Blessing
When Katsuki Bakugou was born into this world as a lesser god, he was treated as the biggest blessing anyone could ask for.
He was born into a small island that was surrounded by volcanoes all around, no one dared take a step near their territory, and it was hard to leave the area at all, the volcanoes were perfect in shape, tall and stands proud, it will take days to reach the volcanos and no one has managed to climb them up yet, even if they were, it'll be hard to cross, the large craters on each would serve as a problem.
When Bakugou Katsuki was born, destined to be a lesser god who will control volcanoes, he was treated as the biggest blessing anyone could ask for, how could they not? A chance to escape the island, a chance to get out of this island the lava flows down to swallow their island whole.
The god of life came down upon them to visit the new god birthed from the rocky volcanoes around, everyone made way.
"There is no need to do that." he orders as everyone parts a way for him.
"Please, just carry on with what you were doing, I mean no trouble, I only wish to see our soon to be, newest companion in the astral plane." they bowed, showing their respect before continuing with what they're doing, of course some still sent curious glances at him but those can't be helped.
The god closed his eyes, in an instant, he saw the essence of life around him, the plants all around were a sketchy soft shade of green while the islanders were all of their individual colors, perhaps the same color but a different shades but there was one, one radiating an intense burning heat, Izuku hummed, feeling the warmth thrash around wildly, it was only natural, he can't control his powers yet.
Izuku opened his eyes, already memorised where he needs to go, his feet moved, following a path before he found an angry toddler, babbling angrily to a leaf he found on the ground while he was crawling, he was adorned with the most wonderful red silken fabrics, someone had seemed to pull a prank on him, a small pink ribbon on the top of his head, Izuku couldn't help but giggle.
The baby looks up at him, before looking back to the leaf on the ground, grabbing it and then shoving it in his mouth, a few moments later, smoke erupted from his mouth but he doesn't seem to be that affected by it, he reaches out for another pretty green leaf, although Izuku is sure the toddler means no harm to him, he can't help but feel a bit threatened, his hair a shade of green similar to those of the leaves.
Katsuki only started to pay attention to him once more when Izuku sits near him, his brilliant blood red eyes looking straight through him, before he seemed to try and communicate with Izuku with gibbering baby talk from a language even Izuku doesn't know.
Izuku has lived millions of years, with all the time in the world, he has taken it upon himself to read the language of the old humans and the new, he loved communicating with creatures, although the humans themselves already studied the language of the gods to make sure they don't make a fool of themselves when they show, Izuku still felt the urge to do it, maybe out of respect.
Izuku has learned to talk to every animal in this land, yet none of them, not one of the thousands of languages he has kept in his heart would help him understand what baby Katsuki is telling him.
The baby babbles some more, he grabs a leaf, then he stands up, Izuku gasps, I mean sure everyone else walks on two legs but it is just so endearing to see a small tiny human, with adorable cute chubby legs, stand. Katsuki walked to him and handed him the leaf, Izuku smiled at him, he gently touched the leaf and it thrummed with his power.
In an instant, the leaf was covered with a semi-transparent greyish-green orb, Katsuki looks at it curiously before it melts away.
The leaf had been jewelled, it's soft organic green has turned into one of crystal emeralds.
Katsuki sat and examined the object, noticing that it wasn't the soft, greeny and delicious(?) thing he was eating earlier, he tried to bite it but it wouldn't budge, Izuku laughed, his voice sounded like a sweet soft lullaby, so much so Katsuki fell asleep. The life god tried not to giggle but ended up failing.
He gently picked up the baby, cradling him into his lap, he hums a few words before a thin black string appears before him, Izuku let the string pass through the emerald leaf, he connected the ends together once the leaf seems to be stuck on the black string no matter what. He lifted the baby and gently placed the necklace around his neck.
Izuku would look a bit more but it was time for him to return, he sighed, walking back to the towns circle.
"Excuse me? May one of you take him? I'm afraid I have to go" one of the villagers took Katsuki from him, handling the toddler with such care, Izuku smiled.
Before he left, he stomped his feet on the ground, in an instant, greenery flourished all around, the bald spots of ground were filled with fleshy soft grass, the trees and crops that had failed harvest were blooming to life, producing products to eat, sweet and rare plants grew all around, he bid another goodbye before disappearing into the astral plane with a bright flash.
"So you're back" The god of death grunts, looking a bit mad.
"S-Sorry, I just couldn't wait to see him, he was such an adorable little critter! I absolutely adore him!" He chirps, Aizawa stares at him with indifference.
"...A volcano god huh? Even though he's a lesser god, I'm interested"
"Oh you should be, I can feel raw strength radiating off him, he'd be a bright young man when he grows!" Izuku smiles.
"I left him a little present before I left... I hope he enjoys it..."
"Better be, when was the last time you gave out a present?"
"...That's because the humans of now has become corrupt, but I couldn't smell a single malicious intent on anyone there. You know, most other gods like to blend in and live with humans now a-days you know, honestly I'm seeing the appeal in it!"
"..." Aizawa sighs, reaching down to pet his head.
"The only thing old about you is your age, you are as naive as when you started" Izuku frowns.
"I'm not that bad, am I?"
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Aizawa says.
