The Mysterious Case of the Missing Cape
"Have you seen Thor?" Loki asked Natasha, standing towering in front of the small redhead who was sitting curled up on the couch.
"Well, hello to you too, Loki, nice to see you. How are you?" she replied without looking away from the television screen. Natasha Romanoff could not be intimidated, and that was a fact.
"Hello Natasha, pleasant day, nice weather, have you seen my idiot brother?" Loki asked annoyed, Natasha only smiling at her growing success of socialising the irritable god.
"Nah," she replied quickly.
"What are you so fascinated by?" Loki asked, turning to see the television.
"I need to know who wins the halloween heist," she explained with a shrug; "Why do you need the God of Ruptured Eardrums, anyway?"
"I have him under suspicion of a prank," Loki explained.
"Isn't that more your thing?"
"Yes, but I think it might be payback for making his hammer look like something less... Manly. Or in fact, very manly. At least somewhat manlike. Well, part of a man-like. But in pink," Loki added.
"Why do you think he's pranked you?" Natasha asked, entirely ignoring what he'd said.
"My capes keep going missing, I don't know where they are," Loki informed frustratedly.
"Oh, that's weird," Peter budded in shyly; "Real spooky, mr Loki."
Loki finally noticed Peter sitting with a book (which he was entirely focused on), wrapped cozily in a suspiciously recognisable piece of fabric.
"Yes, well..." Loki said, suddenly much more calm; "I shall go prank my brother back, then."
"Loki, you know Thor didn-"
"I know what I am about, Natasha," Loki interrupted her hastily.
