Arc 1: The harsh regrowth of a boy
3rd POV
His hand pushed against his body with a devious smirk. His bright red eyes shined menacingly and small sparks flew from his palms.
"Worthless Deku. You should really just end it."
Sweat poured down his face and his eyes widened as he sprung up from his sleep. That same dream had been reoccurring for the past month and he was sick of it. He knows he fucked up, there wasn't a need for his dreams to remind him.
Looking at his clock, he noticed he woke up right on time. He climbed out of the bed and towards his bathroom where he did his morning routine. As he brushed his teeth, his reflection stared back at him. Invisible words scrawled around his reflection.
Pathetic
Coward
Bully
He wasn't going to fight them, cause they were true. They were the only thing to explain his actions towards the one who's always loved him.
Even when he didn't realize, he felt the same.

Trudging down the stairs in the early morning, he was faced with the same reality. His mother yelling at him for taking too long and almost being late and his father sitting back, being just as much as a coward as he was.
Not in the mood to entertain the shenanigans, he grabbed an apple, slipped on his boots and left his house.
The outside was foggy, and obvious dew hung on the plants. There was a deadly silence to it all, at least in his ears. All the silence did was allow the room for his doubts to grow.
He finished his apple right before making it to the train. The blonde found his ear buds and plugged them into his phone, playing music to drown his thoughts. The train jumped around causing him to bump into the man next to him, who didn't take to kindly to it.
"Watch it runt." The man scruffed out
"Fuck off fat ass." Bakugou retorted "Shit happens."
The train stopped at Bakugou's stop and he quickly got off. As he neared the school, watching the teens around him chat with their friends he scowled.
And he kept that scowl all the way to class 1-A.
"Hey Bakubro!" Kirishima greeted from his seat with Kaminari
"Calm it shit hair."
"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Kaminari mumbled
But it didn't faze Kirishima. He was used to Bakugou by now. The only difference with it now was, something unearthed it self behind those words.
A bright giggle floated through the class making Bakugou glance up. Midoriya had walked in, wearing his usual bright smile. He and Ochaco were talking together and it made Bakugou burn on the inside. He didn't like her, and with the way she side eyed him walking in, it was obvious the feeling was mutual.
Kirishima and Kaminari's conversation was background noise to his ears. A ringing was the fore front. Looking at the two happily talk made his heart strings twang. They were meant to be, you could see it in their eyes. Bakugou, on the other hand no matter how you looked at it, was not meant for anyone.
Even he knew that.

The classes ended and lunch rolled around. Sero and Ashido, his other two friend group additions, never showed up which was odd since both of them were gone. The remaining three walked together to the lunch room but Bakugou hit full stop. He forgot his lunch card in his bag.
"What happened?" Kaminari asked wondering why they stopped
"I need to head back to the class. I forgot my lunch card." He spoke annoyed he'd have to walk all the way back.
"Alright we'll be at our usual table." Kirishima said
Bakugou nodded and turned around. The scowl on his face that never left, scared the students that got too close. Him 6 months ago adored that, him now just wanted it to stop.
As he reached the class he stopped, hearing hushed whispers.
"I'll talk with him later. No worries Todoroki, we'll make sure you two end up together." A bubbly voice discussed
"Thank you for helping me, your tips were useful Ochaco." A slightly excited yet monotone voice replied
"Of course, Deku won't be hard to sway anyways. Who else could he like besides you?"
A verbal reply wasn't said back but seconds later footsteps walked closer to the door. Bakugou quickly ran behind a wall far from the class and gripped his pumping heart.
Todoroki liked Midoriya and Ochaco was setting them up.
Tears fought to come forth in his eyes and when they did he growled. He hated crying, it made him feel weak.
But wasn't he already?
Which is why he needed Midoriya, the one who despite the hell he put him through, always loved him. He couldn't let him slip through his fingers like that, not when there were only so many grains left.
