Marvis sighed as she stared out of the window of her dad's car at the hot sun shining outside,the car's ac was put on luckily. She tuned out as she stared at other cars zipping past them while thinking of her life.

Marvis pov

I was enrolled into a boarding high school by my parents. They are bankers and are well to do but they barely have enough time for me. I am used to moving around and I could remember vividly the discussion we had a week ago.

A week ago

"Marvis!" I heard my mom called while I was laying down in my room

"Ma" I answered, "I'm coming". I hurried downstairs and I met her and my dad sitted at the dining.

"Sit down" my dad said. I sat down and waited for the bombshell they had to drop. Let's just say I don't have a good relationship with my parents.

"We are moving to Lagos by next week and you have to start packing and preparing now" my dad said. They have obviously been transferred to Lagos

"Okay dad" I replied.

"You can go now" I went back to my room.

My name is marvis, I'm 16 years old and I have two more years to graduate high school. I'm 4'11 and slim thick. I've only had one boyfriend all my life and though the sex was great,we kinda lost feelings and decided to break up.

I pounced on my bed,took my phone to call my best friend Tola. It rang three times then she picked,

"Bitch!"

"It is your elder sister that is a bitch mumu"

I rolled my eyes,she can be so irritating sometimes.

"I don't have your time. I have to tell you something" I said.

"You don finally see boyfriend" I will definitely choose a better best friend in my next life. She continued,"Is he cute? Is he dark? Oh ma gawd,have you guys had sex yet?"

Jesus,she is such a drama queen

"You go overboard sometimes bruh, it's none of that".

"If it's not that,then what is it?" She asked confused.

"We are moving to Lagos "

"Hello......."

"Wow, I'm going to miss you " she finally said.

"I will miss you too but we are still going to call and text each other, alright?" I assured her.

"Okay I will talk to you later,my mom needs me now" she ended the call. I knew she was sad and I was too but there was nothing we could do about it.

Presently

Our house is a four bedroom duplex located in the heart of ikoyi,Lagos island. I'm not sure why we needed such a big house but one thing is for sure and that is I can't wait to rest my aching back.

I was about to rush up the stairs when I heard my dad's voice," we are finalizing your registration on Monday so pack your bags tomorrow".

"But aren't we attending mass tomorrow?" I asked.

"No,we are not attending church " he answered.

"Okay dad".

My room was painted in my favorite colors,pink and purple which I was really grateful for. I stripped out of my baggy top and jeans trousers because I really needed to take a shower.

25 minutes later

I just got out of the bathroom, applied my body cream and did my facials. I jogged downstairs to help my mom cook dinner and I saw her chopping some vegetables.

"Hey mom,what are we having for dinner?"

"Efo riro and Amala". I'm more of a cereal person so I guess I wasn't too happy with our dinner option. "Okay mom,let me help with the vegetables".

"Okay honey" she checked the chicken she was boiling while I continued with the vegetables.

An hour later,we were all sitted at the dining while my dad shared the grace.

"Marvis,are you excited? You are going to meet new people and make new friends" my mom said.

"Yes mom" she tried bringing up other topics and petty discussions but I wasn't really interested.

I retired to my bedroom after cleaning and washing the dishes. 'like a boss' was playing on the television and I was laughing my ass off but I can't help but think of my new school. I said my night prayers then drifted to sleep.
