Dying gods....

The words seem so foreign and alien to me.

More alien than the two hybrid underwater creatures currently pulling me further and further beneath the surface of Titan.

As someone from a planet with BILLIONS of separate different living organism teaming about, and hundreds more being discovered DAILY, it was damn near impossible to wrap my head around the concept of an entire planetary body having only one left....

But what about the eldritch monsters??

I wouldn't even know what to classify the monsters I faced as.

Leo says they're dead and dying.

So are they disruptive carcuses?

Blind mindless forces of nature??

I hugged the boys tighter briefly as my mind swirled with questions.

They and their people were all that's left on this planet.

And as someone who voluntarily thought they were the only soul alone on Titan up on the surface for months, I wouldn't wish that fate on my worst enemy.

However, here Leo and Dion have had to live with the reality of being the last ones on this planet for who knows how long.

The mental fortitude that required is simply unimaginable and unreal!!

My resolve hardens immediately.

"I'll do whatever I can to help and protect you. I swear it." I pull back and say to them solemnly.

"Oh? You'll protect us?" Leo's cocky confidence was back in full force, which means the next words out of his mouth would be a literal Russian Roulette.

"Yes!" I reply confidently, shoving my hands on my hips to strike a pose in my perceived darkness.

"Big talk from someone who if I take her helmet off right now its literal GGs." He leans forward and fake whispers in my ear seductively.

"LEO!?!?" Dion wails.

I smirk and turn that energy back on him.

Pressing my face as close up to his as my helmet would allow, I drop my tone to an equal, if not more, seductive whisper and press THE WHOLE of my chest on his torso as I snake my hands across his gooey collar bone.

"I'd love to see you try, yellow boi...."

My voice was as sweet as honey, but held a venomous edge.

Leo completely deactivates as he's stunned to his core by my sudden action and change in demeanor.

Dion struggles, and miserably fails, to hold off his hysterical cackles as he sees right through my plan.

"Y-yeah??" Leo desperately tries to respond with some semblance of confidence.

"Oh, yessss....." I said in an almost orgasmic moan into his ear.

I feel Leo's hand twitch as he seemed to be using every last shred of his willpower not to vibrate before me.

In his moment of distraction, I grab one of his arms and twist it behind his back without missing a beat.

"Hey- what!? OW!!" He yelps in pain, suddenly going from mily confused (and hopefully aroused) to being in extreme pain.

"This will be the first and last time you ever threaten me. Even as a joke. Capeesh?"

"Yes! YES!!" Leo howls. "Dear sweet mother of-"

I let go as Dion STILL couldn't stop laughing, then hunched over as he swam towards us to give his boyfriend mild comfort.

Leo glares as he continued to chuckle.

"Thanks for the help sweetheart," Leo seethed sarcastically.

"My beloved. YOU fucked around and found out," He continued to cackle, while placing a soft kiss on Leo's head.

There movements allowed me a small narrow field of vision, and I gently swayed as well to widen my field of view.

I could see points in Leo's arm glisten brighter than others. Seeming to be points of tension from where I held him.

I feel a pang of guilt and lift my fingers towards the bright spots.

"He'll be fine, don't worry." Dion quickly assures me. "He's the human equivalent of bruising too easily."

My concerns, and fingers, were quickly waved away by silver hands.

"At least let her comfort me!" Leo bemoans.

"No. You deserved it." Dion sternly retorts.

And that was the end of it as Dion took the helms of swimming further down with me on his back for the next 2 hours.

Thank goodness for the heavy meal I consumed like a fucking Kirby, otherwise my black ass would be starving right now.

But I did notice we'd began swimming again at a slower pace.

I lift my head up off Dions' shoulders, uncurl one of my arms away from his neck, and tap his shoulder.

He instantly gives me his full, undivided attention.

"Do you need a break?" I softly whisper.

Leo quickly swims back towards us.

"Not so loud!" He chides me in a harsh whisper yell. "This part of the ocean is very dangerous!!"

I give him a look.

I could've sworn I was whispering in the lowest voice possible.

"Do not take offense, Mel. It's just that your vocal cords are naturally tuned to a louder frequency than ours." Dion stops swimming and turns to face me to fully speak. "Even your lowest voice would be normal to loud speaking, for us."

I thought for a moment, and did the first dumb thing that came to mind.

"How about this?"

I did that thing kids do where they basically form the words they're saying, barely any air coming out of their mouth, and the other kids in the playground had to guess what you were saying.

Leo and Dion eyes light up in surprise.

"How are you-" Dion began in complete stupification.

"You never cease to amaze me," Leo beams with pure glimmering pride.

I simply shrug and allow the coy smile on my face to fully take over.

Not gonna lie, being around these two did wonders for my dormant praise kink.

"I'll ask again, do you need a break?" I redirected our attention back to the matter at hand.

Dion reacts to being put back on the spot again.

He looks to Leo for an out, but his golden boyfriend silently looks back at him, also wanting to know the answer to the question proposed.

"I'm perfectly fine and can continue going the rest of the way." Dion confidently answers next. "But also wouldn't be opposed to a small break for a brief moment. Again, I can keep going if we want-"

Leo gently clasps his hands together then.

"Then it's settled. We rest for a bit before continuing the journey."

He spoke with such an authoritative finality.

"But!" Leo quickly added before Dion and I even got a chance to let out a breath. "No speaking. It's too dangerous."

And after that, he spoke not another word as Dion nodded in agreement.

I looked between the two of them, wondering how they expected us to have a break with no speaking WITHOUT it getting hella awkward, hella quick!

But....it didn't...

The low hum of my heart beat being the only sounds eminating from us as we just stayed suspended in silence and....float.

I tried to maintain constant motion so as to see, not wanting to be consumed by darkness.

I ended up catching Leo staring at me lazily with his hands behind his head as he floated just above Dion's shoulder.

A quick look at Dion reveals his eyes to be close and seeming to center himself and exist in the moment.

The literal poster child for zenned out right now.

I, on the other hand, found the concept of just relaxing on command near impossible.

The only times I ever slowed down and breathed was from exhaustion. How the fuck can you just rest and relax on command!??

But I tried my best to breath slowly, doing what I've seen in meditation videos and just breathe in....and out....

I close my eyes and try to do the ridiculous exercise hoping I don't look absolutely stupid as I counted to 20.

By the time I hit 20 I open my eyes and I'm floating on my back.

I'd been stationary for too long and everything had gone black.

I took in a deep gasp to desperately hold back the wave of panic threatening to slam my heart against its ribs from the sharp darkness.

But then I see hands wave in front of me, dancing around a funnel of colours to help me see.

Leo had been on top of me the whole time, it seemed.

He was smiling down at me as he chased the darkness away.

My heart immediately slows at the sudden and strong reassurance that I was safe.

With Leo above me and Dion's warm silvery glow coming from behind, I knew they'd be my sword and shield against all danger and would protect me from anything.

But through the small funnel of colours Leo swirled around me to see....

My eye grow wide as they land on the giant tentacle barrelling down towards his head.
