Chapter 3: More.

~Ross' POV~

I swear, if world war three actually starts today I wouldn't be surprised. I need some more children to do my experiments. Three more is all I need. I'll think about that later. I need to write up today's notes.

Experiment: C.CF
Status: Alive. Working. Listens, but moans
Health: Good
Day Number: 64

I'm really surprised subject A.AL worked. Subject S.AL didn't so I don't know why I didn't expect her to fail. Speaking of whom, I may need to find her at some point. I need more. Honestly I-
"Excuse me, Ross?"
"That's doctor Ross to you if you are going to call me by my first name at all. In future, try to just call me sir."
"Y-yes sir. I came to ask you if you about Ashlie."
"What about her?"
"May she room with me? So then we both won't be alone!"
"I'll consider it."
"Can she come in tonight? Please?"
"Why should I let her?"
"Because I can get her to do what you want her to do! Just please R- sir?" He makes a good point. She seems to listen to him, and cares and talks to him as if they're old friends who haven't talked in years, which is very weird, considering how I made sure to make it seem like he was dead, but she listens to him.
"Very well then." He rushed off to tell subject A.AL the news.

Experiment: A.AL
Status: Alive. Working. Not listening
Health: Good
Day Number: 3

I glanced up to see subject AAL glaring at me as I wrote. I thought I saw shapes, or people, up in the drafters. I pass it off as the dark playing tricks on me. There's no way though. I'm going to look through the security footage from lab 3 see what A.AL was up to in there while I was testing Cory.

~Time skip past two hours of security footage~

Wow. Subject A.AL sat down and did nothing while that happened. She has a very long attention span. That could be helpful. That could be very helpful indeed. *Knocking* Ugh, why would anyone be knocking at 11pm at night on a abandoned asylum in the middle of the woods.
"Nick, nobody's gonna open up the door. We'll see if there's a way in tomorrow, OK? Just come here so we can get some sleep."
"But Uni, what if there's someone in there? I swear I saw I light in the window!"
"Nick, we'll check tomorrow. Promise."
"Fine." It sounded like two young boys, one younger then the other, talking to one another. I decide to open the doors to see them hugging each other, about to sleep. They both jump, the older one more then the younger. "See! I told you Uni! Excuse me sir, may we please come in for the night? It's very cold out here." The younger one said, jumping up.
"Nick! Don't just ask strangers if we can come in! Terribly sorry sir. My name's Uni and this is my brother Nick. We, uh, lost our parents in the woods when driving to our old neighborhood. Would you mind if we spent the night? We'd be on our way in the morning." The older boy, Uni, said sincerely. The way he said lost also tells me that their parents were killed in one way or another. They'd be perfect.
"You can stay here until your parents come, if you'd like?" The older boy knew this ment staying with me supposedly until they're the right age.
"That'd be amazing sir, thank you!" He let Nick in first, then followed. I shut the door behind them, give them some food and then take them to the same room as Cory and A.AL.
"Where are we going sir?" Nick asked very confused.
"To the room you two will be staying in tonight."
"Okay. Is anyone else here, or do you live alone?" Uni asked, trying not to let silence in.
"There are two other children. That's it for now."
"Really? What are their names? Are they nice? How long have they been here?"
"Yes really, Ashlie and Cory, they seem nice, Cory's been here for two months and Ashlie's been here for three days." By time I finish my sentence we're at the room where they are. I open the door, the brothers walked in and I shut and locked the door behind them.
"Night you lot. HAHAHA!"
