made the (hair color)-colored hair teen halt in her step, turning her head to look back at the waitress behind her as her emotionless, (eye color)-colored eye(s) looked down at the shorter individual, wondering what else she wanted to say to her.

"Um, p-pardon my curiosity, s-sir, but are y-you happening to b-be moving into Jasper? O-Or just passing through? I've never s-seen you around h-here before, so..." the waitress stutters out, gripping the empty tray close to her chest as she looked down at the cement-ground in slight embarrassment.

This made the (hair color)-colored hair teen continue to look at the smaller teen for a few more seconds, a slight hint of curiosity shining in her emotionless (eye color)-colored eye(s) as she wrote something down on her notepad before tapping the red-head's shoulder to show it to her.

"Yes, my family and I are moving into Jasper. We've just arrived today with our luggage. We just decided to stop here for a moment to grab something to eat before we head off to our new home."

"Oh! So does th-that mean you and your s-siblings will be a-attending to o-one of our schools?" she asks again.

"Yes. I will be attending to "Memorial High" while my siblings will be attending to "Pepperton Elementary". Why do you wish to know?"

The waitress then blushed heavily at the question, realization kicking in.

"O-Oh, um, b-because....I w-w-wanted to k-know if....I'll be a-a-able t-to....s-see you again...."

Now this made the (hair color)-colored hair teen look down at the waitress in slight shock, a light blush spreading across her emotionless and blank features as she wrote down something before showing it to the shorter individual.

"Sure, we could see each other again. Where would you like to schedule the meeting at?"

The waitress then looked up at the (hair color)-colored hair teen, shock that the taller teen had actually agreed and had asked to meet up with her as she once again stutters in her words.

"W-Well, since we h-happen to b-be going to th-the same s-school, maybe we c-could...m-meet up at the f-front entrance? I could h-help show you a-around--that way y-you could get to k-know the school b-better. I just h-have to inform my b-boss about why I would be a-arriving late tomorrow and get p-permission from the school's principal first b-before I c-could."

The (hair color)-colored hair teen then nodded her head at what the waitress had said.

"Alright then, I'll be seeing you tomorrow morning. It's more of a free day for me--as I was informed that I won't be starting classes til' Monday due to it being close to the weekend. So we can start the touring then if you have the time."

As the waitress nodded her head at the scheduled date, the (hair color)-colored hair teen then looked off towards her right before going back to her notepad to add something else on it. "You should getting back to work, ma'am. It's almost morning time."

This made the waitress look over in the same direction also, seeing that the sky was starting to glow in colors of yellow, orange, red, and hints of pink, purple, and blue as she began to get nervous by how much time had passed since they've started talking. "O-Oh! Yes, th-thank you for telling me."

As she says this, the sun then began to shine its warm light on the two, giving them the chance to see each other properly as the waitress blushed lightly before bowing her head towards the taller individual.

"I-I'll be s-seeing you tomorrow morning, then. G-Goodbye."

Then she headed off back into the restaurant, leaving the (hair color)-colored hair teen to wave goodbye once more to the waitress before climbing into the truck and driving off towards her and the twins' final destination.
