"And I should know, because I was your mother's sole adviser." At this remark, the cream colored gem smirked at me, clearly satisfied with the dumbfounded look I now had on my face.

"WHAT!" I shouted, clearly dumbfounded at this point. I had thought that my name was Rose, but clearly that was wrong. So , what was her name? Holly, yes that was it, had clearly wiped my memories. I wasn't crazy for not remembering anything! I gave a little sigh in relief, and turned back to the cream colored gem.

"Was that too much for you to handle right now sweetie? It can be a lot to take in at first, knowing that your mother was the leader of a rebellion against one of the most powerful forces in the universe."

"SHE WAS A WHAT NOW?" My mom was a leader of an intergalactic war? What else don't I know?

"Oh shoot, right, you didn't know that yet. I don't want to overload your mind sweetie with information, during my time on earth, I studied humans and their minds, never hurting them of course, this was all voluntary, and discovered that they are quite weak." She said sighing, ruffling my hair. Almost like Amethyst would do to me. Wait, Amethyst? I was ripped out of my thoughts by a knock on on the door. I cowered back in fear, the cream colored gem looked at me and sighed, and moved over to the door, whispering to me along the way.

"Lay there, on that table. Pretend your asleep, and don't move until I tell you. I presume that nothing will go wrong, SG7 is a gem that I have learned to count on, but there are always contingencies in any situation." I nodded, trusting her since she seemed to be the only gem that didn't want me killed. She headed over to open the doors of the lab, straightening her lab coat. I squeezed my eyes closed.

"Ahh, SG7. I presume you've brought me the materials I requested?"

"I have X5. And I presume that you have taken over the study of the specimen?" The SG7 spoke. I heard a rustling noise, I presumed that that was her setting down the stuff that X5 had ordered.

"I have, you know how Holly gets sometimes. I wanted to do a real investigation instead of a hasty one."

"I know just what you mean. There's been days where I've been on patrol for more than 48 hours at a time, us Amethysts just never seem to get a break." Ametyst. There was that name again.

"Well I thank you for the hasty service. I presume I will see you again on patrol?"

"Im sure I will. As always, us Amethysts aren't ones to easily get promoted or demoted. Frankly I'm surprised that I haven't been shattered yet." There was mild chuckle at this statement, while all I felt was cold. Shattered... it sent a chill up my spine. So much so that the table I was laying on gave a small squeak sound.

"So this is the one huh?" I heard footsteps come in my direction. Shoot.

"Yes, that's the specimen." The cream colored gem kept her voice very level.

"Wow." She breathed, her hand gently touching my belly, hitting the spot right above my gem. It took everything in my power not to squirm.

"I'd prefer you not touch the specimen, it is heavily sedated and I am about to run tests on it, wouldn't want the results to be messed up by an irregular breathing pattern."

"Ahh, of course." The gem said with force and retracted her hand away. "I should be going, thank you for your time" And with this I heard footsteps going in the opposite direction, until they finally faded away with the woosh of a door.

SG7 POV

I walked out of the room with a swoosh of the door. The information I gained from my little trip would be of great importance. I started to walk down the hallways of the Zoo. She was waiting for me.
