Marvis POV

"But scientist are basically trying to get the willow project approved by the US government which is going to cause great harm to us" Moyo exclaimed. We were in the classroom waiting for the biology lecturer.

"And how is that causing great harm to us" Stanley sassed.

"And I will like to let you know that" I began,"this project is going to cause a lot of climate change which could cause a lot of harm to animals".

"Well I still don't understand how that affects us"

"You won't understand, idiot" moyo said. Stanley pulled out his phone from his backpack.

"What are you doing?" I continued,"you know phones are not allowed in the classroom".

"Well I need to text someone urgently "

"But what if you get caught " I whispered.

"Well,we just have to find out " he smirked.

"I won't be here when that one happens sha" she began,"why is this woman taking so long,she is wasting our time"moyo whined.

"She wants to use our break period " I said brushing my hair out of my face. I pulled out my small mirror so I could reapply my lipgloss.

"I'm bored " Stanley sighed.

"Well you have not done your physics assignment so don't be bored" I told him.

"Oh yeah that's true, I've not done mine too" moyo said.

"Well you guys should start doing it because we are submitting it today"

"See who dey talk " Stanley said giving me the stank eye

"What na"

"Have you done your own assignment? " moyo asked.

"Yes I have"

"Problem solved"

"Please give us your assignment so we can copy it" moyo continued.

"Nope"

"Why?" Stanley asked whining

"Well because you guys will end up writing the exact thing I wrote" I began," he is going to suspect that we copied each other"

"That's true sha" she began,"Stanley,we are on our own now"

"Obviously "he said.

At the principal's office
Andy POV

"Well it looks like the stress is becoming too much for you "

"No it isn't,I can do every task perfectly on my own" I replied.

"Two students reported earlier that they couldn't find you when they were trying to report an emergency health case" he began,"and let's not forget how messed up the chemistry laboratory was last Friday " he finished.

I shook my head as I tried to remember when all these cases happened. I know where this discussion is leading to and I will avoid it as usual.

"Mr Everett....." He cut me off before I began,"principal Everett to you " he said in a low voice.

"Principal Everett,I never knew all this happened "

"Well you won't cause you don't have superpowers " he said,"that's why you need an assistant like every other prefect "

"I don't need an assistant, I'm fine on my own"

"Well you do"

"I don't "

" You do"

"I don't "

"You do and that's final!!" He yelled. I raised my hands up in mock surrender,"okay fine,but I get to choose him or her" I said.

"Fair enough,but you have till Thursday " damn, that's two days from now. How do I want to get an assistant that fast.

"Okay principal "

"That's all, you can leave my office " he went back to his laptop while I left his office thinking of how and where to get an assistant.

I walked to class because I'm sure the biology lecturer is having us now.

"And where are you coming from?" She asked me

"The principal's office "

"How do I know you are not lying?"

"Well I'm not" I sassed.

"Just sit down" she sighed

"Well we are having a wider discussion on reproduction" she continued.

"If our discussion is sex,then we all in this class have covered all our bases" Femi yelled from the back of the class.

"That was not appropriate" the biology lecturer yelled to the back of the class.

"Well he is right,we are all pros when it comes to sex" Daniel said. Most of the class laughed including me.

"Daniel!" The lecturer said in a threatening low voice.

"Since we can't have an appropriate class discussion on reproduction,then I guess we move on to textbook work. Turn to page 221 and summarize the entire article" she said.

We all groaned and grudgingly pulled out our note books and the textbooks.

The bell rang thirty minutes later and I had already finished the textbook work,I was just writing down the notes on the board. I walked across the classroom to meet Joshua who was discussing with the female head prefect.

"Guy,can we go?" I asked him.

"Well hello to you too"she said raising an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and while walking away,"you should try minding your business,maybe you wouldn't be so thin after all" I said.

"Hey! Just because you are the daughter of whoever doesn't give you the right to talk to me that way" she snapped.

"Why did you have to talk to her that way?" Joshua asked after catching up with me.

"Wasn't I stating the obvious?" I asked him.

"Well you were rude"

"You knew I was rude before you became my friend " I said facing him.

"Whatever, let's go"

We got our lunch then found the others sitting at our usual spot,

"Rice? Really?" Zoe said laughing.

I rolled my eyes and sat down with my tray,"well it's my favorite food"

"Give your stomach a break from rice" Kyle said.

"No"

"Nawa oo"

"Starch everytime "

"Well it's none of your business okay!" I yelled.

"Why is she so cranky today?" I heard ope ask Joshua.

"I don't know, I'm also confused "

"What do you mean you don't know?" Zoe asked.

"You two are in the same department so you should definitely know something " Kyle said.

"Why are you guys discussing like I'm not here" I began,"I'm fine"

"No you are not,what happened?" Zoe asked.

"Okay fine" I began,"I was called to the principal's office today and now I have only two days to get an assistant " I groaned.

"Well I think that's a very good decision because you have been slacking lately " Kyle quipped.

"Yeah I agree" Zoe said

"The question is,how do you get an assistant in two days" Opemi asked

"I said this is my space and you three have to leave!!!!!" A high pitched irritating voice yelled from behind me. I rolled my eyes knowing who it was already. I turned around to see Beverly and her two minions fuming at ...... Marvis? What has that innocent girl done to them now?.

Marvis POV

"I need to borrow these books from the library after eating " I mumbled

"Geez,are you always thinking about school and books?"

"I can't help it" I shrugged,"I was born this way" I said smiling.

"The sports tryouts is beginning this evening, would you like to try?" Moyo asked.

"No I'm not sure,I hate sports" I said.

"Oh okay, I'm trying anyways "

"That's cool. What sport?"

"Basketball,but I'm nervous " she sighed.

"Hey! Trust me, you deserve this more than anyone else and you will ace it,okay" I smiles patting her arm.

"Thanks B"

"Look, you have visitors " Stanley said.

I turned around to see Beverly and her friend coming to our direction.

"This is our table,so you guys need to leave" she said.

"Mtcheeww" I faced my food.

"I said this is my space and you three have to leave!!!!!" She yelled. I stood up to face her,

"There are 20 other tables here,why don't you make use of them" I said angrily.

"They are not my table,this is my table so leave!" She said.

"Well we are not leaving,so deal with it"

"You either leave now or you leave forcefully"

"Wooah I'm so scared... .... Bring it on bitch, I'll fuck up your face..."

She smiled,"this will be easy..." And just like that,she left me confused. What is going to be easy and why is it easy.

The day went well and we all submitted our assignment and looked forward to my last class which was English. We waited for a while when Mrs Taylor the English teacher walked in.

"Who is Marvis?" She announced. I was surprised on why she called my name.

"Yes Mrs Taylor" I raised my hands.

"You are needed in the principal's office"she said  frowning at me.

I stood confused as I looked at Stanley and moyo,what is going on.....?
